@@ansuna974 not at all. We only remember the good ones because... well, they are good. Nobody remembers the average ones. And some are so ridiculously bad that we remember them, too 😀
Dave Holland's drums sound like cannons on this album, and he plays with machine-like power and precision, but with groove - he's my favorite metal drummer ever.
Priest gets a bad rap because of Spinal Tap and there was a big "Metal is the Devil" in the 80s that scared a bunch of people away. The Gov't went after us Metal Heads starting in the early 80s.
I love how the ending riff keeps growing, as after each time they play one of those crazy licks, they join in with the rhythm, so it builds in intensity as layer after layer of rhythm guitar gets added on until the explosive finish.
In 82' this track turned me on to metal. Around the same time I picked up 'Maiden Japan". I started off as a bassist in 90' but currently i play guitar for an audience of one shadow as often as i can. I am a bit younger at 49 but age is just a number. For some reason i feel like i am just getting started as far as energy and technical ability
Often I Like the older Songs live more than the Studio Version. The matured and more volumed voice of Halford with the heavier production of the whole Songs
@@Gath8mm “Marching Out” was a great record. I am glad to hear it got you thtough that. Thanks for your service. Check out Steeler debut with Ron Keel on vocals as well as Alcatrazz “No Parole from Rock n Roll.” Great early 80z stuff.
Saw them in 79 in Rochester,NY. My first of many Priest shows since. The place was a small venue called the Triangle Theater. I believe Dave Holland had just joined the band. Either way , they blew me and I've been a fan ever since
I've loved Priest since 1979 but still tear my hair out that they play Living After Midnight and Breaking The Law (surely 2 of their blandest tunes) at every show instead of breaking out Steeler, The Rage, Delivering The Goods, Genocide, Deceiver more often. Great that they are now playing some of the vintage material but still loads more they could play to spice up the setlist.
I love to hear and see Rob but seeing priest without either one of their Guitarists......not with me. It's like seeing Fleetwood Mac without Lindsay Buckingham....pointless.
A couple of years back Priest did play this entire album in concert followed by some their greatest hits. I took my 12y/o and 14y/o as they wanted to go to their first rock concert. I was holding them on top of their chairs when the guys in front of us turned to see if I wanted to get high. They couldn't believe That I was such a cool dad. they moved to the side ensuring my boys could see and then went down a row or two to get high. We didnt stay that long (fear of contact high) but it led to my oldest playing drums in garage bands..
The last minute of this song is my favorite minute of music ever
steeler is my favorite song of the album :)
@@luishumbertocervantesarria629 ABSOLUTELY HERMANO, its mine as well.
DAMN, I f---in' love the riff at the end of this song, IT KICKS ASS AND HOLDS ALL.
YES, and you must listen to the last minute of With Jupiter in mind by Joe Satriani. Same kind of relentless riff
@@tablatom Seriously, I didn't know that, not much into Satch, although I do love some of his shit from the 80's, he is a great guitarist regardless.
How can there be so many great songs on one album?!
It's Judas Priest.
Same with all Roth era Van Halen
It's called talent my good boy...talent.

Definitely. Rapid Fire is one of my favorite Priest songs too.
Pretty sure that's Les Binks on drums.

Nope. British Steel was Dave's first album with Judas Priest.
Nope
Just another song to confirm who the kings of heavy metal are. Long live Priest! Can't believe they came up with riffs like these over 40 years ago.
Judas Priest fan since I was 19, now 62, one of my favorite songs! Pumps my blood all the way up!!
Me too brother, the original metal
Saw this tour with openers Whitesnake and Iron Maiden in 1981,Rochester, NY. All three bands were at their peak!!!
Most underrated Metal song of all time!!! it's soooo good
I agree !

Grinder ain't bad....
I don't know why you would listen to any thing else. Judas priest is and will always be the best heavy metal band of all time.

TRUE HEAVY METAL
I love when they add this to their live set
"The Rage" is just before this song on the album. Perfect continuity!!
The best song of british steel!
Absolutely agree !!!!
It is!!
Best. Album ending. EVER!!!!!!!!!
The live version of this song at the Seminole hard Rock arena back in 2010 is absolutely epic.
You're not wrong! It's an absolute monster!! Thanks for the tip-off 😎
That show is incredible, the mix on that concert is the best Preist has ever sounded live on youtube.
I'm on board with that. Absolutely KILLER.. N yes the ending just takes me away from back then till now. Defend The Faith all of you that are here.!!

Amazing🤘🤘
The bombing of the drums at 2:15 and then another riff is simply amazing!
Underrated drummer for sure. Good swing and chops.
That's also the intro drumming of riding on the wind. Excellent bombing drumming.
masterpiece and the best riff ever🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘💥💥💥💥💥
PRIEST PRIEST PRIEST PRIEST! LIGHTERS UP!!!!
Dave Holland 's snare tone is sharp, Glenn's cutting power chords brings another Priest classic life! Great production in the analog days....
the sharp drums on "" Burning up "" is so killer.....
Saw Them Last Night in Albany NY - The Whole Show was Awesome but this, They Played Flawlessly - UnFreaking Really Tight !!!!!!!!!!!!
I would not have made it through the shit I have been through without this band. This song resonates HARD.
I am so with you brother!

Judas Priest is spot on, absolutely all-time greats, but Yngwie Malmsteen's Marching Out got me through the first Gulf War. Worth looking into.

This and Rapid Fire are the best 2 songs on British Steel album!! Priest keep on rocking and rolling!! 💪💪💪👍👍👍🤟🤟🤟🤟
Best track on the album I always thought. Saw so many Priest/Maiden shows it was ridiculous. Great live bands too.
Yes indeed, only saw Maiden live once in 2011, fantastic performance. Sadly never got to see classic line up of Priest live.
My favorite song on British Steel. I think the kids of today would call it a "BANGER." I would have to agree.
Dave Holland was such a beast on the drums
too bad he was a PDF file.
This song pounds it out start to finish, supreme metal!
Waiting like jackals..
To sneak up and trick you.....
Dammit.....
Masterpiece......☝
I had forgotten how great this song was off this album!! Best song by Priest for me!! 👍👍👍🤟🤟🤟💪💪💪 Steeler!!!
I saw Judas Priest perform this song in Memphis at the Mid South Coliseum in 1984 on the Defenders of the Faith tour.

Real music at its finest
Saw them twice in the 80's. Amazing both times. This track is really powerful but also very melodic and the build up at the end is just wonderful.
Una de las mejores canciones del metal!!
I saw them in the mid eighties and were one of the best live bands in concert and I've seen many big name rock bands.
Fuck this song is so absolute bad ass!!!!
this is it metal heads pure gold.
Brithish steel ...best album of Judas
CLASSIC! The end should be 20 minutes long!!!!!!!
A true masterpiece!!!
Dave Holland is on his game. Tipton, Downing and Hanford are the fuel.
Greatest band ever
