Omelette Sandwich Recipe By Delicious Storm Easy And Healthy Breakfast Recipe
3 large eggs
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup diced vegetables (onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, spinach, etc.)
1 tablespoon butter or oil
For the Sandwich:
2 slices of bread (whole wheat, white, sourdough, etc.)
1 tablespoon butter (for toasting the bread)
Optional: mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup
Optional: sliced avocado, lettuce, tomato slices, cooked bacon, or ham
Instructions:
Prepare the Omelette:
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Heat the butter or oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Pour in the egg mixture and let it cook undisturbed for about 1 minute.
Sprinkle the cheese and diced vegetables evenly over the eggs.
Cook for another 2-3 minutes, gently lifting the edges with a spatula to let the uncooked eggs flow underneath.
Once the omelette is set and slightly golden, fold it in half and remove it from the skillet. Set aside.
Toast the Bread:
Butter one side of each slice of bread.
In the same skillet or a separate one, place the bread slices butter-side down and toast until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
Flip the slices and toast the other side until golden.
Assemble the Sandwich:
Spread mayonnaise, mustard, or ketchup on one side of each slice of bread if desired.
Place the folded omelette on one slice of the toasted bread.
Add any optional ingredients like sliced avocado, lettuce, tomato slices, cooked bacon, or ham.
Top with the second slice of bread.
Serve:
Cut the sandwich in half if desired and serve immediately.
