Kramer is one of the greatest characters in television history without question. Millions of laughs continue to this very day (Comedy Central Seinfeld reruns are always a great option lol). Very well done Michael!
Yes, I think he’s sincere. Unfortunately, some people in the heat of an argument, when they’re really angry, will say things they don’t believe (i.e., something racist) just to push the other person’s buttons. It’s really being out of control and feeling so angry and hateful you say things you truly regret and don’t necessarily even believe to be true. He ruined his career that way, IMO.
People, everyone make mistakes. He has apologized and had to live with his mistake. Hopefully He has forgiven himself. I see his error in 2006 as a sign that a single weak moment can change your life forever. Loved his performances. God bless Michael. Enjoyed his performances, including Kramer ✊🏽🫶🏽
Let's put your love for him aside for a moment and consider this. We indeed all make mistakes, and deserve forgiveness - after apologizing and taking responsibility for our action (or words). But this was no mistake. This was a revelation. You nor I could make such a "mistake". Why? Because of our intrinsic belief system. This man revealed his racist heart to the world - and there is no forgiveness for that, at least not without proving (through deeds) that he's doesn't hate black people. He's still in debt.
@@mingmong007 Dude the guy removed himself from show business for 18 years. He basically terminated his own career. It goes to show that it's not worth trying to earn the forgiveness of random strangers on the Internet.

In early Kramer episodes his eccentricity was subtle, which may be an oxymoron. But that’s Kramer. Great development of a character and great chemistry among the cast to all have a hand in creating all the traits of all the characters.
Kudos to Eisen who, unlike the yentas on The View, didn't feel the need to drag up Richards' incident from 20 years ago for which he self-imposed a heavy price.
To this day if i hear the Bonanza theme i literally can't stop myself from screaming " dun dun dun dun dun DUN DUN DUN!" exactly the same way he did as Stanley Spadowski in UHF.
There should have been a spin-off of Seinfeld. Maybe George and Kramer becoming neighbors or room mates. I’ve no doubt any spin-off could’ve lasted at least 3 seasons.

With a quiet guest, you have to draw him out by asking simple questions like what was your favorite part of your character and why, etc. Rich Eisen doesn’t have that skill. He talks at them, not to them like Dick Cavett once did. You have to make your guests comfortable enough to open up.

A true character actor. Michael Richard’s is not playing a “version” of himself. Genius, giddy up!!

I hope so too. He realized he made a HUGE MISTAKE and he shows genuine contrition in his interviews.
