Just printed your model in PETG-CF and PLA (for the cover) at 125% for a 1/8 scale. Really good option as a test motor. Works a treat, so far nothing exploded or melted. Might upgrade the bevel gears to brass tho. Cheers

Very nice build. It's hard to find an outboard motor prebuilt so this is a great option.

Awesome print. Can you put metal gears in. Wonder how long the plastic ones will last. I'm sure this took a good while to do.

A spot of vaseline petroleum jelly on the gears might make them last longer... it makes a great lubricant & unlike normal greases, it doesn't cake and go hard...

it seems like you resized the files in order to fit the gear to the 3mm shaft, or did you not? the diameter is 5mm in the printed gear.
You can adjust it by 55 percent, if I remember correctly it is 3 mm in diameter.

Было интересно. Вот только мало в этом смысла. Попробуй сделать корпус лодки, установить, сделать измерения тяги, нужно будет увеличить длину дейдвуда, сделать антикавитационную плиту. А так конечно полще сделать просто мотораму и установить на дно лодки. Сделай водомëт!! Будет круто и можно использовать.

Ещё рекомендую использовать подшипники от RC моделей.

Wires need to exit the shroud on the boat side, not rear of the cowling, otherwise spot on!
