The funny part is Lebron is putting in half effort on some of the cuts and screens, but it doesn't matter. He still attracts attention and he can conserve a bit of energy.

I think it’s ironic how the part of AD’s game that is now finally being unlocked is what literally every commentator and analyst has told us every time they talk about his past: he was a PG until he had a late growth spurt and became a center.

The biggest part about JJ’s offensive scheme is his real actions are hidden behind multiple decoy actions.
Defense, especially when team plays lakers the past few years, are used to defending one action per play (AD pick n roll), at most 2 actions (plus iso).
But now JJ is running 2-3 plays before the real play, and every plays he run involves almost all 5 players. Such multiple actions creates huge confusions to the defense.
This is going to generate huge success in the regular season. In the playoff where teams have more time to prepare, it’s hard to say. But for regular seasons it is definitely posed to success.

@@jacksonsheldon41He has played 2 bad games and one good in 3 games with the Nuggets.
Y'all really decide on 3 games if a player is bad with a team. Fact is that Westbrook the past years has been a solid contributor for the teams he played except for the Lakers.
The very first year after the left the Lakers for the Clippers, he shot his career high FG% of 49% and 15.8 points, 5 rebounds, 7.5 assists 1 steal and 0.4 blocks in only 28 minutes of playing time.
The common dominator was the Lakers. How are you getting Westbrook and have him play off ball instead of a pick&roll with Davis, Lebron and Hachimura on repeat?
That was most certainly a trash decision by Lebron who decided to keep the ball in his hands and have Westbrook 'set screens and cut' and have him play like some mini Draymond Green, when Westbrook plays like a mini Lebron.
Yes Lebron has a great bball IQ, but even people with a high bball IQ, make dumb decisions at times.

Nah like just look at their passing only. So much change. Last years with vogel and ham, they had AD or bron on post/iso 80% of the time. Pretty much target ball. However the 2020 team was an exception, not much passing as this one but with lebron as the pure point, and the amount of shooting that roster had, they were due for a ring. + defense was literally insane that year. Last time they looked this promising was 2020 or maybe arguably 2023 during that miracle run .

The passing is increased but so has the variety of passers. Gabe Vincent, already a good passer, is passing to AD rather than take a contested three. AD is the hub of the offense when Lebron is resting, something everyone has wanted for years and Ham couldn't make happen. When we're not just chucking threes and hoping AD will get a rebound it's already a different offense.
8:14 - I love to see this. JJ is still one of the guys. Yes, he's the coach. Yes, he's going to make tough decisions. But at the end of the day, JJ Redick is still a teammate who loves the game.

Rui has been surprisingly good for them bro gotta be borderline 20pt scorer along with Reaves great future ahead of em then if Knecht develops more i think can be cornerstone with AD.

Lakers and Suns both got massive coach upgrades. Bud using KD as the focal point of the late game offensive sets look like a no brainer but remember last year he was standing near the corner as secondary options with DB / BB operating up top!! BB’s defense will hopefully improve w better coaching, otherwise Bud will just cut his minutes. Letting Austin Reaves abuse him all game w back doors / screens is just unacceptable for this level. JJ’s space / pace system is super charging AD. People whined AD not being aggressive enough at times, he didn’t have space to operate AND he wasn’t featured.

I remember when everybody was calling the Lakers the clown show & the circus show & the LeBron show before the season started. Now that JJ Is showing promise as a coach so far, nobody has given LeBron the credit for acquiring JJ. Now I bet if the Lakers were 1-3 they’ll be all over LeBron talking about this is his team and this is who he wanted 😂💯

Am I crazy or are the first play & the play Lebron drew up close but not the same? Never saw the 3 man set a low post cross screen for LeCoach to catch the entry pass before whipping it to the top of the key for that 3 attempt. Looked like it was a regular pass to lebron with a couple screens for AR at the top. Right? Promise I’m not trolling 😂

Letting players put their buddies and family members in as teammates and coaches has a long history of poor results. Maybe they'll win the title, hey, but there's a lot of aspects to coaching besides just being friends with the best player and describing fancy plays on a podcast.
