    Edit(10/16/2021): Some viewers have said there's a hyper-armor state on Destructive Stork's 2nd Tap (Prevents you from being KB'd), and Rampaging Harrier is actually the only one with an iFrame at the start of the second tap! I'll update this pinned comment as we find out more as a community! Also some theorycrafting for DPS rotations for SB in a comment below says to WA inbetween PA hits for max DPS which is very interesting, so make sure you try it out!
    Hope you're all having a great day today and having fun with the newest addition to the game! Also whoever's got some good Jet Boot camos, comment them down below cause I look hella dumb with mine T_T.

      "D-saber or T-Dagger with S-Blades" , "Katana or T-Daggers With J-Boots"

      I'm thinking about making a set of those too once I get my evolcoat drops, especially since I'm sitting on my weekly N-Meseta cause my fashion is like 50k an item (I play a dude). Also quick question since you've made the multi-wep already, do the photon blades stay embedded in your target when you switch to JB?

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For the damage calculations on multi-weps, your mainclass weapon will always receive the +10% potency. So if you do Sword(Main)+SB(Multi) but you play BoFo, the SB will still receive the 10% potency even though it's not the main weapon. This means on SB+JB you'll receive the +10% pot on both but augments I believe only apply to the weapon type (This means you'll need TEC+MEL augments).

    Jet boots are the S-tier Brawl Metaknight weapon in this game. Jet intensity alone is fucking ridiculous (highest recorded for me being 13.9k damage on downed Vera), AND it has infinite counters on the weapon action with no end lag.

      @sorakey4005 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah. Jet boots is too good. It's like fighter with an extra burst, elemental down, access to technique and a down debuff for bosses. The only thing JB lack is abit of aoe damage, which can be coping with technique or multi with a talis (also get some PP recover from talis)
      This set up is so so convenient. Bo (JB)/Fo (Talis) is like making for each other, their skill trê compliment each other every single skill point. Then both have vialto series, and does tech damage which make it cheap for f2p to build and multi weapon.
      About pros: 1 does long range and the other short range, 1 has alot of PP recover from WA and the other has alot of mobility and self defend from WA 1 does a 3nd biggest aoe skill in the game, the other has massive burst and single target dps .
      So with Bo/Fo, JB/talis set up, u almost have everything without any draw back or weakness with a ridiculously cheap price. Also PP is not a problem since JB does not has PP issue, so no need for PP augment since force passive is good enough

    You can just multi-weapon the soaring blades with a defensive-oriented weapon action sub (e.g, anything that gives a guard or ). Gap-closing is not a problem for soaring at all, besides having a ranged dps burst of 15 seconds every minute, so you are not limited to adding wired lances like everyone else.

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yup! I ended up slapping my SB onto my Sword for a multi wep to save on costs, and hooo boi it *actually works really well* . For Nex's triple laser move, you can just hold down block vs trying to step dodge all 3 hits. And you're right the gap-closing on soaring blade is not a problem with it, which makes it one of my favorite melees to use at the moment. That + the PP efficiency on SB is pretty ridiculous as well once you get 1 photon blade into your target. Roaring Phesant I would like if the first portion stops when it hits the target since that slash at the end does do pretty decent damage, but I'll make do with hitting the PA twice once I reach my destination to beyblade on the spot. Overall it feels like I have more freedom on my multi-weapon choices for SB compared to other melees where like you said, you have to add a WL. Also on top of this, destructive stork also moves you more vertical when you connect with a mob, so this makes petas climbing really easy when he goes full angel mode.

      @@haeven1622 Sadly "Resta Field - Techter" is restricted to main class only so it won't form an AoE healing field. Shifta & Deband are also locked to Techter so the major skills you'll be receiving are:

    So I'm not the only one that think SB is very lacking right now, good to know.
    And yeah I've been in love with JB right now, and one thing that I realize after playing JB for a while now is if you chain unhold Spinning Gust + unhold Violent Gale the blot build up is much quicker, but I'm still not sure. And I also notice that during the beginning of Jet Intensity animation there actually an i-frame too because I don't get hit when doing it, need confirmation tho. And I personally think that it is better to focus on one weapon rather SB or JB because you will save a lot of skill point that way and you will also perform better.

