I've been searching for videos regarding brown eyes and eyeshadows since forever and I can say, I have not watched a single one that I liked or totally agreed with. Now your video randomly popped up in my recommendations and, boy, am I glad it did. The colors you mentioned are coincidentally my most used eyeshadow colors, together with mustard, yellow, lime green and olive. Prior to your video, though, I never really thought about brown eyes matching every single color there is, rather, I take into consideration my skin tone when choosing my eyeshadow shades and then I find that every color compliments my eye color. Me being a light warm olive skin toned, I typically go for the warmer side of the spectrum of any color I choose. Say, the first color you mentioned: purple, I go for the warmer purples, with reddish undertones instead of the blue based or white based ones. The rust, gold, copper, mustard, yellow, lime green and olive go well with my skintone because they are on the warm side, too. Cobalt blue is neutral, so I can get away with it, too. some quick tips if you wanna try some of these colors but aren't sure how to incorporate them ; try a pop color for liner (bright purple or blue looks amazing) instead of an inner corner highlight or in combination to one try a pop or color or even just make the shimmer in that color such a more gold or copper shimmer, add the lower lash line smoke in a fun color ive noticed for my very dark brown eyes a warm rust smokey ish eye with copper shimmer and an army green lower lash smoke is AMAZING!
I wear rust and gold a lot. I also like to use copper on my bottom waterline instead of a beige-ey tone. I really appreciate the length of your videos Stephanie. Just long enough for good content but not too long with all that excess chatter
I wanted to say the same thing to her but I did not want to keep her from making slightly longer videos because I enjoy every minute of them. But there are some people that I subscribe to that I look at the length of their videos, on a day when I have a limited time, and if they're over 28 or 29 minutes I have to weigh the decision about whether to watch that one, or instead, 2 of Stephanie's, and of course I choose 2 of Stephanie's!!👍🏼😊

@@stephanieholiday for brown eyes I do prefer a lavender purple as you mentioned and also I like a light bronze which I think can bring out the shiny I can't quite explain it but I think you can probably understand if you picture the bronze glimmer effect. A pale sort of green might also be pretty because Brown has so many other colors in it that you can take a color and put it next to Brown and then suddenly will notice in the brown you will see a little dash or hint of that color as well, if that makes sense😊🤗

I have hazel eyes but they look mostly brown unless you look close. I feel like I can wear all colours really. Warm colours bring more attention to the green hues and colder colours like purple and blue showcase the brown.
I appreciated this video. It's really hard to find someone who addresses shadows for brown eyes. I'm colorblind so this is interesting. Mine aren't quite as dark as yours and according to others, I have a blue ring around my eyes, which is very unusual. Whenever I wear purple, people say I look tired! I'll have to try rust and bronzes, since being colorblind I tend to stick to neutrals.
I have dark brown eyes and love green eyeshadow and navy blue shades and grey - i also like purple and cherry shades- and of course the neutral shades- i don’t wear the wild color palettes like yellow or bright pink much
I tend to go for brighter, warm colors, and typically in high shimmer formulas. I will say, though, silver has a way of doing incredible things. My go-to color is metallic lime, or that green-gold duochrome.
Since I have deep-set eyes, so almost no space for the eyeshadow to be visible I opted for coloured eyeliner and because I have a fair complexion with cool undertones I usually go for the cool tones and use the darker ones when I want to draw attention. ☺️
Love colored eyeliner! I know a lot of people who do the exact same thing and it totally works and it's always the star of the show because of how beautifully bold it is :)

I found out that mauves look good on me, my fav palettes are the ELF Bite Size Rose Water and the Colourpop Making Mauves, because yes my eyes are deep brown but my skin tone is neutral and golden sometimes doesn't look as good as I's like to (yellows look awful on me :( ), but rose gold does :D thank you for all your content I'm trying to keep up with so many videos and useful information, greetings from México! and please plea a tutorial on those copper eyes please!
