I didn't think much of Jessica Chastain before my first encounter with her. I saw her approaching fans and signing autographs, and i know how all celebrities act-they just sign something without even looking at people, but She was so different! She looked at every person in their eyes EVERY time she was signing autographs! She took her time to honor Every person! I didnt even bother to ask for autograph because i was observing her and admiring what she was doing. I could see it was challenging for her to look at everyone in their eyes (its so intimate and powerful) but she did it anyway! So much grace, so much respect, so much honor! After that every time i see her im reminded of her amazing qualities, Thank you, Jessica!
Thank goodness for Tessa Thompson; her willingness to engage more with the other actresses helped open up the conversation instead of everyone just answering questions. Every year, these round tables have one who helps break the conversation open, and Tessa was this year's MVP for that.

This is my favourite Roundtable to date. Everybody is so chill and talking about their work and their approach as opposed of being a female in the industry which was getting old.
Very true!! I love that they talk about their work! Its been so frustrating how the other roundtables have been so about being a woman in this industry. In this one they get to talk about their projects more I think.

Some actors round table, male or female, are very self-absorbed and difficult to engage with because they don’t really care about others’ views just their own experience. This is not the case here-these ladies are very articulate about their roles and considerate towards each others’ stories.
Ms. Stewart's brilliance in the movie and during the roundtable about her craft was made clear by her talking about the one real thing Princess Di had was her children--what Kristen said was intended was completely 100% what i saw on the screen. Diana loved her two boys and when she was with them, she was confident and natural and different than she seemed in any other circumstance. I left the movie knowing Diana in that regard.

Kristen was incredible in Spencer. I love her anyway but I was a bit scared that it wouldn't live up to the hype but it truly was a role of a lifetime. It is by far my favourite portrayal of Diana.
The best thing about Spencer's response is from Ken Wharfe, the former bodyguard of Princess Diana. Apparently he liked the movie and praised Kristen's performance calling it the most accurate portrayal of Diana of all portrayals in the last 10 years, she's very close to how he remembers Diana. That's honestly an amazing response and probably the highest honor the movie could've get considering that Wharfe worked for Diana before

Well done to Jessica Chastain pushing back on the narrative of James Bond underperforming - $700m in a pandemic and counting + the streaming revenue - it’s doing fine actually and it deserves to be seen too cos it’s fantastic.
Final box office earnings is $774.2 million on a $250-$301 million budget. Adding promo costs to it the movie cost around $350 million and needed at least $800 million to break even. Considering it was the Pandemic and was only $25 million away from the break even goal, I'm confident it would have easily earned more than $800 million without COVID. That's not a normal box office failure movie.
I love this roundtable! All of them uniquely talented! So happy for Kristen and Kiersten to finally get their due. When you listen to someone like Kristen Stewart talk, you can tell that every fiber of her being was born to make movies. Electrically smart and super talented women! Best group yet!
Kristen Stewart is such an inspiration. The way she talks about her work and what motivates her gives us glances about the willpowet behind her amazing performances!
Chastain should be in every roundtable discussion in the industry. Her honesty, support of female creators and artists, and talent just make my heart swell endlessly. Thank you Jess.
Kirsten Dunst & Kristen Stewart are absolute legends so I was obviously going to be here for them, and they give 2 of the year's best performances-but the SURPRISE for me is Tessa Thompson who gives THE BEST film performance I've seen by anyone, male or female or nb, in film this year, followed by Dunst, Stewart, Olivia Colman, and Ruth Negga. Regardless, they're all brilliant. Hudson and Chastain's films aren't my cup of tea but Emilia Jones is a revelatory breakout.
Just love that Kristen was not wearing heels..She’s known to not like heels and she still hasn’t changed despite the growth and maturity she’s been through.
I love how each one of these actresses is passionate about the craft-not the success or material gain from it. It seems so undeniably genuine and like their drive comes from within. I’m so incredibly inspired by their drive to perfect their craft.

