Yeah, it's a great balance where it's not frame or pixel perfect with draconian standards, but hard enough that you still have to put in a lot of effort to get it

There is one more that’s harder, lap 3. pizza face immediately shows and chases you throughout the level, regardless on how much spare time you have left. Imagine trying to do that whilst trying to get a P Rank as well.

I can only imagine how satisfying it must be to hear that guitar riff and see that slick animation when you P rank a stage. The way just about every maneuver in this video is executed with pinpoint accuracy and split-second timing is absolutely ASTOUNDING to me. What an undertaking, and what an accomplishment.

@@BreMeows Funnily enough, that error was actually fixed in Pokémon Advance, the sixth season of the anime. Specifically in the episode "Gone Corphishin'."
Konami Cross Media (then 4Kids) knew how much people loved the joke, though, so they still took some jabs towards the Indigo League episode "Primeape Goes Bananas."

The only 2 levels that i found very hard to P rank were refrigerator refrigerador freezerator and pizzascare

It doesn't harm the combo meter and actually counts as a transformation because it can kill rats. So it isn't a hit

A hit takes 2 seconds off the 7 second combo timer. Since one of the P rank requirements is maintaining a combo throughout the level…

Fun fact : sliding before running instantly starts mach 3 so use that instead of grabbing before running because grabbing before running makes it so that there is a delay first before mach 3. If ya know ya know 😊.

Out of curiosity, I looked it up.
And you do not have to P rank the bosses or crumbling tower and pizza to get the TV purple outfit.
However, you need to do all the bosses without getting hit to get the black outfit.

I'd buy this game but it looks pretty hard!
P-Ranking is difficult but just playing the game normally is not too hard and plenty of fun.
you don't have to get specific ranks to beat the game btw. the only thing you have to do is get toppins in levels to rent the boss gates, and even then, those toppins are plentiful enough and so easy to find that realistically, you likely won't need to find every toppin in every level.
p-ranking is a completely optional and insanely hard thing, so i dont recommend trying it the first time through, but maybe after beating the game, it could be worth giving it a shot. I've been trying to p-rank the levels and it's a whole lot of fun, even if it's super hard!
The speedrunner’s first kaizo
Even the game doesn't tell you about P-ranking until later, and is very forthright in saying that it doesn't expect them of you. This is above and beyond; it's certainly not a baseline. Just really neat.
You can get up to like 50 bucks per stage for collecting all 5 toppins, and pretty much always appear in a specific order. (Mushroom cheese tomato sausage pinapple, as shown by the win screen)

Press down while sprint jumping for the dive. While you are diving press jump for the ground pound.
