You know, I thought Pink had cannibalism themes at first but that got debunked… but here we have a song with HEAVY cannibalism implications (i.e. the fleshy sounds during the chorus and near the end, the symbol that not only resembles the rounds of a revolver but also a meat mincer, lyrics such as “let’s fuse our bodies and souls together”, “you’re already mine”, and “you’ll enter inside me”). I know Maretu’s well-known for his dark songs but this one feels especially dark since he used organ instruments and even softer vocals than usual, which is saying a lot… It’s on par with Coin Locker Baby in my opinion
Pink cannibalism theme was only debunked related to being a real case. The song itself has cannibalism theming but does not reference any real case of cannibalism.
Maretu never die because the hidden notes inside of this is crazy . 2:22 you can hear Morse code faintly that spells together forever ( I got this from someone else ) but aswell 222 is the Angel number that represents a romantic relationship . Plus I’m sure the heart represents either theirs or their lovers . After every heart is over with you can hear bone crunches which means they r literally eating their lover . And after the last two are gone I think you can like hear faint talking between aswell or whispers idk but like distorted screams throughout the song too ( plus cool detail is the heart depleting gets more shakily and aggressive in last chorus verse + the crunches ) Plus the last verse lyrics are basically saying how they are eating them ( if you analyse it deeper than what some people would think of it … ) “ You’ll enter , inside of me ! “ while there is literally crunching sounds omnomnom . “ You’ll always remain within me “ And the cooking toy lyric makes me think that they were alive but also being cooked then eaten because wdym by your cooking tous
I know there's a lot of interpretations in this about a broken marriage and toxic relationships. Yet, all I could think of is the possibility of the one singing is a kitsune who became too possessive with their partner and eventually ate them as a twisted way of "love" in fears of their partner having eyes for someone else .
I'd also like to share that after the first chorus, 2 hearts were left. If this were to really be about a toxic relationship, I really like that detail with 2 hearts. 1 to the victim, 1 to the abuser.
OMG! i have a kitsune OC that literally bit a piece of her husband off as a wedding bow that symbolized becoming one with your partner 😭 (in her defense he agreed to it, he also cut and ate a piece of her flesh as well because the bow was not one sided, so both had to eat a piece of the other to seal it) The most ironic part for me is that they're in a open marriage lol (Ps, sorry for ranting about my OCs is just that this comment fitted them too well lol)
The kitsune thing reminds of the song “Kitsune no yomeiri”. It seems plausible, but I think it applies to the cannibalism better because of the verse “my cooking toys are all rotten” and what the letters say in the flower formation in the second beat drop. It could be about a person who was obsessed so much with somebody they did a Stockholm syndrome and killed them when they did something wrong, but well, we’ll never know. Do check out the song though!
All I really thought was that someone just died, and one of their loved ones is now just showing their feelings- (That might've been a pretty dumb thought 💀)
I think it's interesting on how the song's lyrics hint at person singing to have eaten the person they loved and now being enfatuated with the fact that they now "share a body" and you can hear in the instrumental some sort of string instrument that reminds you of an organ, an instrument that looks like a piano that is played at churches, more specifically weddings which is fitting for this person who wants to share an eternal bond with their lover/victim lol it really just seems like this person was betrayed in some way and ended up killing their lover out of resentment but still loving them Anyway, props to Maretu, another really cool song, I like how this one takes a slower rhythm. Thanks for the subtitles!
oo i didnt think of it that way. i just kind of thought it was some kind of metaphor for the deed (because it is reffered as "becoming one" sometimes and sharing a body is similar enough to that)
