Huge shout out to www.ducatiusa.com for sending this bike over for me to try out. I gotta say I'm pretty damn impressed with what this bike can do while being very comfortable at the same time. First time off roading and riding an adventure bike was a success! What do you guys think of the multistrada?
That pull at 2:35 followed by its like a flying couch, I’m sold.
This would be better direction to go with the channel than the R8
Do other reviews it is fun to watch and I like your review style 👍👍👍with bike build
I ride a 2017 multi 950 and the performance is incredible, definitely a versatile ride.
Thanks for the vid dude! I've been riding motorcycles since the 1970s as a little kid. Raced motocross for a little while when I was young. Got into the whole Harley thing for years and years. Eventually got married, after which each new Harley got bigger and bigger because she wanted to be comfortable. Then I started realizing over the last couple of years I was only riding a handful of times each summer...I realized I didn't really care for hauling a 900 pound land-barge out of the garage each time I wanted to ride. Then last year in February, for shits-n-giggles, I stopped by the local shop that sells the big-four Japanese brands and some Euro brands. Was poking around when I came around a corner and saw the 2017 Multistrada 950 staring at me, and it was an "ah-ha!!!" moment where I instantly knew that was going to be my next bike. And it is...it is the absolutely perfect bike for me. Wicked fast, insanely tight handling, really can go anywhere (okay, well lite off-roading), and brilliant Italian build quality. I put on nearly 8,000 miles in first 12 months of owning it.
Yes similar story, and the 950 got me addicted to riding again and playing in the trails. 10k in 8 months riding in winter also.
For years, I just didn't get adventure bikes. I simply discounted them as being butt-ugly. As I grew up over the years, I began to see the light. I had dreamed of riding to Alaska for years, and it soon became apparent that an adventure bike was THE choice. In 2014, I made the trip including a ride up the Dalton Hwy to the Arctic Ocean. Since then, I have taken a trip every summer which usually includes some amount of unpaved roads along the way. I still use a cruiser and a sportbike for most of my local riding, but an adventure bike will always have a place in my garage from here on. They open up so many more possibilities for travel and allow you to see and experience things that you would miss by sticking to the paved roads everywhere.
I have a Multistada 1260S and driving it everyday to work (75 km/46 miles) Very powerful bike, super comfortable, have driven the 950S and you feel the difference in power and handling between the two bikes. 1260S is even bigger dan the 950S but for a big guy perfect. I'm 1,99 m tall (6.5)
Honestly dude, top two bikes so far in your channel. This bike (not the bigger brother) is almost the perfect bike plus if you can afford it add a Dieval to the garage and you have all the bases covered for many long years to come. Wait until you hit 40, you'll see. Another cool video, thank you man
I have it in red color and ride it to work weekdays and I take it for long trips with my son and wife. I love it. 950S can take me everywhere.
Rest easy Carlin, Will always think of him when i see a Multistrada. Those are badass bikes for sure, i'd rock one!
Yeah I agree man. Still miss him everyday.
I'm just 16 an I can't wait until i can start to ride
Gave up hardcore sport bikes and got the Multistrada 1260S and could not be happier, you can rip on rough canyons in complete comfort!
Buy one Jaret trust me man you won't go wrong with it especially if you wanna chill ride or cruise with some occasional speed cornering man!!!!! I got a 2015 1200 Touring S but you gotta get the 1260 Grand Tour man!!!!!!!
I love adventure bike videos. To me its more exciting to watch
I had a Multistrada 1260S and absolutely loved it.
The best bike...
Lindas essa multistrada, ficou perfeita...

picture quality is super awesome ... lovely review .... Keep it going JAret .... :-))
thank you so much glad you enjoyed it!
I know the feeling with changing to a adventure tourer. I have have CBR's 600 1000 and GSXR 750 1000's. Redline to redljne. Test rode a 2012 Ducati Multistrata Pikes Peak and never looked back. Now riding a 2017 Multistrata 1200s great for long rides and playing in the GA Mountains at and above highway speeds for sure try the 1200. Go through all the modes. Make a TH-cam video on this challenge your ride.
