  • You will learn how a servo motor works and how a servo motor is designed in this video. You will also see why servo motors are used for robots and CNC machine tools. The servo motor control is explained and why servo motors have such accurate sensors. Of course, I also tell you what makes servo motors so special. Servo motors are AC motors, so they can be induction motors but also synchronous motors. Usually synchronous motors with permanent magnets are used. A servo motor is always a part of an electric servo drive system, which consists of a servo motor an inverter and a position sensor. Because servo motors usually only run for a very short time and do not run continuously, they only have air or water cooling in a few cases. For the control of a servo motor a cascade controller is used.

very useful video, but i wanna know Do cascade controllers have temperature requirements, and are you using your own motors?

Without liquid cooling not so cool. I would say hot!

Most servo motors do get warm yes, but because servo motors do not run continuously, they always have a short time to cool down.

Your Videos are very good. But (in my opinion) you are gesticulating too much and too wild. For me it is distracting from the real content. No offense,.. just well-intentioned criticism

You're right the gesticulation is a bit much. Thanks for your feedback, I will reduce it, a bit ;-)
