Bryan Johnson comes to mind.
Nothing like some venous vampirism to slightly slow down the inevitable and soothe your crippling deluding fear of death and loss of control.
What effect do regular whole blood Donations have on the donor's health? Can it help to reduce the donor's PFAS levels?
Better to do plasma donations. See this 2022 study: Effect of Plasma and Blood Donations on Levels of Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances in Firefighters in Australia A Randomized Clinical Trial
I started donating plasma monthly (free at my blood bank) about 2 years ago partly for this reason. 800 mls of plasma each time. This removes about 25% of my old plasma so over time I turned over my plasma volume many times. Also see the 2020 and 2022 studies on plasma exchange.
Wow, those were some very ghoulish experiments!
So what is the aging factor in old blood?
The point seems to be that plasma dilution is a good thing
So plasma donation as a great way to dilute, I guess, despite not being said explicitly.
I love these podcasts!
Plasma donation is free and can be done monthly at most blood banks in the US. This doesn't remove as much plasma at one time as the medical version (TPE) but then again it doesn't cost thousands of dollars either, which is what some "wellness" centers are charging. It removes a lot more plasma than whole blood donation and can be done more frequently. Multiple lines of evidence suggest benefit for older people - see the 2020 and 2022 studies from the Conboy lab on plasma exchange and this 2022 study on PFAS "Effect of Plasma and Blood Donations on Levels of Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances in Firefighters in Australia A Randomized Clinical Trial"

A couple of thoughts; Bloodletting is an ancient practice, maybe there is something to it. Does this mean there is hope for leeches and leeching to return?
Oh no, that’s not a replacement for being an actually UNDEAD, Blood FEEDING vampire 😭
“Impact of Transfusion on Cancer Growth and Outcome” BT bad for cancer patient
Someone should notify the Docs needling Joe Biden. That's a guy who could use a reduction in his decline.
Nutrition Facts isn't really the place for tinfoil hat conspiracies and politics.
Modern Dracula
Exactly: which poor soul's blood?
New wine into old bottles. Not advisable.
We need to acknowledge that there is no greater ager than time its self, even gorillaz die of old age and they eat 100 percent raw whole food plant based, so we should stop worrying about living a long time and focus more on partying and living for a good time, this may be the most profound comment ever posted on this channel, living a long life ofhealth anxiety is truely just a long life of torture, i only wish i had of realised this 10 years ago when i first went vegan for the animals and then came across this channel and was swept into health anxiety, this nerdy dr greger character is relentless and brutal and i dont think he realises what he does to peoples mental health, im sure he means well. But theres no point living for a long time as an old person who wasted there life trying to not die.. lets reel it in to reality..
There is a difference between dying of old age vs. Dying of chronic diseases.
This channel is trying to prevent the epidemic of chronic diseases that plague our lives.