You did great you didn't wreck or drop it... You just aren't use to it is all... You saw some of the beautiful views you can get to when you get off the pavement... Thanks to your friend for leading you... Beautiful... Each bike to me has its own beauty... Much love.... Stay healthy....
One of the best ways to get better at your riding is never to be intimidated by any bike nor terrain.
Off-roading is cool... wait till u try it on the GS and U know it’s another world entirely. Nice 👍 video as always
Thinking of getting the2021 Ducati 950S for 70% sealed road, 30% gravel roads. Enjoyed watching your vid, a bit of fun for you, not a regular gravel rider. In NZ some gravel roads worst, most better. Seems the Multistrada can handle gravel roads well, then cruise out with style and comfort on the seal. With all the refinement of quick shifter, cruise control, heated grips and a smooth fast ride, what's not to like about this bike. Fine looking bike as well. Thanks for the vid.
I have a 2017 1200S; it’s a sport bike at it’s heart, and comfortable to ride. I never bought it the intention of going off road; I stick to the twisties and have a blast!
I was not expecting to see a multistrada on this channel ,I guess that's why I clicked so fast 🤭.
haha glad to bring you something different!
I’ve been hoping Ducati would lend you one of those to test! I take mine out on roads like that, even rougher dirt-trails, at least 5 days a week. Never thought I’d want an adventure bike until I bought 800-acres of mountain farm land that backs up against Los Padres National forest about 30 miles from my home a couple years ago and needed something to get not just to-from the farm, but out on the farm and national forest once I had to leave the pavement. Once I figured out how to ride the dang thing, I started craving increasing levels of difficulty in the dirt and I couldn’t be happier with the Multi. I’ve taken out my friends’ KTM 790 and BMW 1250GS ADV bikes and definitely prefer the Multi. The KTM and BMW both feel a little more stable in the dirt, although I can go anywhere they can on the Multi, but once I hit the paved canyon twisties and the freeways I find the Multi far more engaging and fun. I’ve also been able to take it out at Willow Springs and Buttonwillow and its a hoot - leans over real well for what it is. If you ever get the urge to spend more time in the dirt on a 500+ lb ADV bike, I found one of the best things in terms of developing comfort out there is to just drop the thing a few times. I’ve never planned on dropping it, but when you are in the dirt its gonna happen. Once you master picking those things back up and know dropping it aint gonna hurt it, or you (assuming proper gear, especially boots), its all uphill from there! Anyway, great vid - stoked to see you finally got to take one out.
In the British Army we used to ride Armstrong 500cc dirt bikes when we are an air mobile brigade. Between three of us we carried a broken down Milan Missile anti tank missile system, two missiles and a Milan infra red adapter. You didn't drop it you just jumped of it when you came to a stop. Getting them into a Chinook Helicopter was painful because you had to turn them around inside of it... And i wonder why my knees hips and back are in poor shape at 50!!!!
get a lil drz 400 with knobbies for some off-road practicing, or a dr650 if you can handle the extra weight
great bike i would love one myself exact model but with touring and comfort package and enduro package
I just bought one and I frickn love it
Jimmy; I'm looking very hard at this 950s model, is there anything bad or dislikes experience you can share with me? Thank you.
@@lpete531 Best all rounder ever. I put 12k miles on mine in one year. All day 8 hour rides are a breeze. I even do track days on this bike. Btw I prefer the 950 over the 1260 just on heat alone. It runs cooler and I'm in Texas. There was a long term 50K test done on this bike by an Italian magazine. They disassembled the engine after and found less wear than Yamaha. Pretty impressive bike.
