Got hooked on watching your brothers videos, but appreciate now watching your view of the farm. Love seeing you guys promoting the dairy industry in such a positive light. All to often all anyone sees is what PETA and those type of organizations want you to see. It shows in how clean and organized the farm is that you truely love your animals. Keep up the good work. Helps a lot, and still hard to imagine the milking continually occurs, and the extra help in the parlor or cleanup helps keep the day moving forward. Great Family Farm with LOADS of expansion potential, and/or experience that could help manage other dairies (if you're interested or opportunity arises in the future, or sidetracked into accepting partnerships).
I remember mom and dad taking us kids to the farm every Sunday to pick up milk for the week, did not like the smell but once we got back home we had ice cream. The they started ordering from the milk truck and no more rides to the farm.

Not all cow with big udders produce large volumes of milk! It's an udder conformation fault in the suspensory ligament ! A weak median suspensory ligament will have udders sag and almost touch the floor!

I admire your compassion and humanitarian treatment of animals. Also, is there any research on the hypothesis that compassion will produce more milk from cows?
From my perspective, kind treatment of animals keeps them calm. A calm animal will always be more willing to work with you, and a calm animal is happy. Happy cows produce more milk!
Maybe you have already done this but l would be interested to know the timeline on a milking. How many cows get milked while the other person is cleaning the the barn and how many get milked before you have to go back to do the 2nd pack. Always been curious.
You said that you were waiting for the cow's to come in to be milked. how do you get them in the barn and what gives them the incentive just to stand there to be milked if they're not being fed or anything because they look like they want to come in the barn.

Would you say that the cows are trained to get into the milker or is it just habit? Do you ever get kicked? Of course i have to ask if you get poop or pee on you? Do you breed for a good udder, a big milk producer?
