All tips were helpful. But I like the most the unspoken one, the use of color to bring a touch of youthfulness and playfulness to the outfits and Martina. So very lovely 😍
It’s hard to pick which tip I liked the most. The red asymmetrical dress is definitely stunning. But a lot of the other tips were really good too. Making a V upper body silhouette by lengthening the shoulders and v neckline, lengthening the silhouette using vest and tunic, and showing legs while covering upper body. Well done!
😮 Geidre, you nailed it with an asymetrical outfit. Me, always struggling with an apple styling i my early 50s, I will certainly give it a go. Martina was stunning in an asymetrical red dress. Extended shoulders looks plausible as well.❤
I have a rectangle shape, but I always find lots of value in your videos. Outfit #5 and #9 were my favorites. And tip #4, I was unconsciously achieving that when tucking my tops, but now I understand why it likes me! Thanks, Giedre!
I like the criss cross styling with the blouse, and the white dress with the bottom ruffle -- the green ruffled dress just overwhelms a short person. I also liked that you used drape in some of the tops -- i.e. a draped sleeve and draped hemline. Thanks for these great tips.
I liked 7 and 8. We apples do not like belts. Period. People keep telling us to wear belts. The Green dress I would add a belt underneath the bust line. The monochrome pastels make me blend into the wall , especially now that my hair has gone Gray. As for shoes, they look great but I must wear tennis like boots because of a disability.
I avoid belts (straight silhouette). A top that ends at the waist (or longer crop) gives a similar look. No skin showing. It is comfortable for midi and maxi skirts and high-waisted pants.
Than you for sharing your thoughts. With regards to belts - it's always an option. We always have a choice to wear it or not but it's trickier to wear a belt for apple-shaped ladies, but I wanted to show that's still possible to make even some visual corrections when wearing a belt too.
I found all of these tips helpful, and love these outfits. I especially love the white dress with subtle hem ruffle ... simple and elegant. Thank you, Giedre!
Thank you! I love learning how to dress an apple shaped body. Some of these tips made such a huge difference. I bought a few items this weekend and two of them will be going back because they look like "before" pieces. Thanks!
Oh Giedre! You are so good at what you do! 🙂Please explain tip #4 and the strategy with the belt. I am always trying to get the belt part right because it does make such a difference! Just when I am about to give up, you inspire me to try again. Also - tip #9 is stunning! 💃What a wonderful dress for her!
I'm so glad to hear that, thank you for sharing! With regards to belt yep, the one with some open space in the middle is a really great choice to divide the midsection and elongated the body as well. Also hiding the side dits of the belt is a helpful way to diminish the appearance of wider midsection. It's all about the visual effects we create on our bodies and most importantly - it's available to ALL OF US :)
We managed to film an episode with Martina! If you saw we did together a live shopping session searching for an outfit for her, however the one was found off the camera, haha! Let us know which tip did the biggest difference in your eyes? Martyna really liked an outfit upgrade in tip #2
hi:) so happy to see Martina in this video after watching a live session. In my eyes the tips numer 5 and 9 make the biggest difference thanks for the video
@@judybunnell9202 yep! We were lookig for thw ways to make it work as the print and design is so beautiful and colors suit Martyna, and apparently turnig it around (the zip is on the back 🫢) and tucking in the collar worked magic! Martyna will tailor it 💃
Where is the white top from tip #7 from? Looks amazing. Also thanks for the idea of extending the shoulder line. I tried on a blouse some days ago and it was totally different from what I normally wear. I had no idea why it looked good and couldn't get myself to buy it. But now I know that it did exactly what your idea was about: It extended my shuolder line.
Thank you for the feedback! Yep, extending shoulder provides visual correction for the rest of the body. It is really a good ti especially if you are on the taller side :) the white blouse (kind of peplum top) is from Zara: 3055/572
Great video and all these I have noticed on myself. I’d like to better understand why though. Like “balance off volume” I have worn some versions of that green dress many times and finally figured out a shorter length is better but I don’t understand why because it’s still kind of a shorter blob…but it works somehow.
I liked 7 on making that pretty dress more flattering with a v neckline by undoing some of the buttons and tucking in the collar! I also liked the stategic belt tip, and the asymmetrical dress! ❤
I thought 2, 5, 6, 8 and 9 were the most dramatic. #2 was new to me. I have somewhat wide shoulder, so not sure it would work, but I'll have a look. Thanks!
I also like to wear an adherent top with a medium-high waist flared bottom...from the side it might not be great (but honestly there is only so much you can do), but from the front it creates an illusion of a more hourglass figure
she looks stunning in that outfit! And actually it was an outfit for a special occasion Martyna ended up buying herself after our live shopping session :)
I prefer your videos where you speak during the videos instead of just music. I’m usually multi tasking while watching so I easily miss the caption. Or if you could leave the caption up.
i think the length of the pants is not flattering al all it is just the fashion now,but they make every body shorter, apple or pear, short or tall, they bring the eye to that part of your leg which does little for your figure, your ankles😢
@@giedre Thank You Giedre for giving me the link..I am from India..I am not sure how well we can carry netural and white outfits coz the place is dusty and makes the outfit dirty and stained. Pls suggest us outfits with more dark combinations. TIA
Re: outfit #1 You can also balance upside down. I have a similar silhouette. I wear the leggings with straight or aline tunics with a slit that hits below the knee.
I have learned a lot from your other videos, but not this one. The problem is the model does not have an apple figure. She is not busty. She is not chubby around the middle. Her belly does not protrude and she clearly has a waist. In truth, she doesn't look better after your adjustments because she looked good to begin with. There's no shortage of apples out there-- please challenge yourself next time.
I liked the coral dress option the best. She looked really pretty in that color and style.
Never heard of the "extend shoulder line" visual trick. Great advice!❤ thank you!
When you extend the shoulder line the rest of the body tends to look slimmer. I use this fashion trick when dressing a lot :)
All tips were helpful. But I like the most the unspoken one, the use of color to bring a touch of youthfulness and playfulness to the outfits and Martina. So very lovely 😍

I was most impressed by how the dress in Tip #6 changes by just modifying the neckline. It makes a huge difference. Great video, as always.
Great tips! I was really impressed by the importance of draping a top over a belt to create the illusion of a smaller waist.
😮 Geidre, you nailed it with an asymetrical outfit. Me, always struggling with an apple styling i my early 50s, I will certainly give it a go. Martina was stunning in an asymetrical red dress. Extended shoulders looks plausible as well.❤
Happy to hear you enjoyed this episode and thank you for your feedback! That red dress is so stunning on Martyna, totally agree with you!

I'm an apple and I like belts. What's crucial is what belt you pick and how you style it.