UPDATE: I've been reading theories in Japanese, I really liked one and decided to share it. At 1:23 and at 2:49, the text is こうしてやる、but there's a subtle difference between them. At 2:49, the second letter is more connected, making it kinda look like ころしてやる、which means "I'll kill you." Perhaps the actual intended meaning of that line is "I'll kill you, traitor!" It is the part when all the hearts turn empty, plus it's also the part when a quite gruesome noise is played. Something to think about =) UPDATE 2 on 12th September 2023: At 1:05 and at 2:10 I went with a more cannibalistic approach. If you search for "cooking toys" and then おままごと , you'll get the same results. I personally still stand by this approach. I've seen おままごと being translated as "game of house", so in case you'd like a more neutral approach, I'd translate those parts as "Let's end this dried up game of house before it ends" and "Let's end this rotten game of house before it ends" I never expected this to viewed so many times. It's almost at 100K views, like what?? Thank you, I truly appreciate it, and I hope this translation could shine some line upon the meaning of this song.
@@AquatheoriesYeah, I agree. The way you pointed out the hearts dropping part, I realized that is the line when all hearts drop to zero. "I'll kill you, traitor", and then all hearts become empty, it feels very intentional. Thank you, I updated my pinned comment. Also, hi, I recognize you from Lily Alert. =)
@@sakuravikofficialI didn't notice it either until I got deep into the comments of the original video, it is very subtle. Plus, I think both of us were too busy trying to figure out what is being said there, haha. 😅
This song makes my heart ache but also I'm not entirely sure what it's about. That's always the case with vocaloid songs for me that aren't entirely direct. But it sounds like it could be about a breakup, and/or cannibalistic revenge, or it could be about falling in love with someone who then sexually assaulted you and killing them to stop the trauma. I'm just not sure but they all fit.
In Japanese, ambiguity is super important in both their language and also their culture. I personally have even started seeing it as a form of art, and I think MARETU is a great example to show that. I'm glad the translation is clear and yet simultaneously also conveys that ambiguity. About the meaning of the song, I've collaborated with some producers who like writing vague lyrics. So far, all of them reassured me that the song is up to my interpretation, and they don't mind if I translate the song one way or another. I never contacted MARETU, but I think this is also true for him. Whichever way you see it, whichever conclusion you arrive to in the end, it will be true for you, and that's perfectly okay and enough. 😊
@@ChouchooTranslations I really like that perspective, honestly! I've been trying to write music myself but I get stuck on what a song should be about as a whole, but thinking about it in terms of leaving it up to interpretation is a neat idea. I think I might take it into consideration with writing and especially listening from now on! Also this song has been stuck in my head all day, it's just really nice :) Edit: I wanted to add that this transition is my favorite also, out of all the ones I've watched today!
@@cirquedutournesol Oh my, that is quite the compliment, thank you so much! About writing vague lyrics, try it out, it may be your style. Japanese can take ambiguity to a whole new level, but you should be able to do it in English too. For example, if you have a story in your head and leave some of the main key events out, you'll surely get vague lyrics. 😁
This song gives me such a weird, sad feeling, like I'm watching a tragedy unfold The part at the end which gets used in animation memes always makes me cry
Omg I just thought of something horrific, This song is supposedly about a person killing and eating their cheating lover I think? Each time a heart depletes a bit in the song, there is a gross crunch, gore, stabbing sound? Idk to me it sounded like a eating noise. Anyway so as I said, each time a heart depletes, you hear that noise but near the end when all the hearts are depleted, you still keep hearing that noise and they vibrate. That makes me theorize that person getting eaten is STILL ALIVE while being eaten and when the hearts are all depleted, it means that the victim died but we still keep hearing the noise so I also theorize that the person eating continues to munch on the dead body. Sorry this is just my interpretation of the song.(Sorry if my wording and grammar is bad)
