Dude, you may be able to hear this guy just fine in person. But when you are shifting yourself side to side, back and forth, the audio doesn't pick up what he is saying well.

This a neat idea, but they shouldn't put it all in the outboard. They should make it an all electric outboard and battery/generator inboard.
Why not? It's more user friendly and if the battery dies then you don't need to wait for it to charge using a generator. You can still be under way with the diesel engine.
Killer idea. I would definitely go for it.
Perfect for my 20 foot sailboat
put the diesel engine in the boat hull . then place a small battery bank in the engine with a more powerful motor
also place additional battery packs in the boat hull as well as well as fuel. then 1 powerful diesel with a sizable alternator can run 2 electric outboards.
OK now for me a simple fisherman ....oxe 125 with hybride pac on my pereboom cruisher 21feet and WHOAAAOOO.
Should be able to hold fish costs to under $5000/pound??
Hybrid diesel has been around for a long time. I don't understand why not just have an inboard. All the best boats are inboard.

Your diesel engine will on average last longer than the gas engine.
Yup and saves on fuel, NELSON people don't get how huge this is! And nobody is watching the video yet because youtube is showing to my kayak family! Hopefully it finds its audience soon
@@AliexFolgueira With your audience being what it is, the word will not get out about the engine setup. A 900 pound engine won't fit on a kayak, more than once.
These modern high oil pressure high fuel pressure turbo diesels have so much performance enhancements that they don’t last any longer than modern gasoline engines nowdays

Takes alot for Lithium Batteries elements to explode or catch 🔥.. but if it's protected sealed well.. no problem.. but salt water & if the battery elements were to become punctured/ damaged/ open to air from accident metal somehow infiltrates.. It's going to explode just like if you stabbed any type of cellphone 📱 📲 through the battery.. it's violent.

Man, this is for a BOAT! We don't worry about price! They want more for a 16' aluminum fishing boat with a 20hp outboard than the F150 pickup to haul it to the boat ramp!

Not to kill a point with facts, but here in Europe and Norway where we do have many EVs. Diesel cars burn more often than EVs (relative to the # of cars). Sorry. It would be a good point if it was true that the EVs are cathing fire. Because if they do catch fire its all hell.
