Music back then was something never to happen again. Vinyl certainly sounded better than anything. Blessed to be born in 1964. Right in time for the rise of ROCK !!! and the little bit of time disco was loved or hated. You were looked as a trator if you were caught listening to disco . Ah those were the greatest years ever !!

Went to a friend of a friends house in the big city , Tulsa , and heard this for the first time. HOLY SHT !!! Went to Starship recordc the next day and got the tape. Stayed in the player all summer long. I found my sound !!!

I remember Getting this LP in High school. I wasn't happy and heard before hand from a friend that Les Binks was no longer with the group. Then I heard Dave Holland's playing and drum sound. I was absolutely floored. Great drum sound and drumming. Great feel and groove to his playing. He was and is still my favorite Priest Drummer. RIP...Scott Travis does an insane job though. Cheers to him.

I grew up in the late 90s and early 2000s with Priest, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Riot, Fates Warning, Fastway, and many other classic metal bands being driven into my skull by my dad and older brothers. Now I'm a Progressive Death Metal fanatic, but I still love coming back to this shit every now and then to humble myself and take time to appreciate the golden age of metal music. May Priest never be forgotten.
I was in the fifth grade in 1975 and got to see Priest and Kiss together in Evansville, Indiana. It was an honor and memory that has lasted me a lifetime. Seen Priest 40 years later in 2015 and they still rule!
They put on the best show I ever seen in 1986 at Hara Arena in Dayton Ohio we drove 50 miles after school and drank a case of Little Kings on the way there
Exact same thing in Tulsa in 81 .... except in Oklahoma you could only get Little Kings at the liquor store unrefrigerated... needless to say couldn't wait for it get cold 😂 a case of warm beer in 45 minutes 😮

When the NWBHM arrived in America, I became a huge fan of bands like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, Motörhead. I also got into AC/DC and so.e of the classic British bands of the 60's and 70's such as Led Zeppelin, The Who Pink Floyd, and Black Sabbath.
Way to go Greg! Def Leppard IS the best band ever! They just have an awesomly unique sound that just cannot be duplicated or bested! I garandamntee that more people would attend a Def Leppard concert than a dated kiss concert.

Hell yeah. Dave Holland is a CLASSIC hard rock/heavy metal drummer. Vinnie Appice did *this* kind of drumming for Dio for a long ass time to great results, and people didn't seem to complain. Most people now days think of Painkiller, and Scott Travis's flashy playing first I guess. The hi-hat work on this track rules. There's swagger to Holland's playing, for sure.
He's the only drummer I've seen that holds the sticks above his head if a song doesn't require drums right away...other drummers are drinking fluids and stretching during the short break in their gig. This guy is a beast! He did this on purpose basically calling other drummers pussys

It was my 11th. Grade year in high school and I went out and bought the "British Steel" album in the Fall of 1980 not long after it was first released. I swear, I must've worn this album out on my stereo turntable because I had played it so much.
We've taken too much for granted