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting, I've noticed at the start of Jet Intensity it's like a 50/50 if I get hit so I couldn't tell if it was an iFrame or my character's model just evading the attack (since we move left/right). Also chaining unhold Spinning+Violent gale I have to test out cause that sounds amazing if it builds up blot to 5x really fast. It'd probably be more DPS too since, if you're full TEC, the blot explosion would hit like a truck. Also for focusing on one or the other weapon, I 100% agree. In the current state of the game doing a hybrid build like Base PSO2 isn't as powerful in NGS *yet* . As we get more augments in the game, hybrid builds will start emerging more frequently, but at the current state it's definitely better to just focus on one attack type. I ran into the same issue with Braver using Bow+Katana and ended up just going all in on Bow OR Katana with a multi-wep of their respective damage type.

    • @a.a.r4054
      @a.a.r4054 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@everydere Yeah at first I also thought whether because it is my character is already out of the way but then when I fight Vet Bujin and at the moment he about to hit me but I mistakenly hold the normal attack and begin the Jet Intensity animation I don't get any damage. And yesterday I already testing the chain again and apparently chaining hold Spinning Gust + hold Violent Gale can get you instant full stack of blot, so this is the better rotation imo. But the only thing I feel lack about JB is that we didn't get vertical targeting for some Tech like Barta. Hope they will buff or fix it.

  • @3rdemperor840
    @3rdemperor840 3 ปีที่แล้ว +26

    I agree, the SB seems a bit underwhelming. The WA could be buffed like maybe the block skill of etoile on base pso2 since they gave its counter on DS. It makes sense since the animation of WA is already like surrounding you for defense

      Yeah I 100% thought the WA was going to active similar to Etoile (Activate for a short parry/guard point), was pleasantly surprised it had none of that and I 100% thought it was a glitch LOL. Since Fanatic Blade also doesn't give you a parry//guard point when you use it too, this means you can be hit during fanatic blade which cripples your DPS

    • @enviinv
      @enviinv 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      So far melee classes releases kinda getting worse and worse in terms of effective usage. Hunter sword is probably perfect melee, having counter and parry not to mention block as well. Hunter dps is nut if you fighting with bosses that hits a lot. Same as fighter on dagger have really reliable abilities as well as WA that tp you to enemy despite its dmg may be undeewhelming a bit. But it isnt so bad at all same with knuckles... But soaring blade and katana is questionable. It feels they were made to be used on ground due to katana movesment and counter from soaring blade is only via evade counter.

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@enviinv Yeah 100% Katana's setup even when combined with a WL pretty much leaves you immobile in NGS to receive your max DPS which feeels pretty bad. Soaring Blades, I'm not really too sure why they didn't put in SB Etoile's parry or the general from using a photon blade. It feels like a huge oversight especially since every melee has some form of counter outside of step dodging. Hoping December addresses the SB issue + adds vertical/horizontal movement gap closers to speed up the feeling of melee (Kinda like PSO2's Katana/Luster/Hero).

  • @adrianotrancoso9793

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree! It's very satisfying to play since it's pretty much master the PAs, WA and stepdodge movement + your s. There's nothing else to really keep up with outside of tapping Fanatic Blade every 60s, so it's realllly satisfying to play once you get it down (and super easy too!). There is a Photon Blade change coming in which might be in the game ATM, but it's to address the WA completely breaking the game by being the top DPS by throwing it out then doing a normal attack (This was HUGE on TD/SB where you do WA->Pirouette).

    Thanks for the tutorial to confirm my feeling of "grounded blades"! I hope either the new PAs or other patches help return the feel of Soaring Blades from base PSO2.
    Back in base PSO2, when I played Bouncer soaring blades, my character was zipping around all over the place (because I based off Soaring Blades Tackle). In NGS, since the alternate forms of the PAs lock you in place, honestly it feels more like a worse version of the hunter's sword.
    Aside: If you want to break the chapter 1 story, play Bouncer with both weapons: the bosses will spend well over half the battle downed!

