This is iDataLink Mastro. Works on all Nex unit from the 4000-8000 and newer. My 8000nex, I use my bluetooth OBD II scanner and Dash Command to display gauges on my head unit.
Congratulations! Nice presentation! I purchased the Pioneer AVIC-F980TV and want to install WV CrossFox 2014 model car, but there is a feature (Gauges) in it that collects information like km, consumption, car performance etc. Would it be for OBD2 bluetooth, USB ?! How I do? What connection I use ?
I wondered if the idatalink connection to 4200nex would show check engine light codes? Seems since it's connected, it should be able to do the diags. I'm just wondering what good it does to look at the gauges and a check engine light on the 4200nex screen vs looking to my left and seeing it on the car's gauges? What else does it offer?
This is cool and all but will the screen resolution for the head units ever reach HD quality? Even if it was just 720p. That would be quite the upgrade! Comon Pioneer, HD display has been the new industry standard for years now.
Noticed that when you were explaining the AVH-4200NEX and explaining CarPlay you were pinching and zooming on the map (which is really cool by the way). A huge improvement over other CarPlay implementations. But then I realized you had quietly cut over to using the AVIC-8200NEX with the Garmin nav app. If I were snarky I might call that deceptive. But since I'm not, I would never. Does the 4200 still use the clunky up/down/right/left arrows to move the map or can you move it around with the drag of your finger like you can on the 8200?
I love this raido but the Bluetooth call suck there needs to be a way u can remove the call screen wen u go to private mode on ur Bluetooth and go to another source
I'm building a new dash for my 1999 dodge ram and I want to put new gauges radio and any cool new technology available to make it a showwinner. I have foam installed over steel frame. fiberglass, metal flake and speakers coming soon
Marquise Williams it comes with it I believe I just got the AVH 1440 NEX. With the Idatalink RR and I believe it came with it got mine through Crutchfield along with all new speakers and amps
And please feel free to advice me. I will like to put a powerful sound system that will fit my car and it's size, any additional list of what my be good for such a car such as the power amp watts and sub woofer type will surely help a lot.
I kno they just came out with the 8200 nex as well so will the 8100 get a firmware update for the Idatalink stuff 2 really work if not this really makes me mad cause I jus bought the dam 8100 Dec 15 lol dammit and that was the mean reason why I bought the the 8100
Pioneer Radio DMH-WC5700NEX Hello to you, I will not write a message that is too long because I want to make sure I have an answer before describing my message in detail 😀 I have a Pioneer Radio DMH-WC5700NEX connect with a Maestro Rr2 with all the associated cables for my radio, my problem is in the gauges (it says ignition is off)
The unit works best with iphone, my samsung 5 on apple play the album cover doesn't show up as background. On my wife Iphone 5 the album cover shows up as background. Other than that small thing the unit is great.
Makes no difference. Apart from datalink it doesn't offer anything new! And even with datalink, if you're driving a common economy car, you can't use 3/4 of the features!
Fuck Pioneer . Spent $400 to buy 7" in dash for 1 year use only! After that the screen freeze, it auto shut down and reboot itself as many as it like to do! I also own Pioneer TV and also 1 year use only. Keep away this name

What do you need to hook up to the car to get the gauges? Plug into obd2?

Hi, i have a kia picanto 2018 gt line, will that unit fit in there. By the way my unit will have to be a single din...
And please feel free to advice me. I will like to put a powerful sound system that will fit my car and it's size, any additional list of what my be good for such a car such as the power amp watts and sub woofer type will surely help a lot.