the cannibalistic implications make me want to think that it could be a metaphor for doing anything just to keep them with you, because i really relate to that and also the song in general (excluding the cannibalism and killing) . like, i feel like its a metaphor of them just trying to do anything because theyre afraid that their partner is gonna leave and like!!!!!!!! i completely get that!!!!!!!!!!! and it might not *be* what its actually about but i like to view it as that because it makes me feel happy that i can connect to the song a bit
I have collaborated with multiple producers before who like writing vague lyrics. When I asked about the meaning of their lyrics, they didn't mind if I translated the song one way or another. MARETU also writes ambiguous lyrics, and even though I never contacted him, I assume this is also true for him. If you see the song a certain way, don't let anyone else tell you that the song is about something else. All that matters is that the song has a meaning for you, that it has reached you, and you saw something in it, like abstract art. 😊
When I finished the song I realized and was kind of confused why that was there for so long, so like any sane person, I spent a painful half an hour gathering information. Here it is. The main focus I saw was the song length. The length of the song is 3:39, or more importantly, 219 seconds. The number 219 can be broken up into 3 numbers, 2, 1, and 9. These all have different meanings in numerology. The number 2 means the steps of creating The number 1 means the beginning of everything The number 9 means the end of a cycle. This alone tells a lot but I went deeper. The number 219 in angel numbers has the meaning of "you are ready to carry out your mission." I know this doesn't really fit the song but I feel like its to good to be a coincidence.
in my point of view, the girl killed her abusive boyfriend in Pink, found a new one in New Draling, and this now is she talking about how she loved the first one, but how she still hates him, in a toxic way, she doesn't want to forget him, she is obssesed with love, hate, and madness
my favorite vocaloid producer is back at it again baby here's my interpretation for this one (TW FOR SA, S/H, & MURDER) I feel like this is about someone who was r/ped and groomed, and they're singing about their abuser. The singer innocently loved them and believed whatever they told them, which is why they feel betrayed by their actions. Personally, I saw the "cooking toys/playing house" lines as the singer's innocence being stripped from them when they were SA'd. I was thinking the singer might be a child because of this. People see the "I'll engrave you inside of me" lines as cannibalism, but I see them more as self harm. I saw it as the singer harming themselves to cope with and/or remember their abuser's actions. I have to give credit to the translator of this video for this one for helping me notice the こうしてやる/ころしてやる lines in the pinned comment. I now also believe this song is about the singer killing their abuser, as revenge for everything they did to them. Another commentor pointed out how the symbol in the video looks a bit like a gun barrel, so that supports the murder theory. The organs in the song are ones you'd hear at both a wedding or a funeral, which I think is interesting. The wedding could be the singer wanting a pure kind of love from their abuser, and the funeral could be from the singer killing them.
or maybe the wedding music refers to the love between the victim and the abuser before they realized they were groomed? and as it goes on, it can gain a more sinister funeral feeling, but its the same tune, so its like theyre looking back on the relationship now with contempt instead of love
I think the song is about keeping a toxic relationship still running. The lyrics saying "i'll engrave you intro my body" Saying that she want to keep him. "I loved you" being that his Man doesn't want to be in this relationship anymore, also along with "traitor". "Lets get this done with before It ends" tells that she knows this relation ship Will end soon, but she wants to end It before. The little heart that are losing lives show how her man is geting hurt. "I believed you" saying she trusted him for a long time. "Even though I loved you forever." Saying that she loved him so much AND tried everything to keep him. So in summary its about a woman AND a Man in a toxic relationship AND the woman knowing that the relationship would end but wants to deny It by trying to keep him
