Thanks. Had one of these for about 2 years, and this is definitely a corner of the board I’ve not touched yet. I’ve done some goofing around after work with BeatMaker on my iPad driving this, but it would be nice to just use the onboard stuff without the extra cabling.
I just bought this board... can you make a loop using the drum sounds on the phrase pad by itself without pulling up specific kits using the pattern sequencer?
I just purchased one of these. I use a lot of instruments in my drum tracks. One of the things that greatly disappointed me was that I end up using 7 or all 8 pads just for drums!
Love your videos, thanks for this one. QUESTION; When I record, some of the sounds change and don't sound like when you played them while you recorded (example; Gt:078 LowBass)?! By the way if you hold shift in the sequencer and then erase you don't need to hold the button down till the end. I watched most of your videos, you have a new subscriber, thank you for your work this video really grooved LOL. YOU ROCK, BACK IN THE 90'is pump am the JAAAAM pump IT UP :P
You are right about that shift button! :) Some FX are lost in performances, I guess it taxes the JUNO-DS's engine. Most music workstations do that and it gets really annoying!!! Especially when you want a patch to sound the same in song / pattern mode as it does in patch mode. Really frustrating!! Thank you for subscribing my friend!!! :)
Can the juno ds88 send separate midi channels when splitting the keyboard? also is it possible to record the pad buttons turning on and off in order to create a song?
You can record multiple drum parts (Kick, Snare, HiHats, Etc) on ONE part (of the 8 pattern parts) giving you 7 parts left. But you can't make a whole pattern of drums using all 8 parts & then use that with other patterns. I just use the individual parts for drums so I have the "MC groovebox feel" muting parts on & off for performances :) I hope that helps! :)

I buy this board in the begining of 2018 :-)

I totally understand!! I wish it had 16 pads / parts to use in the sequencer! We both can use more room for the beats! :)
Hey, I'm trying to put a beat I made from my Juno-DS and put it in Logic but not sure how to do it, you got some advice?
Go analog one track at a time.....or try midi sync...dump
I wish my Roland 06 had that erase button.
Cool vid
Thank you!!!!!
Can we use this juno keyboard as midi on mac

Rick finally got a outburst channel
Hi Rik. do you know how I can decrease the volume of the rhythm patterns presets? they are to loud comparing with the piano sound. thanks ;)
Does this board have the Chord Memory function or something similar like the other Juno keyboards?
This is Tim from music man
Hey Rick did you get a hold of the new yamaha modx6 yet?

Hi Rik! Can you please tell me if the Juno ds has a step sequencer as well? Thanks!
No
Can you save a multi-part pattern to a single Pad?
Hi, could you layer drums, snare, high hat into 1 bank? Of (1-8) leaving you more pattern space?

SynthgodXXX i think i got the idea, 1-4 can be drums 5-8 can be keys. Right?
I wish this board had 10 tracks not 8
So how do you extend the beat length to make it into a 3 or 4 minute song?
You have to manually chain patterns together by hand or "on the fly" & record it, good for live remixes though!!!
External stereo...tracks....
Is The TR-808 Built in The Juno-DS or a Separate Machine
All sounds are coming from inside the Roland Juno-DS, but I think a Roland Boutique TR-08 would make a match! :)
Can you store the created patterns?
Yes
eating Chinese take out to this
Great tutorial!!!
I wouldn't mind sharing a jail cell with this guy, if he brings his Juno with him.
Not good your keyboard floating movement
