Run, Forrest, Run! It makes for a memorable movie line that millions have uttered over the years. On a deeper level, you get a glimpse of how Jenny's life philosophy develops. She's always moving towns, and men, trying to get away from her abusive past. She just keeps running until she gets sick and can't run anymore. Then comes back to the one person in her life that loved her unconditionally from day one.
even though i felt so sad when she died but still so annoyed that she got back to him only when she knew she might die, when she had no more dreams, she didnt tell him that he has a child till the end, but she is representing many many people in life.
Yeah, also echoes the line that forrest says, “From that day on, if I was goin somewhere, I was RUNNIN’” Forrest always gave everything and everyone 110% throughout the entire story. It’s a shame Tom Hanks sucks so much
I like how when the leg braces break and Forrest’s face is like “time to unleash” while on the adult Forrest smiles a little bit when he says “I was running” you can tell how happy that day was for him
My best friend had never seen the movie up until a few years ago. I told her she needed to watch it and she was freaking out during 0:38. I just looked at her and said "wait". Once 1:03 hit, her mouth was wide open and she was speechless. I turned to her and smiled and said. "Yup, spine straightens out just in time"
@@liamtaylor5122I've always wanted to see a movie where they actually did stuff like that.. A movie that progresses over like a 15-20 year period, using all the same actors. That would be epic
Most people think that this is just a movie about a slow witted guy that gets lucky but it's actually a reflection of all of us that lived through that time and a reminder of what we did. Like Fried Tomatoes, Driving Mrs. Daisy and the Help, it shows the perspective of those eras and I'm glad so many black performers played the roles they did with grace and humor in all these films. These movies are in a class of their own and based on real events and the mores of the time.
0:56 - Jokes aside, this is the most important scene in the entire movie . it's basically saying: you can't handicap Forrest Gump; his handicap won't stop him.

My five year old child has global development delay and is still learning to walk. This scene is always the greatest motivation and hope for me that one day she can really run like Forrest Gump! 😢🙏
I have global developmental delay as well. The doctors who diagnosed me told me I’d never be able to cycle when I was 6. Well, I was fully supported by my parents and conquered it at the age of 7. It’s been my best sport ever since. What your child has is probably individual to them, but the main thing is that they know they have your love and support even if they never learn how to walk. This is a given but I would urge you not to give up and not give in to the worst scenario, and let her go at her own speed. I wish you all the best. ❤
@allypally2895 Thank you so much for taking your time to write this kind words. It really means a lot for me and yes, we are not giving up and can actually see her progress day by day... Thank God for sending angels for passing these messages to me! 🙏

Excellent Tom Hanks movie ever. One of my top five favorite movies of 1994 (like Pulp Fiction, The Shawshank Redemption, Speed, and The Lion King for instance), along with Tom Hanks (like the first Toy Story movie, Apollo 13, Philadelphia, and Saving Private Ryan for instance), and Robert Zemeckis (like the Back to the Future trilogy, Who framed Roger Rabbit?, Flight, and The Walk for instance). Also, the "Run, Forrest, Run!" and "Life is like a box of chocolates" are two of my favorite lines in that movie. Also, I would recommend the movie Tremors with Kevin Bacon if you can upload it, along with Born On the Fourth of July with Tom Cruise, Immortal Beloved with Gary Oldman, Interview with the Vampire with Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, Pump Up the Volume with Christian Slater and Samantha Mathis, Stephen King's Sleepwalkers, the 1978 John Carpenter version of Halloween with Jamie Lee Curtis, and Single White Female with Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
So the message is… run from your problems? No! Stand up for yourself! Stand up to the bullies!! Get to their throats, eyes and balls. Kick, scream and cry if you need to but god in heavens!! Stand up for yourself!!
So which is the better plot-hole, suspension-of-disbelief moment: when Forrest gets hit square in the face with a rock and neither flinches nor bleeds, or when he outruns three bullies on bikes?
The braces breaking apart into the run is still one of the greatest effect moments in film history.
