- In my opinion this is possibly the best option when it comes to a rod and reel combo that does it all.

Hey mate, do you find the two rod sections fit together flush? Noticed your second section doesn't fit al the way into the first section, and I've got the same issue but wondered if it was just built like that lol
It's supposed to be like that mate all 2 section rods have about a 1cm gap between the top and bottom sections

Great vid, thanks. I’ve been looking at getting a bait caster and moved up from looking at the blue, black and silver max combos, now looking at this one you are showing. I looked at the Svartzonker one but just want to use it on the canals in London and have a go at some pike. I do a lot of fly fishing and buying rods now, I’d rather get the best rather than upgrade a little later but I think I’ll get the Pro seeing its so reasonable to try. Cheers!

I'd say get something custom anyday buy when you can buy a combo and it be great then why not I don't have one anymore I replaced it with better stuff but I'll point anyone to one of these when there starting out 😁

Hi mate, I never comment on videos but I just wanted to say I’ve really enjoyed watching you’re channel. Because of this video I have now purchased one and am looking forward to using it. In the video you mentioned you are using 65lb braid, I’m planning on putting 25-30lb on mine so I’m assuming that would be fine (just thought I’d ask a more experienced anglers opinion). Planning on using it as an all rounder. I was also wondering if you could recommend a good brand of braid? I’m using Berkley on the rod I have at the moment but that blue braid on your setup looks beautiful. Thanks alot man. And there really good for the money I don't think you can go wrong really. And yeah I just use heavy braid as it's still subtle and thin so I go as heavy as I can get away with realy as we have some huge pike in these waters. And I use power pro pretty much all the time now as it's obviously got a huge reputation in the fishing industry and for good reason mate and thankyou for the support 😁👊

Hi mate have to agree it's a quality rod and reel. Got mine 2 years ago. Your right its hard to get good baitcasting gear over here😕 I've also got Diawa and a Westin baitcaster rods. All are great for different lures and weights.

Yeah they are sweet for the price. And nice one you feel like you don't have to be too carefull with them don't you. And oh your right I forgot about the Westin stuff amazing stuff that. And yeah man I own a few rods and a few reels all diff weight ratings but I love my bfs set I feel like a poor man with a Mercedes with that one

It's a great combo for canal predator fishing. Yes 100% it's not a wasp rod and thank god it isn't, but throwing out good cranks and frogs it's a dream. Look you can get this combo in UK for less than 70 squid and abuse the hell out of it and it will take it. The reel is a Volvo with a low roof, all round the star of the combo in fact it feels like you are paying 70 squid for the reel and they are throwing in a free rod.

I'm thinking about getting the same combo, what kind of line you using on the baitcaster? I was thinking of putting florocarbon 15 or 20lb on mine
I was using braid here I can't actually remember the breaking strain tho sorry man but either 15-20lb will work fine 😁
Been thinking about this setup for my pike fishing would ya also recommend it for fishing normal lures and jerkbaits?

So it’s rated 45g rod top end an you had no issues chucking 70 0dd gram an it’s from 15g but how low would it chuck? Curious if 4-10g would work. I know not ideal but be good to know. I want it for pike but love to know if I can squeeze perch baits in as I’d rather not have to get two setups, well not right from the off anyway. 👍
Yeah man when I first got my baitcaster I was throwing everything on it as it was the only one I had at the time and iv casted 5g lures ok the rod and it's been ok do go for it man. I'd suggest getting something specific to weight but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do aye. You can do it but I would recommend getting a separate set up for perch unoess your going for big perch then yeah use this set up 😁

one difference i dont know if you missed it between the Blackmax and the black promax is the promax has a few more bearings in the reel than the Blackmax which makes it slightly smoother.

Yeah I did miss that actually mate. The convo didn't come with a box with specs or anything just came bubble wrapped with rod and reel fitted. And thanks alot mate will do 😁

Hi mate can you do a video on getting started with a baitcaster? Im about to buy the pro max combo but i dont know anyone that uses baitcasters and i could do with some tips like how to set up and how to sort out a birds nest etc because i have literally never held one ps subscribed

You will need a trigger rod and that's made for a baitcaster style reel as the line guides are alot lower and closer to the rod itself plus they are made a little different there made stiffer then conventional spinning rods
Abu seems to pas down design features that just plain work in there lower priced offerings. Hats off to Abu for that!

I want a rod that has enough backbone to pull out the fish from the heaviest cover.. And I prefer fast action heavy power. Was thinking that this rod might work fine for snakeheads
@@elvisirengbam7036 it's deffinatly a verry tough rod and I mean iv had pike of 15lb on the rod so I think it should handle snakeheads but again I don't know how they fight or what there like so I really couldn't say for sure we don't get those fish in the UK
