    I bought a bike that is about the same, but is 27.5 and has a Rock Shark brand. I converted mine to a 1X, replaced the fork with an air fork, replaced the pedals with Crank Bros double shot clipless pedals and also replace the grips with bolt ons. That's pretty much it right now. I don't ride is a lot because I prefer to use analog bikes, but when I do it has been great. One negative, the front brake caliper cracked right around where it mounts to the fork. Thankfully, I have a bunch of brake calipers I replaced with hydraulics still hanging around and used one of those sets to replace both calibers on this bike. I'm with you, use it and if it brakes, get another one. My wifes ebike, which I bought on eBay almost 3 years ago and did similar mods to is still running perfectly and that one gets used at least once a week, sometimes more.

      I got 955 miles total so far, since last summer. Nice ebike for the price, one thing to note though is the decrease in charged range during the colder weather seasons. Other than that great bike.

    The adjuster for the handlebar requires you to loosen the side bolt and an underneath bolt. Once I discovered the underneath bolt it adjusted easily. That info is NOT in the instruction manual.

    I just got one of these and the shiftable handlebar was a little complicated. There is a bolt underneath you need to loosen. It has like a small plate on it. Then moves freely.

    What about hills? Even with the motor, how hard do you have to pedal to get up a hill?

    • @DOUGandNIKI
      @DOUGandNIKI  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not sure exactly how to answer as I now live in Southern Florida and anything they call a hill down here wouldn't count as a hill anywhere else. I can't really speak to that but it does seem plenty powerful. I can't imagine it would be an issue in a low gear.

    • @LebronPhoto1
      @LebronPhoto1 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've climbed some very steep hills with my bike which is basically a clone of this one (same motor, battery, etc) with a different brand. Just had to put it on high to limit how hard I had to pedal (I'm 64). My wife has another bike with the same rear hub 350W motor and she did the same but in high pedal assist (she is 62).
