    I can drive my jeep with one finger. No fighting to stay in a lane. Oh, mine is lifted and fully loaded for camping and overlanding.

    I really love the Wrangler's styling and infotainment system, but the steering is the worst I've ever encountered. Go do an extended test drive, and you'll see just how imprecise the steering is. Very disappointed.

      Administrator It has live axles, F/R. Of course the steering won't feel like any SUV with a IFS. And...it's a Wrangler! It has never steered well.

      It’s a off road vehicle of course steering is what it is, you need Mercedes

      Actually, and I haven't driven one yet so I don't have personal experience with it, but there's a huge thread on one of the JL boards on the topic of sloppy steering. A lot of owners that have owned many different solid axle Jeeps (XJ,ZJ, WJ, TJ, JK) are saying the JL is by far the worst.

    It's funny people complaining about mrsp brand new price. Date is 2/17/2022. Used jeep sports are going for mid to high $30s with like 50k miles. They were header brand new

    I like Wrangler but it got ridiculously expensive over the years. This one is 47k without power hard top. For that kind of money, you can get V8 Grand Cherokee which would be better vehicle in 99% situations. Even when going with something more cheaper, you are looking at least 35-37k for pretty much basic 4 door Wrangler. They are excellent off road, but I am not sure how many owners are ready to actually use their 50k Wrangler in extreme conditions.

    All the negatives in the Jeep review vids are the same…every..single..year
    It’s a JEEP it’s not a luxury vehicle!

  • @novalawhp
    @novalawhp 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    That price IS a little ridiculous.......I've owned a 98 Wrangler and can definitely say they're a blast to drive.........but at almost 50 grand makes it kinda hard to think about buying when it wouldn't be my daily driver

    My guess is a diesel rubicon manual will be the one for off road fanatics.

    I've driven the new Wrangler with the 2.0T and hard-top. While they do get pricey, so does anything these days(we have $70k half-ton pick up trucks for instance). Factoring in the creature comforts, so many factory customization options, and the fact that this is the most civilized Wrangler ever sold, on top of literally being in a class alone(the G550 starts at 4 times the price of a base Wrangler, and nearly 3 times the price of a fully maxed out version), it seems appropriate.

  • @markdarnell2792

    These comments on the steering is completely false, I had a 06 Rubicon and now a 2018 Rubicon JL, I have lifted. It with 37” tires. The steering is electric and perfect, cruise down any roadway and tracks straight. The is nothing wrong with the new JL, maybe people expect a Mercedes when it comes to driving one. Thousands upon Thousands sold but yet steering feel must be bad compared to other Jeeps, I know for a fact that’s not correct, I have owned 2 and driven many over the years

    • @ggolds5
      @ggolds5 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a well known well documented fault in the steering box. Some JL's far worse then others. Do you research. There are hundreds of discussions on Jeep forums and on TH-cam videos, including one by Jeep mechanic TH-cam video "Jeepinforment" that finds, and fixes the flaw. After you watch that you will be better informed about your JL. Some JL's might not show this defect nearly as severe as others. Some are unbearable.

      Just cause some Jeep owners have an issue with the steeering feel doesn't mean that their complaint is valid. Sure every manufacturer has had their fair share of problems with their vehicles. But I'm incline to believe the guy above you (Wrangler JL) in that some people expect a SUV like ride due to them being spoiled by IFS suspension and unibody crossovers. Lol

      @@Sig721Tau UPDATE. I've had my JL 2019 Unlimited Sahara MOJITO!!! for a month and 2000 miles. Rides great, great steering. Even got the Auto emergency braking, radar distance speed control. Every option accept the color matched hard top. I got the black top. Love it. No issues.

    Not ‘upwards of $40,000’.....easily upwards of $50-60,000 if you want a fully loaded Rubi or Sahara, or even some fully loaded Sport models.

    mine is rusting and all the welds are bad on the frame. Also the electrical and computer system are having major issues. While driving it loses power to the wheels, the 4x4 engages, and disengages the sway bars the first it happened I almost lost control. The message then pops up pull over the vehicle will stop soon. I would wait awhile on the 2018 JL Wrangler. It does have issues. Very disappointed.

  • @Sig721Tau

    Those who want power seats in their Jeep shouldn't own a Wrangler. Go back to the mall with your overpriced G Wagon.

    Love the new JL’s. Just ordered a 2dr rubicon w/ soft top. Wranglers are hands down the most purpose built off road capable vehicles right from the factory in stock format. The new JL’s finally also have better on-road performance and creature comforts w/ technology upgrades to make them great as a daily driver too. Kudos to Chrysler and cant wait to finally get my JL in about 6-12wks.

    This guy is hating on it... he is young and as a millennial probably only gets excited about BMW .... like the Z4... no matter. I have friends w the new Jeep and it rides really good.. quite surprisingly, and their very quiet with the hard top... i found them fun to drive too and track very true on highway. I’ve recently test driven the 4Runner and found it SUV boring and it felt underpowered.. and I own a Toyota.. with the resale highest in the land and new creature comforts I may very well jump in.. hey I want the iconic ability but let’s face it, why wouldn’t you want to have it comfortable for everyday use.. unless you ran idiot.. hard core dufus...please.. you want it all.. happy motoring!!