"He's selling COVID cures on the internet" The weight of that statement hits hard man. There is sooooooo much connected to it and maybe a perfect example of what the society we live now actually IS. And tied to that, also the perfect reason as to why this medium is still so incredibly important. In a time when we seem to be disconnecting more and more from each other precisely because we have too many means of connecting, film (and tv) is still a way of holding up a mirror and invoking empathy and sympathy where otherwise there might not be any. @@samsong24 why dont just make your own mind up and form your own opinion and watch it. Its on netflix if you start watching it and dont like it turn it off .
@@samsong24 it's not boring at all. It's very tense and beautifully layered.
@@samsong24 No
@@samsong24 give it a chance, I promise you won’t be disappointed. I felt the same way, but after it was over I was impressed with what she and the cast did in that film. It’s been a few days since I’ve watched it and it’s still haunting me. It makes you question what you have been watching.
RESPECT was everything. I'm rooting for Jennifer! To come from American Idol to now playing the Queen of Soul Aretha is like a full circle moment. I remember her audition on American Idol. Lovely panel. I enjoyed this conversation.
Kristen Stewart has grown so much, she never did interviews like this. love her mind
Yes she has lol
Spencer is a masterpiece film. BRAVO Pablo Larrain, Kristen Stewart and the entire cast .
I love this roundtable! All of them uniquely talented! So happy for Kristen and Kiersten to finally get their due. When you listen to someone like Kristen Stewart talk, you can tell that every fiber of her being was born to make movies. Electrically smart and super talented women! Best group yet!
I love seeing Kristen in this conversation, so amazing!
Spencer was phenomenal I am rooting for Kristen to win the Oscar
😂😂😂😂😂
me too!!!
Emilia Jones was phenomenal in CODA. This was a great roundtable, great moderator, actors, and discussion.
"Passing" actually was in theaters in some markets so it might be a surprise contender for Oscar noms.
YES! She was magnificent. I hope more people take it upon themselves to see the film. She deserves her flowers!