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Continuing into the Retem Update, it's still grounded blades T_T BUT we did get the Etoile style parry which makes it's QoL so much better. I'm kinda hoping within 2022 SEGA starts implementing slowly more PAs to start returning the weapons back to their base PSO2 style of gameplay. Gunner is a great example of this where TMGs where heavily grounded gameplay, until Retem came out which gives them back their aerial gameplay. Also I didn't even think about how Bo's downed increases would affect the CH1 story boss, that sounds hillarious LOL.

  • @frustratedsquirrel
    @frustratedsquirrel 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Hey a quick correction: Rampaging Harrier's second activation is the only one with i-frames, and it's a decent window too. The other two PA's don't have any s at all. Spent a while testing it.
    Soaring blades as a backup weapon when using Braver sub or as a multiweapon choice is interesting. It can function somewhat like a physical Talis weapon action, allowing ranged PP gain at a distance for weapons that usually wouldn't be able to do this, like sword or knuckles.

      Ohhhhhhhhhh thank you! I'll update the top pinned comment! I spent some time trying to figure out if destructive stork had it as well, but it might just be your character's hitbox being moved vertical vs being an actual . I did see some comments mention Destructive Stork's second half having some hyper armor (prevents you from being interrupted), and can confirm it has that to a certain degree.
      Also I like that combination idea for BoBr. I've thought about combining Katana+SB to see how it'd play out, and my current SB is on a Sword for leveling purposes (Sword is already fully affixed). Can confirm the Sword+SB WA is actually pretty sick on HuBo and is probably one of my favorite combinations right now. It's a little awkward with the setup I use, but I put the SB WA on my subpalette then my quick use button is how i activate the WA in between PA hits. A comment somewhere pointed out some theory crafting they were doing where if you do the WA inbetween PAs it actually increases the DPS of SB to be some of the highest in the game.

    Maining hunter and using the skill "heavy hunter" can let you use the kick flurry of jet boots to great effect. You can get if off 3 times while under heavy hunters protection. Since it maxes the jet boot active (that can be used while bouncer is subclass) on the final hit, you can get two uses of it before your heavy hunter runs out.
    The hunters durability in general pairs well with sloppy aggressive players like me, who just want to kick stuff until its dead.

    SB was one of my favorite weapons in base Pso2. So I was super happy when they were added. 5 minutes into playing them and realizing they had NO counter other than side stepping, I switched back to hunter and called it a day. The casting length of SB PA's with NO counter/block/ on the weapon action...is just super troll. :/

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeahhh going from base PSO2 SB for Bouncer or Etoile then going to NGS SB is a night and day difference. I was expecting something similar to etoile's weapon action for SB, or atleast some s when you use the WA. But instead you can be completely interrupted by damage when you use the WA and on top of that, Fanatic Blade doesn't give you hyper armor either sooo if you get hit during Fanatic you lose DPS. I'm hoping December changes it to be more in line with how Bo/Et's version of it played out, cause atm you really do have to side step everything for your most reliable dodge/counter.

    With JB, my rotation is:
    Spinning Gust[Hold]->Violent Gale[Hold]->Fierce Wave[Hold]->Spinning Gust[Hold]
    Sometimes I'll start with Violent Gale to reposition around an enemy if I'm already close, but I've found the above rotation to be extremely effective. You could of course just go back and fourth between Spinning Gust and Violent Gale. Definitely a huge fan of holding down the basic attack. That final hit is nutty and oh so satisfying. Only really useful on downed/stationary enemies.
    The spacing with JB is just so good, the PAs do all the work for you.
    I personally don't put any points into the gap close skill (the one where you move towards a target shortly after casting). Found the delay after the cast to be too long to be useful on anything but a sitting target and it doesn't really take you very far IMO. Violent Gale and Spinning Gust work well enough for me to reposition/gap close.
    I don't find myself ever using the blots/clads. Sometimes during PSE bursts I'll spam an AOE technique, but other than casting one to change my weapon element, I'm all PAs with the JB.
    The only thing that disappointed me with JB Bouncer was the photon blast. It's kinda meh.