@@trakdoc9528 awesome 👍, I just pick mine up Wednesday, I also live in Texas. I absolutely love it!! Getting used to the preferred gearing that keeps the bike happy, it's a little different. The seat is so Damm comfortable, and I experienced no heat issue like it's big brother. I been riding and practicing in this 103 heat, and love it! Thanks for reply, be safe 🙏🏽
This bike is badass, I had a 1200 Multistrada Enduro, great bike, very capable off-road but not for beginners due to its weight
i have the 1200 and is amassing
I had the 1200 Multistrada Enduro. Thing ripped and carried all my camping gear. You would like the new 1260 street only version
The "street only" version is also very good for gravel roads!
Looking forward to seeing the V2.
me too can't wait to see how it feels compared to the 959
You’ve written one of the best bikes on the planet! 👍🇺🇸😎
Rides down a nicely graded dirt road. Yeah we went off-roading today. Kids.
Jared wait until you get to ride the 1260 Pikes Peaks or the 1200S it’s going to blow your mind... it has 47 more HP.
got mine same color cape town a beast of a bike
Nice vid man, looks like a real nice comfortable bike as well. We need to see more of Rob's bike that thing looks awesome.
You should definitely learn and experience tourers and adventure bikes abit more. Could then do a build arround this type of bike. It would give a broader spectrum for more viewers to not only view your channel but to take part in your give aways. As nice as super sports and super nakeds are theres so many people that I believe prefer other bike types. Great video as always :)
Yeah we'll see how the views do...so far there hasn't been a ton of outcry for this type or content so I don't think it would do very well with a build series and I'm not a huge fan myself to be honest.
@@JaretCampisi honest and to the point. Thanks for the reply :)
Wish I could "like" this video 1000 times! I also gotta find that trail, is it legal to ride there? I haven't gone trail riding in decades, but that trail makes me want to get an off-road bike.
Fun video. The muiltstrida is with out a doubt a do everything motorcycle. And looks comfortable. With street tires it would be an amazing long distance bike. 34 is not old. You're just now broken in. Gray is human pin stripping. Please do more videos with this bike. Doesn't have to be dirt.
Your reviews are a lot of fun. I really enjoy them. You definitely have a knack for them.
Just purchased this bike!
Enjoy your ride and take care of your health
Jaret you need to make a build with the 1260 pikes peak version
Do more off roading if it is something you aren't comfortable with, it definitely makes for better content! Another idea to buy a cheaper bike to build, but do it yourself and learn so others learn with you
Looks cool! Another bike you and your viewers might enjoy is the Indian FTR 1200 .. inspired by the American Flat Track Race where the Indian kicked ass on the podium.
Man, those different modes look so nice. I have 2016 cbr and I'd love to have only 80hp sometimes and just relax
haha yeah pretty much all of the new ducati's have modes like these now.
Nice! Can you find some "faster" gravel roads? It would be easier and more fun to transition from street riding to off road on smoother gravel roads. Just relax your arms and let it rip!
Yeah I would much prefer that to what we did here...was a bit too intense for my first time
Gunna buy one for sure! Thanks for the review
Jaret, you know I have an XDS, but I have ridden both the Multi 1200S and new 1260S. The 1260S goes like the XDiavel but way more comfort. I would never take it off road though. It’s still a Ducati and all about performance. The BMW GS is much more capable for off road.
Can’t wait to see the new Multistrada V4S reviews.
Try to do a review of the ducati monster
IF I EVER WIN YOUR LOTTERY , THIS IS THE BIKE I WOULD ASK FROM U .. IN THE MEAN TIME KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ..
Wanna see you on a 450-MX bike, do a track day at Glen Helen !!!
Should definitely do an all guns shooting day
agreed!
Dirt Bikes will keep your reaction times sharp, dont under estimate a 450 MX bike!! Sick power everywhere!!
I going to get one pretty soon
A great bike, I have had a couple and they are superb.
Jaret, if you had to downsize to 1 bike, could you see yourself picking this 950 as your all arounder?
Fun video. Dude...you might be on to something....I watch a lot of Adventure Bike reviews and honestly, the ones I like are the guys in UK...meaning you'd probably get a lot of views if you did some reviews on ADV bikes....BMW 1250GS...KTM SAS....
