To not get carpal tunnel like me, when you're in your radio wheel, use the right trigger to select instead of A
Yes this! I had no idea, and definitely should be part of this video as I thought it was A and that is TERRIBLE, luckily someone figured out that it was the trigger as well and that's MUCH better.
Yeah once you figure that out it helps a lot. Especially when commanding Tames without Cryopods.

When looking throught the spyglass you can hit right trigger and bring up the tribe commands too.

Dude, thank you! Some of these were so hard to find anywhere. Side note, for me the chat is LB + Start(3 lines) button, and if you hold the back(2 squares) button and select chat mode, you can pick which chat you want to send a message in, ex. global, tribe, alliance and local. Cheers! :D
Lol I call it the "Map" button. (The 2 squares button.) In fact, I now refer to this button as Map for every game j play bc of ark lol.
On xbox controller u got ur start button (3 lines) & ur Map button (2 squares.) Lol.
But now im curious are the ark controls different sometimes for xbox players? Bc for me I have to hold my "map" button (2 squares) to bring up the wheel for changing into 3rd person.
But for some dam reason I can't select anything. In the last ark game I used the right thumb stick to select but now nothing happens. So I can't chose/toggle anything from it...

1 question, how do you get that nice sky and light? my clouds are always so dark and rich of contrast. but also very shiny especially when he sun rises and sets, thewhole island gets, yellow red or blue.. any ideas?

So does it really get rid of the inputs I put in if I close out also what’s the default fps for play ps5 I always get 30to40 or if I zoom in my character it goes to 20
6:25 You talking about the aim assist on and off but missed how to adjust the strength of the pull. The option is on the same page under left hand side 3rd down.
9:18 Did you cover tribe waypoints on the map? Through the menu map you can cursor over and I think its X (on xbox) and it will show like 5 different icons.

Everything i throw off my dino sticks to walls. I use to drop my metal off my dino and it would bounce off a wall and fall. Is there a way to make it that way again?

This would be great to know, even for pve, snagging your corpse bag when being chased naked and alone by raptors is no fun, other times it transfers my inventory to a corpse or tame when I want to take say, berries from a trike...

Would love to see a video on how to use the map with Controller, both the one in inventory and the one outside of it from the main player view. I am finding it very difficult to figure out with a gamepad. :(
Holding the back button on xbox will bring up the regular map just like in ase, while double tapping the back button will bring up the interactive map( the back button is the one with 2 squares)

On xbox how do you assign an item to hot bar? Find it kind of tricky tapping hot bar location then double tapping A on item. Just want to see if there quicker way

Try turning motion blur off worked for me

I know this was done a few months ago, but how do you hide your helmet? I’ve seen people say it’s in the emote section of the wheel, but every time I go over the emote thing, the wheel doesn’t change. Am I missing something?

@@bradmettler4566 it’s still in the emote section, you just have it hit RT (I’m on Xbox) to get to the actual emote wheel to hide your hat
I want to know about whistle commands. Can you still whistle Dino’s to a point without opening command wheel.
Yes, LB + Down on d-pad. If you point your crosshairs at a target it will move to attack whatever’s in that spot instead of just moving to that spot.
For thé aim assit u have an option for put it less stronger even if Ur aren't aiming
How do you clear them from the list if typed incorrectly??
All of this would be fantastic if the game would actually save when I tell it to. Every time I exit and come back in I'm right back to day 3.

Would like to have seen how to place permanent waypoints on the map. Like where my base is. Still haven't fig that one out
Is there anyway to create waypoints on the map like I’ve seen steam players do? When you pull up the map it doesn’t have those options on the bottom like Pc does

Use the map you access from your inventory, not the pop up one

Is there a way to disable to snapping for pinned recipes? Ive closed the menu so many times trying to clear those.
when you have any inventory open you can just bring the cursor over there and click on the little trash can icon with A

Can you use console commands on servers? Me & my friends joined a EU server so would we be able to do console commands?
Nvm just figured this out this morning answer is yes, yes you can, however I only left the server not the whole app and it didn’t take away the commands so I think you have to actually close the app then re open it not just the server (ps5)

Hey, I was wondering if maybe you can help me with an issue i am having. I have ark ascended and for some reason i can not give my dinos any commands, Like mate or wander or change their name. I can use whistle commands but i can not access the dinos options box. Is there something i am supposed to turn on in the settings?
I was looking for the same tip! I cant figure it out or find anything on google. For whatever reason I cant access anything on the dino wheel outside of inventory
Ok I figured it out, uae RT on the wheel option and you will be able to access that menu (i.e dino behaviour). I think its a bug.

Is there a way to upgrade your thatch structure to wood without destroying thatch and starting over?
Just place the wooden piece where the thatch is and it will replace it and give you back a few resources from the old piece

if your on a custom server it’s most likely 90% the server because I do not have this problem personally.

We call it the select button if you’re raised in 90s or before. All older consoles had a select button, and I believe xbox was the first to change it’s name! Love xbox, but how dare they mess with nostalgia.
The back button is O on playstation. Holding O just brings up my pet Whistle wheel.. Please for the love of god in plain english, which button is it. Back and select are two completely different buttons

Open inventory. there are clickable options above the inventory slots to change sorting options and transfer all. The left most option toggles tool tips. There used to be a quick toggle button but I haven't found it yet

Health bar? You mean the stats on the right side its probably to do with ui scale

Does anyone know why or is anyone else on console unable to recover your loot when killed in game? I am not able to recover anything when I die. I still get a death marker but when I fight my way back to my characters body I am not able to interact with it to get my inventory back. Is it just a bug? I play on series X

I had tried that, I can’t even harvest my body. I’m just not sure why. I’ve looked through the settings a few times to see if When I changed some things to customize my game I changed something that could have disabled it? I haven’t found anything though.
@@matthewjohnson6167 I think there is a bug where it shows things where you died rather than where your body or bag actually is. Theris often seem to whack your body far away from where it killed you which makes finding them extremely difficult. Wish there was an option to turn on death beams as well as these markers. There are mods though.
Definitely a bug, some dinos that I’ve killed can’t be harvested as well… sometimes you can try different angles and that works or I find if you punch it, that can work too..
I noticed if you are playing in 3rd person it's harder to get in your body did you try first person

I found out how, it’s bc you used the paintbrush, you have to get the painting menu and push left stick on it and boom it works, idk why it still made me do that even I’ve deleted worlds trying to get rid of it😂

It might just be me but I really don't like the UI overhaul. Especially having to drag and drop items into your hot bar. 🤷 I thought they had it almost perfect. Then they redid it. 😔

What happens with the command T.maxfps 60?
It caps the max frame rate at 60. Which doesn't really do much as it rarely goes above that anyway

Destroy foliage 5000 0, careful with big numbers it lags a bunch but its great for looking for bases
That one didn't seem to work on Xbox, seems like it's only the Steam version. At least I never got it working on Xbox. :(

@@johnathanmanuel780Maybe I mistyped it, I'll have to try it again. Oh and it may have been a different one, I was trying to use the one that gets rid of resources as well, like rocks and trees. Maybe that was what I was thinking of.
@@mleii1169 this one gets rid of the rocks, trees and the grass, in area try increasing the number but becareful a big number will lag the game, i had issues getting it to work asswell

Is it just me or am I the only one that rather have the Evolved controls and gameplay then Ascended we have now on the ps5? Cuz I can't enjoy the game on ascended compared to Evolved.

I don't think it's just you. I don't see the reason why they needed to change anything UI wise in the first place. It worked damn near perfect in the last game and it was controls. We all recognized. 🤷