Kirsten Dunst & Kirsten Stewart are two of my favorite actresses. Great to hear their honest perspective alongside these amazing actresses.
same 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
So proud of Emilia Jones reaching this far in her career! Excited to see more from her
Just love that Kristen was not wearing heels..She’s known to not like heels and she still hasn’t changed despite the growth and maturity she’s been through.
Lmaooooo when Jennifer reacted to the COVID cures answer, I'm dead, she was like, "so we not gon react to that????"
I love how each one of these actresses is passionate about the craft-not the success or material gain from it. It seems so undeniably genuine and like their drive comes from within. I’m so incredibly inspired by their drive to perfect their craft.
The only thing I can say is that Jennifer Hudson is divine and a once in a generation talent
Yes, she is so epic!
I really love that Emilia Jones is in this.
She was truly amazing in CODA.
It's definitely one of my favorite movies from this year.
this might be my favorite roundtable yet! rooting for Kristen Stewart to sweep
Tessa Thompson is so gracious. There's something so charismatic and elegant about the way she carries herself and speaks.
Kristen should really start a podcast... like her voice is really relaxing
Her voice and mind is meant for podcast. Literally
@@ricardogomez9547 agree
Which Kristen??
@@NYCITY3 Kristen Stewart bruh. There's only one Kristen in that table, the other one is KIRSTEN Dunst, different pronounciation lol
@@NYCITY3 Stewart
RESPECT IS EVERYTHING!! rooting for Jennifer Hudson all the way!!
Kirsten Dunst is the friend I really wish I had. We are the same age and I loved her ever since Interview with a Vampire. She is so relatable and real. Love her!
Black Jade Qilin, doesn't it feel like an honor being the same age as people you admire🙂?
Agree
Wish it was more of a discussion but still nice to hear them share. And I really enjoyed listening to Kristen; she’s always so insightful.
I love Jessica Chastain's performances and I love how she mentioned Cate Blanchett, really amazing acresses right here but I'm always so impressed and blown away by Jessica honestly, and Its really nice to see what she thinks of these roles behind the scenes and the profession itself. I also want to add that Kristen is getting better and better roles as she ages and thats truly awesome to see, I loved her in Spencer and im very impressed at her development as an actress.
Gosh Kstew is so funny at the same time very intelligent it seems like she's got so much to say and talk about but is running out of words. Her brain definitely works faster then her mouth. I love my intellectual queen ❤️
Kristen Stewart's brain is way more faster than her mouth. she's almost running out of words wherein she has so much ideas in her mind... I could listen to her talking forever...
She may have adhd
I agree, reminds me a lot of myself. It blows me away how articulate and intelligent she is though.
This was one of the best round tables that I’ve seen in awhile. Love that the moderator let them talk and kept the conversation going instead of interrupting them like others tend to do. All of the actresses had great things to say and seemed to really vibe with one another. Also loved that they really don’t care about rotten tomatoes lol 😂
They're all so inspiring.
So proud of Emilia Jones! I loved her performance in What We Did on Our Holiday & knew ever since that she would achieve great things! 💕
I really felt emotional with Jessica Chainstain's performance as Tammy Faye. She did that! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I was in SHOCK when I saw the movie. I wasn't expecting anything, I just left the theater feeling very emotional. She really did Tammy justice. Masterly performance from Jessica. I really hope she wins.
I got choked up just hearing her explain here the impact Tammy had & her courage to bring a gay man on her show. It made me recall the film and how beautiful that moment was. 🖤
Kristen using AMAZING WORDS TO EXPRESS HER IDEAS ARE JUST INCREDIBLE!!!
This is a roundtable I was so excited for. Icons. The nostalgia from seeing most these actresses for so long. Well done ladies! Rooting for all of you!
I really enjoyed this! You can really see how every actor is coming at this from their own, unique place.
It’s been so long since Jéssica’s Chastain last Oscar nomination. I really hope she’ll be recognized this season and I’m I awe with everything Kristen Stewart is achieving, her frontrunner status is so exciting!
kristen stewart is an underrated queen
Kristen is so insightful and I've always enjoyed watching her interviews ever since. She has gotten more comfortable and confident expressing her thoughs now and her personality shines through.
Incredible performance in Spencer!
Jessica Chastain and Kirsten Dunst need to win their respective categories this year. Brilliant work!
Yes!!! They're my picks for next year. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great roundtable! Wow, Tessa Thompson is so graceful
...when she's not having a wild night out with Taika and Rita, sure I guess.
Extraordinary is the word to describe Jennifer Hudson
This year is Kristen and Kirsten’s year. Two very overlooked actresses. Hope they get nominated for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, respectively.
Hopefully
I love seeing Kirsten Dunst and Jessica Chastain at the same table. Two of my favorites.
Jessica Chastain blew me away in The Eyes of Tammy Faye, she surely conveyed so much in her performance. All these ladies are madly talented, having said that, I found Jessica, Tessa, and Kirsten the most interesting. Gotta love smart and interesting women!
Everyone is in high heels except for Kristen, she's so unique and genuine and cute. I love her ❤️
And that she just can't keep her feet still! She is so REAL, love listening to her, and watching her hands talk...
i've seen Respect and Passing. brilliant, brilliant performances. now i'm excited to see everyone else's after this roundtable.
Love these roundtables! This is such a great group of talented, interesting, and thoughtful women!
Wow after so many years I've never thought to say this but after watching the roundtable of these gourgeous and talented ladies I am so in awe of Jennifer Hudson! What a strong mindset of do what you love! I just need it that approach!
jessica has such a caring mom energy i love her
"He's selling COVID cures on the internet" The weight of that statement hits hard man.
Also I really love Jessica and Tessa and the way theyve chosen the stories they tell
If rubbed me the wrong way she laughed after saying she judged Tammy Faye too hard. THEN DONT JUDGE JIM.
i’ve been following jessica and kirsten’s careers for such a long time i just wish to see them getting the recognition they deserve (when it comes to awards)
PREACH. Long overdue!
Give Kristen her well deserved Oscar NOW!
Never
i am rooting for her!
@@imrozkaur8458 I'm rooting for Alana Haim, she gave a much better performance in my opinion
@@JohnDoe-tm9wz You liked Alana's performance more than Tessa's or Lady Gaga's performance?
@@nikitamohanan2124 Yes I did, Alana surprised me in that movie, didn't think she could act so well. In my opinion she deserves at least a nomination
Jennifer gave her heart and soul to Respect, I hope she wins the awards for her portrayal of Aretha Franklin
I didn’t want this to end!! Love hearing from passionate people in the industry, and this was such a great combination of people!
That outfit on Kristen is everything.
I’m really liking this years Oscar nominees
These are just potential Oscar nominees. Usually, 2 or 3 don’t receive nominations, as more movies are released
@@ask4theupgrade359 I’m aware of the game lol.
Interesting that they brought Emilia when Rachel Zegler is the wild card who will likely get the Oscar nom
This is probably my favourite Roundtable to date, everybody seems to be having a great time meaning that there's no tention AT ALL, congrats to all these amazing and talented actresses.
The best interviewer yet, really nice demeanour and he didn’t think it necessary to tell us what his position was at HR.
Jessica and Jennifer wow 🤩
I really love this guy. This is the most comfortable I've seen guests and he really allows them to speak and is okay to discuss different aspects that pop up and deviate from his questions. Well done.
Here for the wonderful and talented women ✨ Love these women 💛 And also, Tessa x Kristen movie, WHEN?
Wow, All actresses are Talented and Amazing in their Unique way. Also, Love Kristen Stewart getting appreciated as being underappreciated Before/Now.
I love this new setting and the colours they're all wearing!! Such a great group of actresses here.
*of all these women, I most gravitate toward Kirsten Dunst. She's so humble and elegant*
and a phenomenal performance in Power of the Dog
Kirsten Dunst regularly makes films she's in better by virtue of being in them. Really hope she finally gets some long overdue recognition.
Ive been waiting for another face to face Round Table for so long!!! Thank you THR for giving us this incredible content for free on TH-cam :)
