@@mmodtomic7119 I've been to Bentonville once, but only got a day of riding before a season-ending injury. All I saw was flow trails and jump lines, but do they have a fair bit of tech and XC stuff, too? If so, I'd love to get back. I've never seen so many trails in one place, in riding distance of town!

@@joelhenderson3723 I rode enough tech in the '90s for the rest of my life in Moab and all there has been until recently near me in St. Louis is XC, but yes there's hundreds of miles of XC near B-ville and some tech though I only know of a few short hit trails.

@@mmodtomic7119 Cool! I know I'm in a minority, but jumps were never really my thing, and even less so after that trip and crash. I'd rather find ways to go faster on the ground, like working on my cornering, and learning to clean rock gardens. Or work on riding slow, difficult but low exposure features.
I live in the kcmo region, and similarly ride mostly xc. This summer, though, there is a bike park opening in st Joseph, and it's already shaping up to be pretty cool. I know there are jump lines ranging green to black, and I haven't seen it since fall, but have heard from others about the downhill oriented tracks that have been built.

I raced BMX in the 70s and a jump like Bobo's log haired friend above ended my career at the ripe old age of 12. While the tracks had carved dirt jumps, we built our own in vacant lots from random things (shopping carts a fave) and any piece of wood strong and long to lean up against it. Amazing we survived.