I think the words in the circles clarify the meaning a bit: this person is in a one-sided romance. It's likely they loved someone who did not share those feelings, but perhaps never made it clear. Our narrator, may have received some form of platonic affection, like a hug or their loved one's time, and mistook it for romantic intention. So they see their love looking to other people with the same gaze (or one with more obvious intent) and feels betrayed. Not wanting to lose them, our narrator captures their intended, and eats them, while lamenting their feelings. The seven circles also remind me of the lights you would see a surgeon use, so it's possible we're in the eyes of the intended hearing the narrator's feelings as they butcher us.
i love how the organs (or whatever it's in english) playing in the backround sound heartbroken, like- you would usually hear those in lets say a wedding, but here they're screaming with sadness and suffering like the person singing.
@@TheGusst2Gamer The Japanese theories under the comment section: Are you sure about that? Jokes aside, despite it having one word, people still manage to make to make theories and how it’s about drugs and other type of things. Which shows how dedicated Maretu fans are 😭 although I agree with you, I don’t think Maretu made this song to have a meaning but to show he was still alive and well. Oh yeah I guess you can include his older songs too like let’s say all the p names and tetetrete
Could you please tell me about that trend? I suddenly got almost +200 subscribers from this video and got +70k views during the past 5 days. I wasn't able to find anything about the trend.
well, i don’t really know how to explain it, but I’ll try my best. so people have been animating the “even though i loved you” part (most replayed parts of the video). basically the trend is a character murdering another character to the beat, i think, once again I don’t really know how to explain it and im sure that there are other people that could explain it better than me.
I think she’s stabbing them or something 0_0 You can hear the flesh noises while the hearts decrease and she says all that stuff I interpreted it as her saying this to them while stabbing them I think it’s one of maretu’s more straightforward ones
@@menthaso.o8405I think cooking tools is a metaphor, but who knows And being “inside her” can either be literal if your cannibalism theory is correct or it can be an allusion to r@pe (good god, the more I think about it, the worse it gets) With the whole thing about carving them into her skin and having them “inside her”, the first thing I thought of was mikan from danganronpa lol
@@menthaso.o8405 That's how I personally saw it too. On the surface, the song is quite sweet. That the "you" has soft fingers, gentle face, the slight wedding feeling with those church organs, the way you'll "always be mine", it can be sweet. So I was waiting for the song to catch on me, it's from MARETU, there must be a catch. Then I started getting those undertones, and then it hit me: "Did she eat that person?? Oh. Ohhh... Ouugghhhh......" I hope the translation reflects that feeling that I had. 😄
Another dark song for me to add to my Vocaloid playlist!!! [More than 90% of the songs there are about dark and messed up things because for some damn reason those are the most fire, I swear]
MARETU is such a great producer!! The song's lyrics' ambiguity is perfect for people who like songs for their meaning, as they can interpret it to their liking. The gory sounds are awesome, and the organ being one of the main instruments is such a clever approach to combine with them. There's so much going on behind this song. I love it! A masterpiece as always from this producer
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE TRANSLATION! Aaahh this song hurts so good. I'm obsessed since the first time I heard it. Can't get over the way it starts, with Miku's breathing sounding like she's holding back tears 00:00 The lyrics, the organ, the slow melody... It's all perfect.
I just thought of something, you know those hearts in the corner and how they’re slowly turned black as the song goes on? Well I originally thought it could potentially symbolize life being loss as the singer slowly kills the listener, but now I’m thinking…what if the hearts symbolize the singer slowly losing their love for the listener over time? That would explain the “I loved/believed you” lyrics, as they singer *did* previously love the listener and thought they loved them back, but slowly but surely realizes the listener didn’t love them back. (Will edit later)

