Today is August 1,2023.Remember watching this meaningful,remarkable and meaningful movie when I was a gaijin working in Akihabara,Tokyo,Japan.My homesickness vanished after watching the movie in DVD.
A fine effort by Robert Zemeckis but a bit creepy in its take on determinism vs free will. We are all just leaves blowing in wind has a creepy history of ghouls who give no credit to greatness and even show contempt for exceptionalism...no matter how altruistic. Either way...The Shawshank Redemption was the #1 film in 94 and deserved Best Picture with Pulp Fiction a near 2nd (for shitting on the 3 act structure in a brilliant way)....Forrest Gump was 3rd (fuck 4 Wedding's and a Funeral in it's dumb asshole) God Bless you all
