Google Photo needs an AI function that goes through your photos and identifies similar looking ones and helps you keep the best ones. that 17k photos could end up as 5k and save Google a ton of storage.
This is great content - I learned new things, just as I started migrating all my unsorted photos from my messy hard drive to Google Photos. 👍 I would love to watch more videos of this kind!
What I still miss is the option to not export the changes made to a new file but have the diff stored and then only "one image" in the library like e.g. iOS or Samsung does it.
I didn't like the fact they made magic eraser/editor available to other devices this kinda set Pixel apart from other phones basically closed their own money marketing capabilities
My preferred photos app. I don't touch one plus nor Samsung's gallery apps. Nope. Google photos. So many features and the 2nd best photo editing app aside from Lightroom...ESPECIALLY with a pixel.
Still waiting on frame by frame preview for videos like iOS. This continues to be the 1 feature that iOS has that I can't believe still isn't available on Android. Even when taking a Slow Motion video, the preview isn't that great.
Do you mean the preview bar that runs along the bottom for video and stills? If so Samsung Galary has had that for years. Although I wish Google photos did it too as that's where I back up all my photos to.
I haven't had a Samsung device since the Pixel line-up started, so if Samsung has that for video playback then yes that's probably what I'm referring to from iOS as well.
Damn, I just checked my Google Photos. It says 19,476. That's a lot of photos, though I do back up my screenshots, so I don't know how many actual photos there are.
As long as there are no folders like on one drive ... , I will never use Google photos to back up photos.. I mean I need a feature where by I can just create a folder within Google photos space .
You can use any 3rd party gallery app. Some people just might not know some of the features of google photos or they might just be store everything in a hard drive.
@steve9377 it AUTOMATICALLY HAS TO HAVE permission to all your photos EVEN IF YOU DONT WANNA UPDATE, the reason that that is bull is because you cant even delete whatever they have on you without giving them more! And then it is so shit that when you delete anything on it it literally deletes it off YOUR PHONE GALLERY, LIKE WHAAAATTTT, it's only good for google slaves who want to keep everything with them
Facial recognition is terrible! It constantly misidentifies people, no matter how many times I tell it otherwise. Apple's people search is far better. The app is slow to update new photos and often freezes. It has done this on every phone I have ever owned. It is far from an impressive app, just good for storage but not much else.
These type of deep dive videos are needed for other google apps as well
17000 photos and not one of me.
32,027 and same
🤣🤣🤣
So true hahaha
Where i can see the amount of photos i have
70k some with me.
Xavier Uncle is in this video! XD
7:30
3:18 “Devices as old as the Pixel 6a”
Me: cries in Pixel 5 😅
What about pixel 6 and 6 pro, its older than the 6a
I'm using pixel 4

Take a sip of whatever you're drinking everytime I say "photos" 🤣🤣
I love these deep dive videos, I learn so much.
I love all of it, but when are we getting the video boost?😂😂

3:37 Is that the Essential P1 in the background?? Cool! ...but also yikes, I think.
It is, the ocean depths model my prized possession 😅
Please upload more videos for about pixel and android
Amazing video thanks for all the tips and tricks of the Google photos app..
Search is really hit or miss. I put in ocean and got a bunch of pictures of the desert.
What I still miss is the option to not export the changes made to a new file but have the diff stored and then only "one image" in the library like e.g. iOS or Samsung does it.
Im a student and ya that homework feature and all the answers that google lens finds are insane❤
Of course am a Google workspace business standard user , some features don't apply for me ..
I didn't like the fact they made magic eraser/editor available to other devices this kinda set Pixel apart from other phones basically closed their own money marketing capabilities

Yes more granular jog control would be good have on occasion, it seems a simple implementation 🤷♂️
The magic editor is coming to other android phones?
For me it's portrait light and video editing

Another brilliant video 😊
What do you use as your gallery of not Google photos while having a pixel phone? I thought, that's pretty much the only option.
You can use any 3rd party gallery app. Some people just might not know some of the features of google photos or they might just be store everything in a hard drive.
How to disable that hdr effect view on google photos ?
When will the print store feature come to India?
You guys are amazing 🤩
how can I exclude folders from Google photo?
Searching for recognised faces doesn't work with identical twins very well, guess I'll continue doing it yhe old way with albums lol
For video editing, I prefer Samsung Gallery.
#TeamPixel Hello!
The recognised face (People) section is terrible in Google photos. I hope they can fix it as soon as possible.
watching this on the Nothing Phone 1 where we're basically forced to use google photos
How many photo's do you have?
Album creation is buggy. It won't automatically add all relevant photos to newly created albums.
5:04 lol, that's Kilian from @iknowreview
wtf at 07:13! you met kilian from iknowreview?
17k photos? Im lucky to jave 17 photos on my phone at any time.
Nice cameo of @iknowreview 😁😁
4:31 AI generated memories is great until it reminds you of a breakup
Sorry I don't want google to snoop on my photos.
Google photos is one of the reason I'm staying with pixel 5... Pixel 5a and newer sucks!
you still on the original motherboard?
Google photos is ABSOLUTE TRASH
why?

Too bad Google Drive search sucks