    As insane as it is, My main uses Soaring blade with a katana as a Multi-weapon as I find the combo great for Mob Control, channeling K-X's inner Ronanoro Zolo. Different way to counter enemies with Katana counters for quick attacks, SB's dodging-counters for a stronger counter attack, charging in with katana strikes when a boss is down, and with a skill that boosts Katana combat it's like it was meant to be.
    Back in PSO2C, the class combo was good but the DEX status were broken due to the MAG under-scrolling and the Phantom Class was introduced to balance the two classes after the fix. Thankfully, the Multi-weapons as well as the revamped multi-class combat made the class combo better for NGS.

    I understand they were gonna change it, I'm still too attached to how jet boots work in base PSO2. Zooming around everywhere, and twirling kicks in between every attack with the weapon action made it where I could pretty much be as fast as I want to be and never stop attacking. As for soaring blades, I wish you could shoot the weapon action darts during your other attacks, at least during the cooldown ability. Bouncer was my main in base PSO2, but I think I might still be having more fun with ranger for NGS, unless I can multiweapon them together in a practical way. Also, I think bouncer is the first class that needs melee AND tech focus for stats/augments? Also, I recommend putting Zondeel on your main palette for jet boots so you can place it every so often for extra stacked electric damage. I'm wondering how well jet boots multiweapon with twin machine guns would work...

JB you have to manage Jetsweep Jolt, Clad+Blot, 3 techs on your subpalette + your Photon Blast, vs SB where your PAs are pretty much all you use and then you get fanatic blade + PB. • @19162205
      @19162205 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Depends on your sub class. I’ve found that fighter/fist is a good one for SB. It gives you the weave weapon action which allows you to stay in the enemies face. While mitigating the amount of damage you take. Plus you get downed enemy damage boost!
      The next I’d recommend is hunter/wired lance for the elevation changes in boss fights and even more AOE abilities. Making you a great CC during the defense mission. Also hunter skill tree gives you a defense boost which you’ll need to be a decent CC’er. Wired lance weapon action is the main focus with this one. Multiweaponing a sword is fun as well and you’ll get the 360• weapon action parry. But I wouldn’t recommend it because there is a heavy delay if you’ve already used a SB PA.
      One more that I tried is Gunner/twin machine guns. It’s really fun and with the TMG you will be able to make the soaring blades actually SOAR lol. Since you’ll be in the air most of the time with TMG. This also helps the TMG by giving you better gap closers with SB PA’s. So you can always stay within critical range to maximize TMG damage. You’ll also have really good CC abilities with this class/weapon combination.
      I hope this gave you some ideas!!

    I went wholly into SBs because of how underpowered they were in base (until Luster sub became available anyway), expecting Sega to have learned from their mistakes and correcting them for NGS. I had to multiweapon into Twin Daggers for their WA just to make up *part* of the shortcoming (you still can't interrupt PAs well even with TD WA). If everything is absolutely *perfect*, SBs do really solid damage, but that isn't gonna happen. The one real thing that makes them worth using at all is the Photon Blade Fever analogue, which is the best part breaker in the game now...it is ridiculously easy to expose lesser boss weakpoints with the skill. The 60 second cooldown is also pretty generous given how good the skill is...but they really just need to give SBs the Etoile non-interruption parry...no counter attack necessary...just a few s and 2 photon blades, on the same cooldown as now, which also doubles your available guard frames during PBF (or whatever it's called now...I keep forgetting).

    • @everydere

      1000% Agreed the Etoile SB WA style of parries would be a MASSIVE game changer for SB. It's actually what I was expecting the class to have from the teasers, but was surprised when it didn't act like it. What surprised me too is the WA is just throwing out photon blades without anything else on top of it vs Bouncer where you get an on blade throw. Honestly I'd LOVE being able to WA during PAs, toss 2 blades and have it be a guard point.