kinda late for this but i think "cooking tools" is supposed to refer to roleplaying house/family. the japanese word for that game more directly translates to "playing cooking", maybe because of those play kitchen sets and such?
To be honest I didn't even consider cannibalism until I read the comments. My first impression theory was that the song was about someone in an unhappy/toxic relationship (note how possessive the lyrics are), perhaps marriage due to the church organ and ending bell, that believed the only way to save the relationship was to have sex before they were ready- "I don't want what's mine to be taken away, let's fuse our bodies" and "let's get this done with before it ends." i had interpreted the 'cooking toys' line as 'playing house', that was 'rotting'- a metaphor for their relationship. I wasn't exactly sure whether the act was consensual simply unenjoyable or was assault, though, I think it's a more coherent story with the first one. The intro is the singer telling her belief that sex would save the relationship, that she would keep her lover's "heartbeat" by "engraving you into my body". The singer in the chorus feels that their relationship falling apart isn't fair, calling the other a "traitor" for betraying her emotions "even though I loved you." I didn't interpret the "kill" as literal, merely that their relationship had reached the point of morphing into hatred, then followed by the "here's what you'll do, you'll come inside me" - "you'll always remain within me" seeming like they had hate-sex, failing to save the relationship but keeping the "memory" that the singer mentions at the start. If not meant to be literal the church organ/bells representing marriage ties to the theme of the singer wanting to make the relationship permanent. As for the hearts, I think it represents the relationship's descent, how it started out full of love, but the despite the sex (the lyrics which allude to it are tied to the chorus, which is when the hearts deplete) it was not enough. It's interesting that after the first chorus 2 hearts remain- those of the singer and the lover, I think. The squishiness does sound gory, but since I had first listened to it with my own theory and not the cannibalism in mind, I first thought the sounds were.... something much more unsavory, lol. Even after all the love is gone, the sounds are still happening, the point at which the love has morphed into hatred I mentioned above, especially since they deplete fully at the "you'll come inside of me" line which is the most sexually charged lyric. I didn't even realize the circles were likely meant to be a gun barrel- at first i thought it was supposed to be a flower, which has a lot of sexual innuendos tied to it, lol. However I do think it's a gun barrel now. It's funny that it could almost be viewed as being pointed at the viewer. I'm not sure if I stand by my original theory because I do see the cannibalism aspect, though I still think there is a sexual element here because of that last line. It's funny that lots of people also think that Pink is about cannibalism, too, though I don't agree with that interpretation as much as the theme of cannibalism here. Sorry for the novel of a comment, Maretu's songs are just so interesting to analyze.
It's perfectly valid to see this song depicting a toxic relationship too. The lyrics are deliberately vague, such producers like to leave the interpretation up to the viewer. So if you see it more like that, it's perfectly valid. Like, who could legit tell you that "No, your interpretation is wrong"? :D Other translators have translated it from a broken marriage perspective, maybe that interpretation will resound more with you. Also, about the cooking toys, I went with a more literal translation there to enhance the canniballistic perspective. But if you see it more as a broken marriage, then "game of house" is valid. Though I'd read the lines together then: "Let's end this rotten game of house before it ends (naturally on its own.)" I personally went with the canniballistic view, as the more I listened to the song, the more of those undertones I got from it. On a surface, the song can seem quite sweet, don't you think so? "You'll always be mine" or "You'll always remain within me", but it's from MARETU, so I knew there was a catch somewhere. About the sexual undertones, I tried to reduce that. They're there, but for example, I translated it as "you'll enter, inside me!" rather than "you'll come, inside me!" I know that both are sexual, but I feel like the former is about 20% less sexual. 😅 About Pink, isn't that song about substance abuse / drugs? I didn't know it had a canniballistic interpretation.
@@ChouchooTranslations True! I think the cannibalistic read is interesting, it's funny that I hadn't picked up on the undertones until I read the comments, lol. I like reading people's different interpretations of the lyrics! As for Pink, I remember when it first came out some people thought the pixellated meat pictures in the video were pictures of a real cannibal's victims (the name of the case escapes me) and therefore the song was about cannibalism. I didn't agree with the interpretation myself since it was proven through comparison that the MV's pictures didn't match with the cannibal pictures and I think that would a bit disrespectful to the victim regardless. I think the connections to cannibalism are much stronger in this song, and I agree with the drug abuse reading of Pink. If not taken literally, the weirdly cannibalistic tones could be symbolism for how the couple's love breaks apart and 'cannibalizes' itself... or maybe she did really eat the lover in the end ;) I think my mind immediately jumped to my first theory because of other Maretu songs like White Happy and Packet Hero, lol. It's fun how many different interpretations come up from the lyrics of these songs!
No because this was my exact idea about the song. They rushed into the marriage not knowing the person was a shitbag and they find out they're not what they figured to be
Also maybe the cooking toys could be the person had trouble getting pregnant cause of medical reasons or conceiving to make the husband stay and then the husband started cheating cause cooking toys being "dried up" could be eggs?
I cannot be the only one who hears some form of Morse Code in the background. I cant make it out as i dont know it very well but its most prevalent for me at 2:23 to 2:45
That is a very deliberate choice from MARETU. It emphasizes the theme of being "together forever". Also, I'm unsure how much of this is true, but I'll share a theory I found in the original Japanese comments. I'm not able to find anything about this on Google. But supposedly, on weddings, the church's bell is supposed to ring 3 times: once for the past, once for the present, and once for the future. In the song, it only rings once, emphasizing how the main character is stuck in the past.
@@ChouchooTranslationsIt rang three times. 1:39 - 1 3:05 - 2 3:26 - 3 1 - The past was wonderful. 2 - The present is disgusting. 3 - The future will give death (considering that they are eaten alive, or if we are in the perspective of committing cannibalism, we will die because cannibalism can lead to disease, so the person who eats their partner will get very sick and may die) sorry for bad english since this went through a translator.
@@L3N.K I personally interpret these moments the bell rings as time is stuck for the singer, as in, they are thinking of the past about how the loved their probable SO, the present is focused on them being whole and one flesh (literally), and the future bell isn't obstructed from being heard unlike the first two, which I think is kind of a realization moment for the singer, but of course it was too late.

