Yes please make metal detecting videos! My dad and I used to do that when I was a kid, there's a photograph of me as a toddler holding my dad's hand as we metal detected down Talacre beach and on the back he wrote 'only 50 more miles to go'. I lost my dad in 2013 and I miss him and those days still.
We are full of history here mate, you should definitely come over to England and do some metal detecting around here and visit our historic landmarks. I went to school in Oliver Cromwells house (Hinchingbrooke School) and when they were developing the area into the school the found Monk concrete coffins that they preserved and kept on the site and under the floorboard of his house they found 2 dead Monks and preserved them where they lay in a glass coffin leaving the floorboards up so you can see them. Honestly wherever you go in England there’s always a historic story to be told. If you Google Hinchingbrooke House, Huntingdon you’ll probBly see the coffins and monks under the floor. Ha! Small world! I went to Hinchingbrooke School! I lived in Godmanchester before moving up to the Lake District last year! The coins I sent JT were found in Cambridgeshire. So much history underneath our feet down there! Not so much up here sadly! I lived in Brampton when I went to HBK school. I used to cycle up Nuns Bridge everyday! I thought that was a steep hill... I had no idea until I moved here 🤣🤣🤣
@@Treasurehuntingwithtomandmarie I was born in Brampton! Mandeville Road! That’s spooky as fuck that! Did you see JT’s video of miss pronounced Places? Godmanchester was on there and apparently the bloke said it’s pronounced “gundster” or something? I can’t believe that!

One of my favourite things about these videos is listening to JT trying to pronounce UK place names LOL. JT if you read this, please try to pronounce Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (it's a real place in Wales!) as a child in a Welsh school we were all taught how to say this place name!
@@Treasurehuntingwithtomandmarie i will do thanks i subed you just yesterday then saw you mentioned on here hope to do detectorvile some time in the future also.
You might like the light comedic TV drama series 'Detectorists'. It stars Mackenzie Crook (from Pirates of the Caribbean and the UK Office) and Toby Jones who has acted in seemingly pretty much every other film ever made. There's not many episodes but it's a really lovely, slow-paced show mostly about two chaps from a local detectoring group, with slow burn jokes and a thoroughly enjoyable atmosphere throughout.
We have clubs in the UK and have metal detecting days out in places that haven't been searched. If you visit check them out if you like metal detecting. So southern part is more popular for finds. But I've had many roman in the North. I used mine lab explorer xs model detector. Who doesn't like looking for treasure:)
We used to live in Cambridgeshire which was really rich for detecting finds. Since moving to the Lake District the finds have been less exciting but we occasionally make a good discovery!
Bombay Bad boy Pot Noodles are legendary,I remember when the first hit the shelves back in the early 00's and they were really hot,but I tried one from this year the other day and they've really toned down the spice levels which is a shame. Those Quavers Prawn Cocktail are sublime by the way. Good video,JT.
They are more common than you think in the uk, but quite rare in America 😆 I’ve probably found around 50 or so, most are in pretty rough condition but occasionally you find a good one :)
Mad to think the first coin was produced a little over 60 years after Columbus discovered America... discovered for Europeans anyway, obviously it was already inhabited! Love your show mate 👍
Hammer coins: when I was a kid, I went to a fair - I got to strike my own Viking-form silver coin. Well, I say strike, I was like 8 years old, the markings weren't very clear, lmao
JT, i was gonna say, DON'T GIVE THE SNAKE TOY TO THE DOGS. If they see a snake outdoors . They will asume it's a toy or a treat and will want to play with it. you know the outcome.JT please ask your Dad if you can film his reaction to both of the coins.Your reaction was priceless and i really hope that you start metal detecting again and ask your Dad to join in with you.
Thank you JT! Sounds silly but was feeling a bot down until I watched this video and was just smiling watching you unbox whats so familiar to us like the crisp (yes crisps) packets and smarties which are so nice
JT I'd love to see you do a metal detector video but in the meantime please do a reaction to any of the mud larking on the Thames videos. Basically they go down in the mud at low tide sometimes right in the centre of London & they find some crazy things.... Swords, guns (including a Nazi pistol) coins, jewellery, all kinds of old bottles and so much more inbetween including an artificial leg.
Just saw this and am a uk detectorist myself its really good to hear you like the hobby too and if you ever hit the uk let me know and i can get you on some digs
Bombay Bad Boy pot noodle is the dogs doo dahs. Fill to the line and add all the sauce. Sometimes I crunch the noodles into small pieces and fill well over the line to make a crackin' soup on a bitterly cold day and just drink it out the pot. Irn Bru isn't the same now they've fiddled with the sugar content but you can now get the original 1901 formula Irn Bru. It is also the best mixer you can get for vodka. The coins, now they are something special. Check out the river Thames mudlarks, Si finds and Nicola White, the stuff they find is unbelievable.
JT it looks like you might be having one of those dog treats after all 😂 Great video as always. Maybe if you start going metal detecting again you can put it out on your JT outdoors channel.
@@joeypriestman6783 yeah it’s gumster! Weird, I always referred to it as goddy which usually pissed off the older locals 😆 yeah small world!! I was in Brampton for about 20 years or so. Layton crescent just off horseshoes way
Glad you got parcel OK. Daisy is the one in the hat.