    • @everydere

Techter's probably one of the most unique main classes since it pairs REALLY well with every subclass from Hunter to Bouncer. Shifta & Deband also make up for the 10% potency loss you'll have from using JB on Te vs Bo (and this potency loss isn't too bad at all TBH). Overall I highly recommend TeBo + with the awake aile changes from a couple patches ago, you should be able to build PBs ridiculously fast especially with an Evolcoat series JB! Hope that helps answer your question!

  • @tyrfang

    SB does need some sort of defense added in and I don't know how they're gonna do that right now. I'd have the designed the weapon differently and I can describe on the comments upon request.
    So far I realized that for maximum damage and PP recovery as well as air mobility, using WA before just basically any action by tapping both buttons at the same time but as simultaneously as possible will optimize your DPS. It has a 1 second cooldown and you can hold the WA button to make it work. You can even do it after step dodging and before countering. With Fanatic Blade active, you can do your first normal attack into WA repeatedly to add to the damage by tapping the normal attack button every 0,5 seconds. I feel mastering this unique and strange WA will be instrumental for sustained DPS because the numbers indicate SB is way up there in terms of DPS.
    For SB I think TD and JB are the best MW options. They both give you a "Drive" type of skill, making you have great gap closers. Their WA counters are both great AND gap close, and they each have their individual benefits.
    * Note that for Jet and Axel Drive to work you'll need to have TD or JB's specific normal attack assigned to your palettes. It won't work off SB's normal.
    For TD:
    - You can spec purely into melee while having a weapon that will give you superior mobility and defense.
    - You can do the same tech I said with Fanatic Blade, just instead of a Normal Attack you time Pirouette Ripper with every WA release. The DPS is about 650+, it's insane.
    * Note that for this to work you'll also need to have SB's specific WA added to your palette since you'll have TD out, but you can use SB's WA without changing weapons back and forth.
    For JB:
    - It will require you to spec hybrid damage if you want to make full use of both weapons but you also get access to techs for long-range mobbing and Farming with Zonde. Otherwise just spec into melee and keep JB as utility with minimal damage.
    - You can contribute towards Physical and Elemental downs and amplifiers in equal measure. You may even be able to single-handedly keep up both debuffs on a UQ for your party.
    - You get access to JB's broken WA counter which fixes SB's defense problem for the most part, and Jet Intensity when needed.
    - Both weapons will have the +10% Main Class damage bonus.

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a very very interesting breakdown thank you so much for this! I was in a friend's stream last night and we were talking about SB, and he mentioned about people trying out a tap WA method which I was excited to see if someone ran the numbers on. It does seem like the playstyle would mimic a little bit of early Episode 3 Bo back in JP where we did normals+WA repeatedly so this is very interesting. Also I 100% agree on TD+JB for the movement options, I've decided on going BoFi/FiBo with a SB+TD setup once I get my drops and it is absolutely bonkers especially when combined with the SB WA like you said. I'm most likely going to try out a full TEC spec'd JB setup as well in the future to see how that works out.
      Also I'd love to hear how you would design SB! I was thinking for me, I'd have the WA act like DB Etoile in base PSO2 except it just shoots a photon blade + parries. So you'd be able to WA during any point of your PA to parry a hit, but on a successful parry during a PA, it would shoot out 4 Photon blades instead of 2 (just like fanatic blade).

