I bought this app back in 2022 for $1.5 (50% off) when I have no budget to get a better computer to play games, now it has its own upscaler and frame generator. Best $1.5 spent.
I'm a game / software programmer. I can guarantee FSR 2 & 3 would never work with this program. There is a reason they can only be put directly into the game.
FSR 2+ requires motion vectors etc... the only way would be to detect what game is running and directly inject mods into it.
I wonder ir there could be some simpler frame interpolation AI (like in TVs) without vectors for really old GPUs. Ofc quality would be terrible but still, just for science.
This has changed callisto protocol for me. 4k 120hz oled with 3080ti. struggling to get 40-50 fps with tay tracing. set my tv to 100hz. rtss cap 50fps. and it doubles and runs in 80-100 window. awesome!
In the Lossless Scaling Settings, you can tell it to show the FPS being generated. It will be in top left, but Afterburner/RTSS might cover it if that's where you have your overlay.
Pretty awesome app for laptops and igpus. Beggars can't be choosers. 😉
LS frame gen is best used to make games that are hardcapped to 60fps run at a smoother 120.
Dark souls games seem to like it
You can use the app's in-built draw fps option to see your fps wit frame gen. The option is further down the list of options that's on the right of the app.
Also, set your game to 720p, set the game to Windowed, set Lossless Scaling to scale using LS1, turn on Lossless Scaling's in-app vsync (along with double buffering), and turn off the half monitor refresh rate (using a 144hz monitor) and set your refresh rate to max refresh rate in Lossless Scaling's options (bottom right in the app), and go ahead.
I am using this method on Rise of Industry and I am getting 144hz in the game.
Tips for knowing if LS working or not, make sure u turn on "DrawFps" option
Regarding adding in FSR2-3, not feasible. Higher quality upscalers and frame generators like recent versions of FSR and DLSS have to be built into the game so they can have access to things like motion data for objects. Whereas FSR1 simply takes a single completed image and processes it. So, easy for a program like Lossless Scaling to do by just capturing an image from a game window and running it through the FSR1 algorithm, as it would any of its other scaling options.
You can show the FPS from inside Lossless Scaling from the right drop list

When I used it, it seems to work without limiting my fps to half of screen refresh rate in order to work. I don't know if it makes a difference whether I limit it or not, but it works amazingly.

Yeah they say you have to but it does work without capping
Is for better pacing to cap the games to half your monitor and if you have nvidia do this from control panel.

Can I set the game's refresh rate in the menu of the game itself instead of a software like RivaTuner?
It runs just fine at 1440p, 120 hz

Actually wanted to use this Frame Generation tech in competitive games more specifically in Valorant and wanted to observe the overall performance in it.
My Specs are
CPU - Intel Core i7 870 (4c/8t) @ 2.9 Ghz Locked ( 95 Watt )
GPU - GT 710 GDDR3 Variant (Overclocked while gaming only to Memory +220 Mhz and Base Clock to +430 Mhz) (30ish Watt after Overclock)
Ram - 8gb DDR3 at 1330 ( at 9:9:9:24:174 )
Storage - Samsung Evo 870 (500 GB Variant)
Overall in it. I do get around 70 to 120 FPS at most but then too much of the Agents abilities are going on at that time the games does lag up extremely.
FPS does drop somewhere around 40 to 50ish for around 5 to 10 seconds.
So Was Curious to see what kind of magic can this Frame Generation Technology can do on these really low end Graphic Cards,
Can it really breath a new life in it ?
From what I’ve seen it feels pretty good when fps stays at constant number and gpu isn’t over taxed
one issue with competitive games..it is smoothing the image from one frame to the next to look better - interpolating the frames. but it's not boosting your responsiveness like if you genuinely had that fps. your input lag is the same low as before. so it's better for single player story games
I'm on a GTX 1080ti and these FSR3 mods plus Lossless Scaling saved me :3

yeah working on my 4k setup
put me at 120 fps in cyberpunk with a 1070 on high, on ultra i'm at 105.
But it has direct integration of latest dlss/fsr + FG. 🤔
I had 120frames medium settings in Destiny 2 - now i have around 160 - 180 frames medium to high qual. with a gtx 1070. The app is quite worth the price and we can just hope there will be steady updates in the future.
There is a lot Work to do. It has a lot smearing and frameskipping. Tried IT with my 4090. Under 60 nativ FPS dont use it, its aweful. Nativ FSR 3 FG is faaaar better. But for a beginning a very good start. Nice App, got IT on sale for about 2 Euro. Also AFMF is better too, both cant handle move vectors, but driver based AFMF is far better too.
FSR FG also needs 60 fps to be consistent? Lower than that is plain horrible.
Lossless felt quite right for what I expected. But I haven't used FSR 3 FG yet.

I've used this for a long time now and this frame gen thing is really fascinating ( Also FSR 2.0 and 3.0 needs to be injected as far as I am aware which could trigger anti cheats and such and overlay approach is just safer so adding it could cause issues that's why people add a mod instead )

This software will never have FSR 2.2 or FSR 3, that is impossible. FSR 2.2 or higher needs integration within the engine of a game.
I heard it works at 4k. You sure it’s only 1080p?

@@EzHardwareIt works on 4k. I've used this app along time. You have to change your windows display resolution to 3840x2160. The resolution where everything is tiny. Then you run your games in 720p windowed mode. Also, make sure your refresh rate is a even 60fps. Not the fake 60fps 59.94. (60fps).
It works on any resolution. The dev himself wrote it.

Terrible Ghosting issues in most games .......so its pretty much useless IMO...