the sounds when the hearts deplete and especially when one of them fully depletes sound like bone crunching, and the lines of "my cooking toys are all dried up" and "my cooking toys are completely rotten" seem to symbolise that the singer kills and eats their lovers to be one with them and the previous body has rotted forcing them to find a new one.
I feel like the song is about a girl whos possibly obsessed or something with the person they were talking to, or the person was a traitor and the girl became desperate. I have no clue but thats just a theory.
I think this song is about doing the deed with someone that you loved and having a child with them. “Before my cooking tools have dried up” implies that the female singer wants to “cook something” before it’s too late to do so, which could very well mean menopause. I think it’s a hopeless song about knowing someone doesn’t love you but still being attracted to them like an animal aiming for procreation. At that point it becomes “I loved you, but now my body needs you.”
this song is so hauntingly beautiful (at least to me). That feeling of betrayal, but at the same time you still can’t stop loving that person, just the utter heartbreak. The vocals too, it sounds so emotional.

I felt like rewatching this video/translation after Binomi came out and.... now I see Even Though I Loved You in a *completely* different light. Thank you so much for your amazing work! I study translation in uni and I genuinely appreciate that not only you put little notes/clarification in the description but you also interpret and make the lyrics sound less "raw" (translated word for word is what I mean). Keep up the good work !!! (Quick question, do you plan on translating MARETU's previous/older songs?)
Thank you so much, I really appreciate you saying that!! ❤ I try my best with not only translating the lyrics, but also including what's not being said, that's where the interpretation comes in. It's not something that came naturally to me, it's thanks to all the producers I collaborated with and patiently explained to me why their lyrics mean what they mean. I also try to form cohesive sentences in my translations, consider the characters in a song, and answer questions such as "Why is this part here? Why is it important? What is it trying to convey?" These questions helped me interpret parts such as the もっと もっと もっと. At this point in writing my reply, I started writing out examples about where I interpreted what and why, but then it felt like I was boasting. Let me know if you'd like to me to write some examples / give you other songs that may be good to look at to study. Yes, I plan on translating some of MARETU's previous songs. I don't plan on translating those that were translated by Hazuki no Yume, her translations are perfect. Pink will definitely be the first one I'll translate, in my opinion, it is a widely misunderstood song. Then there's SIU and also Uminaoshi that I see a bit differently, I'd like to translate those as well.
This song has to be about a abusive relationship where the singer has had enough of seeing their partner go around and flirt with other people, causing the singer to go yandere and eat his/her/their partner. At 1:19, the hearts represent the singer going insane and at 1:42 the singer calls his/her/their partner a traitor for causing he/she/they to go insane. At 1:57 when the singer says that their face and fingers won't be taken away by anyone literally means that he/she/they won't get caught and they'll have be with him/her/their forever. At 2:00 the singer says that the partner/victim is already his/her/their's forever, the singer is becoming a Yandere. At 1:10 and 2:15 when the singer means cooking tools I think he/she/they mean that the singer is cooking his/her/their partner/victim and ate them. At 2:23 when the singer says that he/she/they believe the partner betrayed them and that the singer loved them. At 2:45 the last two hearts are disappearing and at 2:51 the singer finally lost control and killed his/her/their partner, at 2:57 when the singer finally ate his/her/their partner so they can finally be with him/her/them forever. And for the rest of the video is just organs, clapping, breathing, water and church bells. This can be taken in many different ways but this is just my interpertation
I personally think this song is related with Scrumize, Suji and Koukatsu. (Its just a personal assumption so no hate please♡) These songs are about a toxic relationship, and sexual abuse. Scrumize is in the victim's pov, Suji is the abuser's pov. In Suji there is a line saying 'so my heart burns with a need to take your innocence', which means the abuser has taken advantage of the victim by using her innocent mind. This is kinda connected with Aishiteitanoni. In Scrumize, in the first, the victim says 'don't look at me there', but in the end, she says 'don't make me touch you there', which means they switched roles at the very end. The girl felt betrayed by the abuser, she loved him but all he did was abuse her, making a toxic relationship. So she ended up killing and eating him up herself. Which was why she called him 'traitor'. In Aishiteitanoni, there's a line saying 'Give me back my emotions', which the victim says while eating him (according to the skin ripping sounds in the background..). 'I believed yo, even though I believed you, I loved ypu, even thpugh I loved you' The victim believed and loved the abuser with all her heart and followed him with so much trust but it was too late when she realized how he was really like. She was no longer the innocent and careless form of herself. And all because of the abuser. She ended up eating someone she loved dearly.

