    Hope you are all doing well! Took a short break just to adjust to a new reality ❤ However, as I have pre filmed few videos, keep an eye on my channel as the next episode will show you how to incorporate those principles in a regular every day looks ❤

    I have always thought that I couldn’t wear nice clothes because of my prominent mid section. I wear leggings and oversized hoodies to hide. Sometimes jeans and a cardigan but always with a loose top underneath and jeans are so so hard to get for my shape. I always have a ridiculously large muffin top. I don’t know how I ended up here but I could cry. I learned so much from this video, thank you.

    Having a Muffin top & love handles has been big insecurity of mine. Also the big stomach in general. Eating right has helped lose weight. My body is sorta skinny compared to my huge belly. Now I gotta workout and stop wish it could magically be cured lol. I'm glad videos like this exist so I know I'm not alone with my apple shape.

    This is my daughter's body shape. She has Down syndrome, she just turned 14th and it's been a challenge for me to dress her in nice and cute outfits, because most of the times she ends up with leggings and huge t-shirts because it's easier. We live in Brazil where's mostly warm, so a third piece isn't always an option. She has no language, but I can see she's uncomfortable wearing dresses. Still I want her to wear cute outfits and not just comfy, but no shape stuff. I'm loving this format. Show us your cute baby more often. Thanks from Brazil

      Hi, Erica! Since scarves might look a bit off on 14 year old girl, try playing around with prints! Also choose trendy accessories to add fun, for instance, place a metallic bum bag (use half tuck or place it sideways), scrunchies, fun vivid color vans, etc. Why not to try replacing leggings with straight fit cropped jeans?
      I really hope you can play around and have a great time together while finding out some new styles to make her happy! ❤ my best wishes to you both! ❤

      We have the same problem. I'm turning 45 soon and I'm apple shape too. I'm childless and still challenging to keep the wait off. So I'm trying Vietnamese Zumba dance and it's works. Unfortunately still challenging to get rib off the mid section at all. Unless I'm gonna do keto. Diet no carbs and sweet at all. It works but challenging.this video so helpful.

    Hi, Geidra! You have the absolute BEST tips! I never realized the significant difference a few cm on jacket length could make! I mean "at the hip," "just above the hip," can be such a subjective and misleading description in a catalog. I liked your description of "at the top edge of your underwear" (on the side)! That's much clearer! I also said I would NEVER wear my thick yoga pants & a long tee out of the house, but today staying at a small hotel (with no meal service) near the hospital where my husband just had heart surgery, I found myself out picking up some take-out food & wearing these very yoga pants & big tee! Ewwww! I'm really glad I'm 100 miles from home! Nobody knows me here! These were intended to be "just my in the room" loungewear during this time of isolation! Here in NE Texas there are probably only abt a dozen people in this hotel! But I don't want even them to see me! Thanks for your encourageing tips today! Tomorrow will be better, God willing! Well done, Geidre!👍 You and your family stay safe!! 🙏❤❤💞💞 Shirley

    I have a pronounced apple body shape, which means I look about 7 months pregnant at all times. Tops that gather under my bust look horrible, and I am always asked when I'm due... Also speaking frankly, wearing longer tops serve the purpose of covering up my apron belly and camel toe (not sure what it's called in other languages). So I will risk looking shorter/frumpier to hide those areas. I agree with all other tips listed.

      Hi! Try out using belt in the same color as your top and show only half of it (you can hide the other half under your top) and try belting in different places just to see if it works for you. Take photos of each look so you can compare. If you don't like - you don't. Do not worry there are plenty of other ways to streamline your silhouette ❤

      Every body is different and unique and the total visual harmony is the most important, however usually the general principles apply, just make sure to make them work for yourself. For instance, makes sure you lift the breasts (this helps to distinguish the waist) and of course pay attention on the whole look by taking photos. Many different women send their pictures to me after applying those principles and it is amazing to see the difference. Hope it helps and you will find your way! Lots of love,

    Hi! Ich dachte lange das ich ein Apfeltyp bin, weil ich immer schon ein paar Kilo zuviel hatte... mir hat dann eine Freundin erklärt das ich eher eine Sanduhrfigur habe... Seit ich meine Sanduhrfigur betone fallen die paar Kilos zu viel gar nicht mehr auf... Trotzdem beachte ich die Tipps für beide Figurtypen. LG

    Why pick shoes with ankle straps? They cut your leg off and shorten the perspective. I think it's better to avoid them unless you have stick-thin legs. Even great and shapely legs on someone with an apple shape look dumpy and cut off with ankle straps in my experience. Hope you're well!

    Hello, what if you are a short waisted apple? I’m worried that I’ll look even more so if I belt above my natural waist!

    • @giedre
      @giedre  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Great question and yes there is a risk of looking a bit disproportional I believe. In case you want to try it out - use same color belt as your top or/and show only half of it (you can hide the other half under your top) and try belting in different places just to see if it works for your body shape (take photos of each look so you can compare). It is all about small details and finding out what works the best for you! :) Enjoy the process ❤

      Hi there! You might use scarves, longer necklaces, any color blocking or prints that helps to divide or bring attention upwards. Big earrings can work too ;)

    Is it possible to have a combination of a apple and a vertical triangle body shape? I have no taille and a massive bust. I am overwhelmed what suits to my shape.
    I am afraid to spotting the focus on my tummy with a belt, in my point of view it would look awkward with big breast and a big tummy.
    A apologize for my English. I'm not a native speaker.

    • @giedre
      @giedre  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you mean apple+inverted triangle? Yes, that is possible, the main goal is always to divide the sections you want to appear leaner or diminishing their appearance. For instance, you can try half tuck, tunic/dress with diferent colors (color blocking), you can use a belt but show just a 1/2 or 3/4 of it not to showcase the whole midsection or to shorten your waist (which is not a flattering option for big bust). Experiment with your selections of style and remember it is usually about those small details that can really creative a difference. Please have a look into my older videos with other women, styles might be a bit outdated, but the general principles still apply. Hope it helps! ❤
