Holding the ctrl key while making the selection. That completely blew my mind. I have been editing for the last 6 years and I was completely clueless about this. This is the reason I love your channel ❤️
insane! needed this so bad xD
Handshake 🤝🏽
After making the garbage mask, I use the UltraKey and hold CTRL and click on green near my subject, but NOTHING happens. I followed his directions and it doesn't behave like in the video. Suggesting?
This is the best Premiere Pro greenscreeen Tutorial I have ever seen!(And I saw a lot and made one myself)
I have another technique that I want to share with you, in case it's useful to your viewers. This technique even includes bad chroma lighting.
1. With Lumetri I isolate the green colour itself and make it more green. This can be tricky if you have hair etc, but as much as possible I made the green saturated and equal. This might need 2 Lumetri effects depending on how bad the shot is. This also minimizes or removes completely the wrinkles in the chroma if it's textile.
2. Keying normally as you did.
3. Instead of duplicating the shot, I duplicate the key. I make one keying effect, with a mask, for the spilled green, and another for the overall green keying. The order and balance between them depends on what's needed, but basically this makes me avoid the duplication of the video segment itself. The secret here is masking the Ultra Key.
I hope this was useful. Great work you have. Keep going.

Notice that the original footage is with older cameras and on a cheap wrinkly chroma cloth, so in order to get this idea i followed that method mentioned in my comment.
Good stuff!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
I didn't actually watch the video - I saw your comment and thought that's a great idea. I immediately did exactly what your comment said and it worked better than ever before! Thank you very much!
Awesome. Straight to the point. Love your tutorials!
Duplicating the clip and masking out a smaller section to help with the remaining noise is such a GREAT tip! I've been working more and more with green screen at my corp gig and was running into that problem towards the end of my clean up. This was very helpful! Thank you.
This has been among the most helpful videos for dealing with green screen ghost issues! Thank you! as I worked through my video clips, I did notice that using Matte Cleanup -> Contrast and -> Midpoint bumped all the way up to 100% helped eliminate those lingering ghosts of green screen.
This channel has been an amazing educator for me. I’m in school currently and my internship uses premiere pro for all their projects and the software I’m most familiar with is Divinci Resolve. These videos have been very helpful thank you!
I always appreciate your tutorials and you in general. Thank you!

Thanks for the post! You give great, easy-to-follow directions. Will be trying this out soon. However, we decided to go with a blue screen instead of a green screen since we sometimes wear green scrubs on video.

I think the holding ctrl when selecting is going to be the game changer here for me - but - generally I've been having mixed results with green screen but never felt like it had to be perfect for what I do - but there's basics in there which should boost stuff for me for minimum extra effort : thank you!