Which one? Ducati Multistrada 950 or 2021 Yamaha Tracer 900? And why?
FINALLY!!!! NOW BUY ONE YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!
Try a 2020 Africa twin adventure sports.
In my opinion if you could only have one bike the adventure is the way to go I have the 1200 tiger I love it
Nice video!
Now you’re talking bro. This is a lot more interesting than road riding. Ducati, KTM and BMW make adventure bikes which are great fun on and off road.
Is it nice for a starter bike.
Which tires knobby are these on the 950?
Not my type of bike, but looks good, great video
Bro do the Hypermotard 950 next. Its way better fit for offroading and aggressive riding.
nice bike
Check out LONG WAY ROUND and LONG WAY DOWN with Ewan mcgregor and Charley boorman. Taking the BMW GS ADVENTURES off road.
Hi bro nice stuff as always it's a great bike 🖤🤠👍
I was waiting for the video like that, You've made my day with it, I am planning on getting an adventure bike and so far Multistrada is my favorite one so great job & Thank you !!
Hell yeah they are great bikes man glad you enjoyed the video!
That was cool. Nice bikes. I have a Harley Davidson Road King. KEN
Hey Jaret, i love it. You on a 950s!!!! You're right is the perfect balans between power and handling. I know it's weird for you, but it is flawless. Maybe you're too young for this yet, but hey, You'll get there someday, somehow.... (I'm 62 and love this bike, do like 25000km a year)
MotoX is where it’s at 😂🤙👏
nice. enjoyed this video. a little bit different but great. i hope u go riding together with christina soon.
Was your friend on a grom with knobs?
you should do more off-road bules
Cool video 😎
My dream bike!
Lol this is such an old man bike. The only thing you're missing is a bright neon green jumpsuit with an insane number of reflector strips lol.
Without Christina his videos is really incomplete
So in my opinion, dirt bikes are for dirt. Street bikes are for street. Anything between you are really compromising performance. You can make a 450cc dirt bike street legal pretty easily, and still have a perfect dirt setup. And street bikes are already optimized for street use. The big touring bikes are super heavy, which is not good for on or off road use. The smaller touring bikes, like the WR250R or CRF250L are very slow for the street, but pretty good off road. Idk I would jist have one bike for off road and one bike for on road.
And a 4 wheel vehicle and a trailer to take your dirtbike to the dirt roads? I think big adv bikes are perfect for fast back roads and gravel roads! You don't even need knobbies on hard packed dirt roads.
Hey wuld suggest just try BMW Gs1250 one time
Nice bike!👍
Is this bike automatic?
I have the 1260 Enduro version. You thought that bike was fun, you have to ride the 1260. You won't be able to quit smiling!
Pretty impressed with that merge into the highway 😂
This thing has some power for sure!
Great bike
"Yeah, you look hilarious on it". . . says the big guy scrunched up on a little, stripped street bike with knobbie tires. ..lol!
Could be great to see a street legal Ducati ATV or just a link to a web site.
I seen a home build one that is not street legal.
Riding this bike is definitely others skills to have..especially a Ducati expensive one...not really well fully protected in case of stones projection.
The highlight of this video "6 pack of beers" 😂 Hope you will have a future build with adventure bikes
>it's a HIGH bike guys
>I'm 5'10"
king of the manlets kek
The 1250 is the best Multi, moving down from a GSA next time😀
Always liked the Multistradas, and you did well off road Jaret 👍🏼
Good for you for stepping out of your comfort zone! Now you need to try the Multistrada Enduro 1260! You'll love the power on that.
That is the one drawback of adventure bikes. They are tall. But they need to be tall to go off road.
The same feeling when I changed from sportbike to adventure bike. LOL
You think a 6 foot, 230 pound person would be confortable on this bike? Been seriously contemplating this bike. I need a more comfortable bike.
Finally done offroading
My Himalayan goes like butter in such roads
