I think it really comes down to Punkie and Ego getting more parts now that older veterans have retired. They’ve been great for a while, and now we’re getting to see more of them! I think Ego will go down as one of the SNL greats, if they can keep her. She’s movie-star beautiful. Wouldn’t be a surprise if she lands a lead in a romantic comedy and leaves the show after her contract ends.

Hate to be the party pooper, but he has a hard time acting natural while reading the cue cards. You can basically see him reading the lines for all parts. Gotta learn his cues and remember some lines. I wonder if you're watching the same clips I'm watching.
For anyone wondering about cut time sketches: When they do the sketches live sometimes they run overtime because the audience is laughing, or the actors say their lines slower than expected, the actors themselves are laughing in the sketches, or the monologue runs longer than expected, so that means that some sketches get bumped to the end of the show after it officially ends on tv and/or they put up one of the rehearsal versions on TH-cam.

Growing up in the church… this resonated with me. Church had a building fund since I was a child… I’m 43 and pretty sure no funds has gone towards the building or building anything for the church. Lol
That's heartbreaking. I grew up in the church and we paid the mortgage off. My childhood pastor proceeded to give generously to everyone. I hate to hear how some pastors take advantage and give the church a bad name.

In high school I got suckered into an event at a white (very very white) baptist church. I distinctly remember the pimply faced teen with thinning hair who shared with the group how he has these terrible headaches and he was sure it was satan trying to interfere with his pure thoughts. I was really kind of scared there.
@FighterCK that guy was not a steady churchgoer. It made me think twice about ever dating anyone who was Baptist, because the service and social lasted five hours, in the middle of the day. That meant you did nothing else on Sundays. On other Sundays, he took me fishing, and that was much more pleasurable. Our next-door neighbors when I was a kid had been Southern Baptist, and I used to play with their granddaughter when she visited. I knew I wouldn't be Southern Baptists when she told me they couldn't play cards, go to movies, Etc

Not my pastor. He's wealthy, he was wealthy before he became our pastor. He doesn't receive a salary and he blesses us. He spends money on the congregation. People have shared that he's given them money.

When he dispensed Thanksgiving meals from a high-end grocery store, why wouldn't I believe what is happening? When I was pursuing my master's degree I enrolled in a few managerial courses. Most of my classmates were pursuing their MBAs. The instructors spoke of them being wealthy and the students had a wealthy mindset. I pursue classes at two other houses of worship and the heads of the houses are well-educated.
