Nice job with the tutorial! Very helpful!
This was so helpful!! Thank you - definitely going to be referencing this vid often
Thanks for this. I messed up with lighting a lot so this tutorial saved me. Thanks again Derek!
No problem, glad I could help!
Excellent instructions! Very informative and well presented! Very helpful! Subscribed! Thanks so much! 👍
Glad you liked it. I need to get back into making tutorials.
Thank you! Saved my life this evening in compositing.
Wow, that turned out great. I have 15 minutes of 4k to key and think I'm gonna try this over keylight in AE since Premiere handles the files so much faster.
Yea it might be easier to start in premiere pro. If a part is to difficult to key, take it over to AE.
This was a very helpful and clear explanation! Thanks
Glad I could help!
Nice and simple. Me gusta!
Great video very very helpful and well explained! One question though 5:36 you’re reading settings and what it does, where you reading that info? I’d love to read more about settings in premiere like that
that was pretty sweet cutting back to the green screen set up. iI just made my first green screen commercial piece . Like your content
It was a lot of fun haha. Thanks for checking us out.
life saver! Thank you for this. Subbed
Glad I could help!
man this is so proffesional im subbing
Great tutorial, thanks for posting!
Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks man! It helped :)
Thanks Man!
Thanks. I subbed. I got half of it and will experiment from here.
Thanks for the sub, let me know if you have any questions!
Great tutorial!
YOU DESERVE MUCH MORE👍🙌
Thanks man!!! More to come!
thanks for the video, cool man
thanks man good advice. maybe try going over a few basics every now and then, such as how selecting items from certain menus doesn't give the same options (i may be wrong im a beginner to adobe but i noticed that i had this issue whilst editing) . i had to spend a few minutes to find the 'ultra key' setting under a different tab since the first didn't have changeable options.
Exelent tutorial
Cool great hints
Hi, Great video. For some reason no matter what I do the Ultra Key won't remove my green screen background at all. Can you think of any reason why that function wouldn't work ? Thanks
This is very helpful. I was just a little confused about the adjustment layer. is that just a picture of a background? Thanks!
Excellent Thank You
Thanks for the video. Which is better green or blue screen?
great video
What kind of shutter speed would you be shooting if you wanted to apply motion blur after, does it matter like does it have to be a multiplier of the fps or anything or is it just dependent on lighting?
I think it’s just a preference, normal is 180 degree shutter… on a dsl that’s 1/50 for 24p, if you moved up to say 1/80 that might be a good spot to minimize shutter
Thank you for the motion blur trick
Glad I could help.
when I join the selections together it doesn't delete the outside areas like yours. Do I need to install something to fix this problem?
I am a happy new subscriber :) thanks for the great video. Now I see that it is possible to make the green screen perfect .. ONLY: it's not nearly as perfect for me as it is for you .. how do you do that, aren't there any more points? for me the EDGE is flickering ..
Thanks for the sub! It really depends on how evenly you light your back ground, the more even it is, the easier ultra key has to remove it.
@@MakeMediaStudios yes, but I make the mistake and lightet too much and I am only 1.5m from the greenscreen away.. it REFLACTED too much of green, made me too much work:) now I see, I do NOT need light it so much..
Do you know some way to choose two (or more) tones of green to improve the chroma key? Something like a "parallel chroma key".
I have never tried anything like that, but you could apply the effect twice and choose 2 different colors, maybe that will work.
Good job bro
Thank you so much 😀
May I know what is the export settings for this? bec when I export it and use it in OBS it doesn't take away the black part, I mean it's now transparent.
You need to export out a QuickTime/Animation including the Alpha Key. I will look into making a video about this in the future.
[end of the video] "Thanks for watching!" *snaps fingers* *has been on another green screen the entire time*
😂😂😂
Can this be done with existing footage like a movie clip? Could the actors be isolated and the background become transparent?
You would need to rotoscope the person out. After effects has a pretty good auto rotoscoping tool. I have a video about it, look it up in my channel
The end 😂😂😂
Can you please provide the video you used here, So that it would be super efficient for me to practice? Thanks
hello can you tell me how to fix my skin color? it turned to gray after i ultra key it. thanks in advance!
Were your parents both gray as well? If so, then all is normal. ;-)
Thank you
Please what is the shutter speed you were recording at?
I am shooting 24FPS at 1/50 Shutter. If you are doing something that has lots of movement, I suggest moving that shutter up to something around 1/80.
This is to minimize the shutter blur causing the green ghosty look behind the subject.
How to put stroke on a subject after removing the green screen?
Honestly I appreciate the photoshop analogies
It’s where I started so it makes the most sense to me!
SUBBED
Thanks and Welcome!
Can you give photo of your background to practice
Thanks, good work. Just one thing. Your comment that matte comes from the paintings on glass that were called matte, is incorrect. Yes, they were called matte painting, because as you described they were placed in-between the camera and scene to MASK parts of the scene. Those paintings, and our matte tools today, all use the word matte to essentially mean "mask".
Thanks for watching, always learning, and know I know that matte means mask! Thank you.
Fine
Good
I’ve I drag ultra key, the other options don’t pop up. What am I doing wrong haha
Not exactly sure what’s going on…
When i close the Mask the Backround doesnt Dissapear
Onde está você Derek, abandonou o canal?
113 subs big man
Step number one : find effects
lol i cant find it xd
This was an awesome tutorial until the end when you started cursing about your cat. Now I can't show it to my video students unless I edit out that part.
Glad you enjoyed the tutorial.
Too much talk
Thanks for the tips. You have incredible hair.
Don't waste your time
