This Song take Me back to the 70s and We use to Party hard off of this Song and What Fun Memories just from Listening to this Song 🙂 Chance with you by Brother to Brother and Thanks for the Memories 💖
After I bought this album, I would lay on the floor for hours in front of the stereo; between the speakers, absorbing every note, chord and bar of this song. When I wasn't laying on the floor, I was on the floor...It made me dance!
I heard this the other on Sirius Radio in my car...JAMMED THE WHOLE WAY HOME! I remember my dad playing this way back in the day on a Saturday night....GOOD TIMES🔥🤟💥 The instrumentation is ABSOLUTELY AND DEFINTIELY SYMPHONIC🔊⬆💘🎶💃
Whoo! dancing til you sweated out the afro! Hubby was a traveling DJ at the time. Carried a couple of copies of this album (along with about 200 others) to your house. Yea 70s.
They only lasted for about a minute, but make no mistake, this group, this album kicked ass back n da day! Groups like Brother to Brother, Mandrill, Brainstorm and dozens of other groups by true definition are ironically Unsung even by the TV show of the same name.
A lot of people don't know this group... they were over-shadowed by Quincy Jones Brother's Johnson... But I had this album and it had some Hit's, very good work for it's time.... Let your Mind be FREE!
The Players on this Album,: BROTHER to BROTHER!! *Billy Jones*, Lead Vocals, Funky Guitar, / *Brian Cromo*, Funky Fingers Keyboards/ *Jonathan Williams* ,funky Bass/, *Clarence "foots" Oliver*, Nasty Funky Drums/ These guys were Studio Session Musicians for Joe & Sylvia Robinson Recording Labels /All Platinum Records, Stang/ Vibration/ Turbo/ Chess/ & Sugarhill Records/ Google: All Music Guide:THE RIMSHOTS/ Joe & Robinson House BAND 🎶🥁🕶️
Interesting story. I loved this song as a kid. Asked a friend the name of the song, he gave me some guy's name. All I had to go on was "Blair" and "Can I have a date with you". Could never find it on TH-cam over the years. One night the song popped up in my mind and I said I wonder if the word was "chance" typed in the title and for the first time in 40+ years I'm hearing my jam from sixth grade! 😊🎶 Along with the correct Artist!
When I first heard brother to Brother's first release in the bottle I was hooked but then when I heard chance with you I was really a fan excellent excellent funky smooth cut too bad they don't make them like this anymore thanks for posting

That's who I thought did this song, The Brothers Johnson. I know the difference now but the name threw me off when I was a little funkster.
Not to mention bro Johnson also out shined Avalon around the same time. Avalon rock and roll gangster.
