The way he pinned the husband and in a sinister voice whispered "...save more when you bundle home and auto..." 😂😂😂 This was a great sketch all around! And the ending twist was icing on the cake!

Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell. They also wrote the Roach X sketch with Don Cheadle the other commenter is referring to. They have similar premises, but they are completely different and both are hilarious.
I hope this becomes a new SNL classic skit. Well acted, great premise, good twists. I also think the small touches of placing accurate captions from the commercial, sells it.
I honestly thought this sketch was gonna end with the father meeting the original Jake From State Farm, but meeting Doug from Liberty Mutual was even funnier then what I predicted.
I love how this evolved from a harmless State Farm commercial, to a horror thriller, and then to a Liberty Insurance attack ad. And the Limu Emu jingle was the cherry on top.
Satire needs context & some comedy hits notes on things people don’t know enough about in order to laugh with the writers; ie: your friend would have a different impersonation of you than your coworker. Commercial parodies are a great equalizer. This was produced so well, I agree- Slaps.

That bit was so brilliant. I especially loved it when the son started wearing a State Farm shirt. And at the end when Limu and Doug from Liberty Mutual showed up. That was awesome.
The video also never showed any protein being left over for him to make a sandwich with. So they left him a head of lettuce 🥬, an empty jar of mustard, and the two end pieces from a loaf of bread🍞lol
