- Today is the day we get hit by Hurricane Irma. All day we feel the outskirts of the storm and only later in the night do we feel the wrath of the eye. Also, today is 9/11 and we'd like to remember all those who lost their lives and all the heroes who responded 16 years ago today. Praying for all victims of tragedy. United we stand! Rest In Peace.

Last night I was watching the news when I heard about looters in the area. If you don't know what a looter is, it's someone who takes advantage of a chaotic situation to steal things. Well I dozed off to sleep thinking about looters coming into my own home when suddenly my back door busts wide open and slams against the wall. I jump up and land on Kerens head, who is sleeping on the floor, thinking someone is here to rob us and yell to her, "Run for the kids!!! The robbers are here!!!!" as I ran towards the back door. She freaks out and runs into their bedrooms while I check every room in the house and it turns out to be just the wind. I come back to get Keren and tell her it was just the wind that blew the door open and she finds out I jumped on her head for no reason. This woman smacked me so hard, I slept through the entire hurricane. I cried. Hurricane Irma cried. My back doors even cried with me. I look before I jump now.

I live in MI and was not scared of tornadoes until I had kids. It's scary having to protect someone you love more than yourself.

Watching this gave me goosebumps, both my mom in Seguin, Tx..and my dad in Rockport, Tx (which Harvey hit HARD) both lost their homes...seeing any of a hurricane is still a fresh wound. Yall stay safe!

Have you guys heard of Tile? Its a little button in the shape of a tile that you can put on your keys and your purse or bag and you get the app you're able to find your keys and purse/bag. If you lose your phone you hold the tile twice. It really works. One of my brothers and my mom has it since they lose it all the time.

My family in the Caribbean got hit so hard by Irma St. Thomas, Tortola, St.Kitts, Dominican Republic and St. Marteen. But all have their lives. Just damaged homes. So they're coming here (ATL) to stay for awhile. This hurricane was no joke. Its here in GA right now and winds are pretty strong. I pray that everyone in the path of this storm stays safe.
