Here is a list of difficult moments, hard moments, trying moments, challenging moments, that I experienced while completing the 2021 scooter cannonball run as a rookie rider.
1. Tedious and time consuming bike maintenance.
2. Riding alone.
3. Boring straight roads for hours.
4. Riding in rain/thunder/lightning storms.
5. Fast pacing of the event.
6. Getting lost.
7. Bike not starting after all the prep to get to the starting line
8. Getting in a crash/accident.
Bonus:
8. Physical discomfort sitting on a scooter for 10-12 hours a day for 10 days

Thanks for information - I've been riding motorcycles for a long time but I am new to scooters and doing the Canonball is intriguing. I am looking at doing this on a Aprilia Sport City 250cc, and I think you've got some great information here. Also, I watched the Fly 150 oil change and spark plug replacement - wow that spark plug is in a horrible location, that's a good word to look for easy access for maintenance.

Did I hear only 300cc and below for SCB ?
Seems arbitrary.
Why not caregories like
50cc
150cc
300cc
500cc
Perhaps limit to single cylinder ?
That way everyone has comparable expectations.
Maybe longer limits for smaller Scoots ?

The Scooter Cannonball is on my bucket list, but it does sound really hard. Maybe once I replace my 2011 Honda PCX with something with some less wear on it.

Good ride even though all the stress in the crap anything you make it through you get experience from so if you ever do it again you will be more prepared for in the future cuz you already been through it

What are approximate shipping cost for your bike. and hotel per night cost?

hotels ran around 80-150 a night, but split it among a few people. scooter shipping was between 600 and 800...I forget.
