Your excitement is contagious. I especially love the Liberty Cap / French Revolution coin. The "year 2" (or 5) gives you a sense of what the mood was like among the people in post-revolutionary France. What a great piece of history!

Been watching Clem or Chill Bill for years now. He finds amazing relics and has a vast knowledge ranging back to the Roman era. I highly suggest following him. Not only does he always have great finds but he always leaves me with a smile! He Brad and the Aqua Chigger are probably the best!!

Europe is amazing. In high school we took buses an trains every where. Paris London Chex Republic Poland Austria. While my dad was stationed there he did a lot of genealogy an we went to Luxembourg an Liechtenstein among other places an met relatives.

Wow!! What an amazing haul for your first dig in France. I often watch UK/Euro hunts and am in awe of the history at their feet, in Australia we only have just over a few centuries of currency and metal relics to find. Happy hunting and looking forward to the rest of this trip.

This is fantastic guys !!! 1600s, maybe 1500's coins, that's insane. I have been metal detecting 10 years in colonial New England and have many 1700's coins, but ZERO 1600's coins and you guys find many in 2 hours. What an amazing spot to detect, I look forward to the rest of this series, as I'm a fan of both of you guys.
We have more history in europe....but im in the UK,my oldest silver coin is 32BC...1700 coins are still modern to us,we look for Roman to medieval....100ad to 1500 at the latest.....Georgian 1600to early 1800 are always found,a few every trip,sick of finding them,i have a tin full lol
