IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ!!!!!
1) To obtain the 10 levels you will need to must collect all 1000+ explorer notes from every single story map. The survivor who collects the notes gets the levels. So, getting them on Single player will not give them to you on an official server.

HLNA TROUBLESHOOTING!!!!!!!!
If you are having trouble unlock any of the HLNA Explorer notes, please refer to the common solutions below to fix it.
1) Make sure the HLNA Cosmetic is equipped in your shield slot. (Need to own the Genesis Season Pass)
2) Open in-game menu > options > reset cinematics and cosmetic items > retrigger the note at its location.
3) Run around the note’s location shown in the video, this is because HLNA notes are area notes meaning they have a chance to trigger at any point when you are within the vicinity.
4) Create a new survivor (You will lose any progress ie tames and base made by them) this will allow the note to re-trigger.
5) Do a data/save wipe, you will lose all explorer notes, skins, map data, etc but will allow you to obtain the notes with no issue when you attempt to recollect them again.
6) Best to not be on a creature when collecting the notes as the game has a higher chance of bugging out.

For those people who cannot get HLNA #1
Backup your ARK\ShooterGame\Saved folder
Transfer your characters to other gen 2 servers and random spawn
Close the game and delete The Saved folder
Start the single player game on gen 2 and watch intro cinematic
Close the single player game, now go your current server
You should get the HLNA#1 note with an EXP bonus

finally got the last 2 notes from voidwyrm and shadowmane, by far the most frustrating things ive ever done on this game in 5+ years, i hated both, both sucked.. both were bullshit
voidwyrms just never spawned, and when they did theyd either despawn while i ran to go get a weapon, or run toward the middle and die.., took me over 24 hours over a few weekends of searching
shadowmanes were easier to find, but quite challenging to tame
Hey Ninja , just a Quick question I,ve took all notes literally all of them except the new one for scorched earth , my question is , do I also have to tame the dinos that I didn't tame yet to get the 10+ Lvls ?

So, the three notes that are in the Rockwell Boss fight give me the double arrows but don’t show up in my note list. What’s more is my note list is all out of order. Note 8 is down by the dossiers and note 11 is nearby note 1. Any ideas?
For the boss notes in Rockwell, I recommend refering to the Pinned comment as that has some trouble shooting solutions. As for the note order no idea sorry why that is happening.

i'm really stuck on taming a voidwyrm, its my last one on the map, i searched for them for 10 hours today, 4 hours yesterday..
i found like 6 so far, 3 were too high level, and 3 fucked up on me, they fly off, die for no apparent reason, or despawn.. it's beyond infuriating because of how damn long it takes to find another to try again
I really dislike that fact they made certian notes locked behind taming creatures, at least on single player you can make easier but on offical that is just unfair the amount of work that is needed.
@@Ninjakiller560 was thinking the same thing, the other notes are mostly enjoyable, flying around, EXPLORING , caves were a bit tougher, I thought island cave of lost hope was tough.. but at least it wasn't this bad... And stressful

Just unclaim a baby void wyvern and claim with a maewing. It will unlock the note
@@caseyoleary2051 how do you claim with maewing? I'm trying it on a baby shadowmane and not figuring it out

Options
Reset cinematic
Save and apply
Log back into your gen 2
You will now get the xp and note unlocked

Do you have to do alpha difficulty for the bossfight notes? I really don’t wanna do the missions for it lol
You can do gamma to get the notes, however if you are trying to get the max level 180 character you will need to at least do beta to get the 15 player level cap increase.

I'm playing on a cluster where tek strider is disabled. Can I still have all the explorer notes?
If you are unable to tame it, then you wont be able to get all the notes.
so frustrating, on gen2 i spent the hard earned 6 mutagen to get into the boss fight, i went to the three spots, it played the audio, gave me XP, but didn't unlock the note for some damn reason :(
We're you getting the note on single player or a server
@@Ninjakiller560 I was on an official server, I tested it in single player afterwards and it worked on that character fine.. but that's not the same character.. online one didn't have them :(

A few players have had your issue. They mentioned once getting it on SP, next time they did on offical it unlocked.

@@Ninjakiller560 oh great news, when i got on again today (after getting them in single player, and reloading the game) it showed them all unlocked on my online character too, i didn't have to redo it
I took note # 1 from HLNA, but not with the character with which I want to get the notes, how can I do to get that note again but with the character that I want?
All this on the same server, or is it not necessary to take the note again?
In the pinned comment are all the solutions to fix any of the HLNA notes not triggering especially the first one.
If you're playing on a server cluster:
1. Reset Cinematics & Cosmetic Items in main option window (where graphics settings are located for PC)
2. Transfer to a Genesis 2 server.
After the cutscene, and once you spawn in the world and HLNA stops talking, you should get the note.

So If the box with the note glows yellow, then it is protected as the notes that I collected? I mean that I have already collected absolutely all the notes on gen2, I still need to collect them to get 10 lvls?
When you mean the note glows yellow are you refering to your explorer note tab? As if so then as long as the notes do not have padlock on them, it will mean you have collected that explorer note.
Regarding the 10 levels, the character you are using now must collect all 1014 explorer notes spread accross the story maps now.
@@Ninjakiller560 So I don't have to collect it? Does this also apply to Hlna? it's just that notes 31 32 33 are not collected again, but I used to collect them on the same account
The 10 levels is linked to the survivor who collected the notes and not the account. So when you are playing as your current survivor, check the explorer note tab. If it does not have a padlock on it that means you collected the note on that survivor. If there is a padlock it means you need to collect it for that survivor to unlock it.
So, even though I couldn't open 4 notes on gen2 (HLNA 31 32 33, and mutagen) I still got +10

No you do not need to beat the boss to collect the notes, you just need to scan them to unlock.
What game mode were you collecting them in? IE Offical server or Single player?

As some people have mentioned your issue and was resolved once they got them on SP.

What game mode are you playing? IE Offical or single player ?
Have you obtained the Explorer notes in Single player or no?
Any other infomation you can give me at all?
More info I got I can provide the exact steps to fix it otherwise all I can do is give you basic advice which may or not fix it.

No, you need all 1013 explorer notes. So you need to collect every single note from each map.

i cant get the Mutagen Record. Playing on Unofficial. Worked on SP but sadly not on the unoffi. any tipps for me? :(
Just keep trying, sadly explorer notes like this one are buggy and take a few tries.

seems like i didnt get HLNA 31-33 even tho i got the 2x buff, do i need to finish the boss for me to get them?
Are you trying to get these on Single player or on a server?

Hey, I just did alpha gen2 and the notes in there I don’t get them. I got the xp buff and all but they don’t Show in my inventory andnyone know whstthe problem?
Have you collected these notes in single player?
A few players have noted that once they had those notes in single player and then redid the battle their explorer notes unlocked without an issue.

There is no coordinates for it, as the game should automatically give it to you the moment you start the map.
@@Ninjakiller560 i got it only once the very first time ever i went to gen2 ...but since then ive been to other new clusters and its never removed they grey lock from it..
does 31, 32, 33 have to be on alpha boss ?

Are you planting it in a powered Tek crop on Gen 2?
Can u get the boss notes with out bringing anything or are they all in between different mobs?
The one in the innards will need dinos or you wont make it. In the boss battle arena itself no but if you do not defeat the boss there is a chance you wont unlock the notes.