    • @tyrfang
      @tyrfang 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@everydere Turns out Roaring Pheasant isn't parsing very well in the DPS department and I think it could be made to cover more distance, or be made into a new PA I will suggest underneath.
      To start it off on the actual changes, one thing I've been learning in game design is, if you have to constantly push a button to do a thing that is not a primary gameplay interaction (such as basic attacking), then you should find a way to make it automatic or passive. And with this I am, of course, talking about the Photon Blade throwing. So the changes would be:
      - Photon Blades are thrown regularly, passively, at your target, as something you get off the skill tree at a 1sec Cooldown whenever you attack or defend or are otherwise acting in combat such as step countering.
      - Step Counter does not lose altitude, hitbox extended upwards somewhat (so you can hit things like Varas when it storms).
      - For every Photon Blade attached at the enemy, if you hit them with your 3rd normal attack, they detonate like mini Volkraptors for minor damage and restore 1 to 2 PP.
      - WA becomes a Sword-esque parry counter. Standard, slow, powerful hit with enough iFrames to pull it off repeatedly.
      - Fanatic Blade is now a passive skill in the skill tree and is activated by holding down the WA button, with the exact same functionality as it is now save for the fact that the Photon Blade throwing is passive.
      So I get that they may have wanted SB to be a bit more grounded and that's fine. Most of SB's aerial problems could be fixed by just changing the Step Counter. The new PA that would substitute Roaring Pheasant would be:
      Justice Wing (A fusion of Justice Crow and Dash Wing from PSO2 Base)
      - You draw a shield with your blades for about 1 second, blocking attacks in front of you. If you let it rock, the skill will fire the shield as a big projectile that deals a lot of damage. You can reactivate the ability before the projectile is fired to fly at high speed invisibly to your target (invulnerable) with vertical tracking if you have anything targeted or free flight by not having a target. Holding space during flight makes it so you rise and holding WA makes it so you descend. You fly ahead for about 1 second before you slash in front of you against anyone in your way.
      With this you'd fix the defense problems with the weapon, you'd make it less awkward to use by not having to press WA all the time, you give the WA two situational functions, and you also make Soaring Blades truly Soaring.

    • @tyrfang
      @tyrfang 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tyrfang I agree 100% with those Photon Blade changes. It's pretty much how I would hope SB photon blades would be implemented knowing Bo was coming to NGS especially with the passive throws of them. Step Countering not losing attitude is very interesting, and I never really thought about changing that. It would solve A LOT of melee problems too if it was extended to the other melee weapons as well. Changing the WA to a Sword Counter when tapped and fanatic blade when held sounds very innovative since you'd trade the counter for pure fanatic blade DPS, which also gives you a way to dish out some damage as you chase bosses who love to jump to the other side of the map.
      Also your PA concept of Justice Wing would be SICK, a reactive shield + a gap closer when 2x tapped to soar (since it is soaring blades) would open up so many possibilities that I'd love for NGS SB to have. It's also a design from base PSO2 I miss, cause I believe it was late Episode 4 PSO2JP? Where every class started to get some sort of PA that covers distance+vertical movement as bosses/mobs got bigger and bigger. I'm hoping in December's update we get some form of your suggestions cause these really do work for making it less awkward + fixes a lot of the issues of SB currently.

      So I've been playing exclusively SB to not look dumb with my lack of JB camos (although I've now fixed this), and here's some things that'll really help you out in your SB adventures.
      1. Bind step dodge to an easy button to access (this is E for me), this way you're not double tapping movement keys to dodge.
      2. A comment says there's some theorycrafting going on where *pressing the weapon action BEFORE every PA press is actually a massive DPS gain* and Under fanatic blade, you would do Normal Atk -> WA -> normal Atk WA for more damage, these calculations should come out relatively soon.
      3. Multiweapon your SB to ANY other melee weapon you like or JB if you want to hybrid it. I've settled on BoFi with a SB+TD that I'm working on so I get all the benefits of TD, while also being able to use SB anytime I want. Another option I've found which works hillariously is my current leveling weapon of Sword+SB which gives me access to sword's block for things like Nex's triple laser move.
      4. Another comment says Destructive Stork is actually hyper armor (can't be kb'd) on the second PA press, not an iFrame. To follow up another comment said that Rampaging Harrier's second PA press is actually the only iFrame. These are still up for testing, but I can confirm Rampaging Harrier (x2) is very very good for fights where you need to dodge repeatedly like Bujin.
      5. You CAN be knocked out of Fanatic Blade as you throw swords, so make sure you're able to keep machine gunning them and dodge attacks.
      6. Roaring Pheasant DOES phase through enemies however you can press it again at ANY point to stop right on the target, this is great for super long gap closing, but in a boss fight generally Destructive Stork + Rampaging Harrier will be your best friends.
      7. SBs are actually pretty balanced weapons in terms of what they can do (1v1/AoE), so you're not really crippling yourself using them vs jet boots, it just takes some time to learn.
      8. If you find yourself dying, try out 1x Vialto+2xGeant for your armor instead of 3x Geant Units. This will make you sliiightly more tanky than usual which is enough to live.
      9. Try out a lot of subclass combinations to see which one fits you the best. I tried out BoHu and it worked pretty nice for a tanky SB, and HuBo with the WA trick up above is actually pretty sick damage on Sword+SB. I ended up settling on BoFi for SB+TD and also allows me to reverse it to TD+SB as well if i play FiBo. Not much is locked to the Bo main class outside of downs.
      Edit: #10 = 1v1 that Bujin fight to figure out what you can and can't get away with. Bujin is faster than everything in the game and knowing when you can/can't hit vs Bujin makes the rest of the game super easy
      Hope that helps you out in your SB adventures! So far I'm having a blast just using purely SB!