I know Maretu’s well-known for his dark songs but this one feels especially dark since he used organ instruments and even softer vocals than usual, which is saying a lot… It’s on par with Coin Locker Baby in my opinion
wait the Pink-Cannibalism theory was debunked? why?

Maretu never die because the hidden notes inside of this is crazy .
2:22 you can hear Morse code faintly that spells together forever ( I got this from someone else ) but aswell 222 is the Angel number that represents a romantic relationship .
Plus I’m sure the heart represents either theirs or their lovers . After every heart is over with you can hear bone crunches which means they r literally eating their lover . And after the last two are gone I think you can like hear faint talking between aswell or whispers idk but like distorted screams throughout the song too ( plus cool detail is the heart depleting gets more shakily and aggressive in last chorus verse + the crunches )
Plus the last verse lyrics are basically saying how they are eating them ( if you analyse it deeper than what some people would think of it … )
“ You’ll enter , inside of me ! “ while there is literally crunching sounds omnomnom . “ You’ll always remain within me “
And the cooking toy lyric makes me think that they were alive but also being cooked then eaten because wdym by your cooking tous

fr someone check on maretu 😭
Aehi
Yup
He's just silly!! :3
exactly the way i like it!
Average gachaverse storyline in 2018:
OMG! i have a kitsune OC that literally bit a piece of her husband off as a wedding bow that symbolized becoming one with your partner 😭 (in her defense he agreed to it, he also cut and ate a piece of her flesh as well because the bow was not one sided, so both had to eat a piece of the other to seal it)
The most ironic part for me is that they're in a open marriage lol
(Ps, sorry for ranting about my OCs is just that this comment fitted them too well lol)
All I really thought was that someone just died, and one of their loved ones is now just showing their feelings-
(That might've been a pretty dumb thought 💀)
I think it's interesting on how the song's lyrics hint at person singing to have eaten the person they loved and now being enfatuated with the fact that they now "share a body" and you can hear in the instrumental some sort of string instrument that reminds you of an organ, an instrument that looks like a piano that is played at churches, more specifically weddings which is fitting for this person who wants to share an eternal bond with their lover/victim lol it really just seems like this person was betrayed in some way and ended up killing their lover out of resentment but still loving them
Anyway, props to Maretu, another really cool song, I like how this one takes a slower rhythm. Thanks for the subtitles!

Something to think about =)
UPDATE 2 on 12th September 2023: At 1:05 and at 2:10 I went with a more cannibalistic approach. If you search for "cooking toys" and then おままごと , you'll get the same results. I personally still stand by this approach. I've seen おままごと being translated as "game of house", so in case you'd like a more neutral approach, I'd translate those parts as
"Let's end this dried up game of house before it ends" and "Let's end this rotten game of house before it ends"
I never expected this to viewed so many times.

@@sakuravikofficialI didn't notice it either until I got deep into the comments of the original video, it is very subtle. Plus, I think both of us were too busy trying to figure out what is being said there, haha. 😅
@@ChouchooTranslations hi i didn't do my research when i made my comments
Also this song has been stuck in my head all day, it's just really nice :)
Edit: I wanted to add that this transition is my favorite also, out of all the ones I've watched today!

THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING 😭😭
I thought I knew that rhythm!
The number 2 means the steps of creating
The number 1 means the beginning of everything
The number 9 means the end of a cycle. This alone tells a lot but I went deeper.
The number 219 in angel numbers has the meaning of "you are ready to carry out your mission."
I know this doesn't really fit the song but I feel like its to good to be a coincidence.
good thing the whole song is good and not just the trending part

my favorite vocaloid producer is back at it again baby
here's my interpretation for this one (TW FOR SA, S/H, & MURDER)
I feel like this is about someone who was r/ped and groomed, and they're singing about their abuser.
@@dimawithhismeatgrinder ooh yeah, that also makes sense

My favourite theory so far
i love how the organs (or whatever it's in english) playing in the backround sound heartbroken, like- you would usually hear those in lets say a wedding, but here they're screaming with sadness and suffering like the person singing.

I love the hearts in the corner and the sounds when they get crushed. So good

kinda late for this but i think "cooking tools" is supposed to refer to roleplaying house/family. the japanese word for that game more directly translates to "playing cooking", maybe because of those play kitchen sets and such?
I didn't know the kanji was the one for "meal" until now. I've only seen it in katakana, so I assumed it was "mama" like "mom".

Though I'd read the lines together then: "Let's end this rotten game of house before it ends (naturally on its own.)"
I personally went with the canniballistic view, as the more I listened to the song, the more of those undertones I got from it.
About Pink, isn't that song about substance abuse / drugs?
Everyone's perspective being different on the song is what I believe makes this song so amazing!
I cannot be the only one who hears some form of Morse Code in the background. I cant make it out as i dont know it very well but its most prevalent for me at 2:23 to 2:45

(Tysm for bringing me my daily dose of mentally I'll music,i will listen to this for a while ❤)
mentally I’ll ❤
the music in the background reminds me of music that they play on weddings
That is a very deliberate choice from MARETU. It emphasizes the theme of being "together forever".
Also, I'm unsure how much of this is true, but I'll share a theory I found in the original Japanese comments. I'm not able to find anything about this on Google. But supposedly, on weddings, the church's bell is supposed to ring 3 times: once for the past, once for the present, and once for the future. In the song, it only rings once, emphasizing how the main character is stuck in the past.
@@ChouchooTranslationsthat’s such a cool detail!!
@@NATAM1A for real! I love the thought and attention to detail that MARETU and Kikuo put into their songs
@@ChouchooTranslationsIt rang three times.
1:39 - 1
3:05 - 2
3:26 - 3
1 - The past was wonderful.
2 - The present is disgusting.
3 - The future will give death (considering that they are eaten alive, or if we are in the perspective of committing cannibalism, we will die because cannibalism can lead to disease, so the person who eats their partner will get very sick and may die)
sorry for bad english since this went through a translator.
@@L3N.K I personally interpret these moments the bell rings as time is stuck for the singer, as in, they are thinking of the past about how the loved their probable SO, the present is focused on them being whole and one flesh (literally), and the future bell isn't obstructed from being heard unlike the first two, which I think is kind of a realization moment for the singer, but of course it was too late.
thank you ❤❤❤

Nice
1:16 Why is this part so good
Maybe it's the main frame
the sounds when the hearts deplete and especially when one of them fully depletes sound like bone crunching, and the lines of "my cooking toys are all dried up" and "my cooking toys are completely rotten" seem to symbolise that the singer kills and eats their lovers to be one with them and the previous body has rotted forcing them to find a new one.

I LOVE IT!!!
That image might be a meat grinder.
I feel like the song is about a girl whos possibly obsessed or something with the person they were talking to, or the person was a traitor and the girl became desperate. I have no clue but thats just a theory.
A MUSIC THEORY
its just a joke
I think this song is about doing the deed with someone that you loved and having a child with them. “Before my cooking tools have dried up” implies that the female singer wants to “cook something” before it’s too late to do so, which could very well mean menopause. I think it’s a hopeless song about knowing someone doesn’t love you but still being attracted to them like an animal aiming for procreation. At that point it becomes “I loved you, but now my body needs you.”
am very late, but it feels more like wedlock/babytrapping mby?
these gory sound effects make me feel emptier uugh
BRO I WANT TO CRY
this song is so hauntingly beautiful (at least to me).

Song is so fire❤
Amazing song😇
Was it necessary to shove a whole pronouns into your paragraph 😭😭 /notneg
Although nice interpretation tho

the clap sounds like heartbeat for me. seeing the english lyrics sounds and the song titles.. clear for me.