She was super cute with the hat on! 😊
How do I get on your mailing list 😂😂 so generous
JT needs to go on a ghost hunt
I'm sure I saw that bottle shaped building on most haunted..
Hey JT. I also live in Staffordshire. I live in a place called stoke on trent. 😊. I'm not from here though. (been here for 13 years in September) I was born in essex, (not far from London by train) and lived in Scotland for 10 years lol. Xx
JT, you are such a delight to watch. Thank you 😊
Yes you just squeeze small amount in glass of water with them Robinson’s they are very handy if out and about and grab some water and give a little squeeze of juice brilliant
I wanna get on Claire's Mailing List! How Generous!
Thanks
Wow what a gift those coins are superb dtuff
Me and my fella bought a metal detector just b4 lockdown as we love camping and woodland and beach walks. So we bout one used it once and never used it again. Totally forgot about it till u mentioned it. Thanks JT gonna look that bad boy out ❤❤❤❤
It’s a great hobby but you have to be very careful where you go as all the land is owned by someone except some beaches! If you do get permission on some good land it can be brilliant fun digging old coins up!
@@Treasurehuntingwithtomandmarie ye we defo gonna take it with us next time we take the caravan out plus our 4 Yr old is fascinated with it aswell so gonna be a family thing to do. Thanks and will subscribe to ur channel as been with JT since the start awell 🥰🥰
@@tracytabb2882 awesome! That sounds like great fun :) we enjoy camping but a caravan looks so much warmer in the cold weather 😆
You guys put a smile on my face. Im a scouser from Liverpool UK. Love you, Leanne xxxxx
Tell Anna you only need 1 or 2 squirts of the squash mixed in a glass of water. They are highly concentrated
Would be good to see a metal detecting video on JToutdoors
Yes!!! We agree :)
18:30 "I can't remember what it tastes like." I always say that Irn Bru tastes like orange. Not the fruit, but the colour.
One of my favourite things about these videos is listening to JT trying to pronounce UK place names LOL. JT if you read this, please try to pronounce Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (it's a real place in Wales!) as a child in a Welsh school we were all taught how to say this place name!
just started metal detecting myself in Scotland those coins are awesome i use a simplex plus but havent found any silver coins yet.
Keep going 😉 maybe start your own channel? Good luck have fun.
I started with the simplex! It’s a phenomenal machine for the money! Let me know how you do!!
@@Treasurehuntingwithtomandmarie i will do thanks i subed you just yesterday then saw you mentioned on here hope to do detectorvile some time in the future also.
@@carrieellis8847 cool! I might see you down there in the future :) as M carter said, keep going and the good finds will come!
Amazing love that you are so enthusiastic JT you make me happy thank you for this clip
Got to love Bedlingtons 🐶🐾🐾 once you’ve had one, no other dog will do …. 😂
Film your dad’s reaction to the coins
The best part about you saying Annas mum could have them, The advert in the uk was always, Terrys chocolate orange - "It's not Terrys! It's mine"
Roman coins are found a lot in the uk so dont panic to much lol
They are more common than you think in the uk, but quite rare in America 😆 I’ve probably found around 50 or so, most are in pretty rough condition but occasionally you find a good one :)
Fab video JT and Anna , love you guys ♥♥♥♥
I got a coin with Caligula on it
And fun fact Constantine the great became emperor of Rome while he was in york (in Britain)
That’s a really cool fact! I didn’t know that!
Mad to think the first coin was produced a little over 60 years after Columbus discovered America... discovered for Europeans anyway, obviously it was already inhabited! Love your show mate 👍
Aww yay, so glad you have opened your PO box again, and those coins! Omg 😲😲😲
Hammer coins: when I was a kid, I went to a fair - I got to strike my own Viking-form silver coin. Well, I say strike, I was like 8 years old, the markings weren't very clear, lmao
Good morning. Have a great Easter weekend .🎉
Subbed to Tom and Marie`s channel tonight.
Thank you so much!
Please film your dad's reaction, when you show him the coins, it would be priceless
It's not donor kebab 😂 think Don, like Don ye but Don her don-er 😆 I used to think it was an epephants leg on a vertical rotisserie 😂🤣
Looks like the £5 coin, I collect them also have the ruppert the bear silver bullion bars, gold Diane coins
Just saw this and am a uk detectorist myself its really good to hear you like the hobby too and if you ever hit the uk let me know and i can get you on some digs
Brilliant box opening with the supa surprises 👍🏻
Ooh I live in Essex too.
Have a happy Easter 🐣 to you both
Bombay Bad Boy pot noodle is the dogs doo dahs.
Loving the coins! I'll have to send you some as well ;)
Check out the show "The Detectorists"
JT it looks like you might be having one of those dog treats after all 😂 Great video as always. Maybe if you start going metal detecting again you can put it out on your JT outdoors channel. And Anna, you are looking even more beautiful than usual x when is JT going to make an honest woman of you?? We all want an invite to the wedding 😉 💕
Can't wait to see you eating the snacks..loved the coins my sister lives in a building constructed in 1603 the date that Elizabeth 1st died. I wish she could find some treasure in and around it.
I enjoyed watching that one. Thanks JT! 😎😎