    What do you think about using jet boots bouncer and fighter as class and subclass?
    I am new in the game and I'm in love with both classes, but I don't know if it's viable using them together.

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That combination is 100% viable and one of the best combos considering Bouncer causes downs ridiculously fast + You'll have access to elemental downs on Jet Boots. Bouncer in general is super PP efficient (this means you won't have any PP issues), so running something like BoFi would mean you'll need Clad+Blot on the Bouncer tree to get their effects. So for your skill tree setup, if you ignore SBs and just focus purely on Jet Boots, you can reallocate all the SB points and get some more damage off it.
      On Fighter, if you have skill tree reset passes and you're 100% certain on one of the weapons you're going to use. You can spec purely in that one weapon and max out Defeat Advantage. I did this with Twin Daggers since I know I won't be playing too much Knuckles+Double Sabers. BUT! I would only do this if you're 1000% certain since Skill Tree Reset Passes are pretty rare. If you're uncertain if you'll play the other weapons, you can lower the amount of SP in defeat advantage just to have access to all 3 Fi weps down the line. Next Skill Tree Reset Pass should be awarded around December's update which will increase the level cap + add more class skills. Hope that helps you out!

    I prefer the Jet Boots weapon action combo in base PSO2 as opposed to having to hold down the PAs to switch things up. The New Genesis Jet Boots feel too restricted in movement.

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed, the movement compared to base feels restricted and I hope the december update makes it feel a little more fluid. I do enjoy they put a guard point at the end of Spinning Gust + Violent Gale but it kinda kills the momentum of the class when that slow kick comes out LOL. Hopefully December's update is going to add more speed+fluidity to movement to a lot of the weapons in NGS. How do you trigger clod without casting a tech?

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      So the full mechanic on jetboots allows you to use zonde to imbue your JBs with electric. Every JB PA's *ender* applies a clad proc build up. I think a comment said doing hold Spinning Gust into hold Violent gale was the fastest way to build it up, but once it's full built up and you have the circle around you, fully charge a Zonde. Another option if you don't want to be lazy and it's a PSE burst, is drop a Gizonde uncharged and spam violent gale. This makes zonde clad build up ridiculously fast since Gizonde procs give more building + Violent Gale's last hit on the PA builds it up as well. Hope that answers your question!

    I am happy that bouncer is doing great but at the same time i am afraid that just because of the big damage on that hold lmb's last hit, majority of people will only play jet boots and every open area will be filled with lots of bouncers which kinda defeats the purpose of having variety of weapons

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah in Global it happened earlier where a lot of people just started playing purely only Fighter since it was super strong in a 1v1 boss scenario. Hopefully there's some more variety ESPECIALLY with the new class buffs across the board. Gunner is eating reallllllll good along with Wired Lance+Partizan and Force too. Bouncer will most likely be the most played in the areas until the novelty wears out, and then we miiiiight see some people switch their classes around. I'll put out a little video relatively soon covering the new changes, cause they added so much QoL to the classes already in the game. One of my favorite ones is Braver's Iris Gale range was something I *wish* was bigger, and the latest update made it HUGE so AoE on katana is really fun to do now.
