- I just finished building the Modular Game Table by Wyrmwood. This table is the War-gaming black walnut wood with counter height legs. I hope you guys enjoy this short build video, in real life it took about 2 hours of build time, a bit longer if you consider unboxing and taking the boxes out.

I was wave 0. Have had my table for about 1.5 years now. Went with a small Cherry. I recall also missing some parts on arrival. I probably take off and put on the topper weekly. Overall still looks good and is working great. Currently have Oathsworn setup in the vault.

@@Phlanx06 Yep, plenty. Since I got a small, when I use the vault I added 2 Player Desks to provide more space. Also added Large Cup Holder, and a few component organizers.
How do you like the player desks. Does it work well enough for a DM to use just that? The only issue we had so far is the DM having a bit of an awkward time with the DM screen in the fault

Hi, thanks for the video. What size is your table? I see Wyrmwood has their kickstarter for the 3.0 right now and I’m trying to decide if I should get the wider medium size table. They are offering bundle sales with the standard width only, so I’m on the fence. I don’t play war games but have bigger games like Foundations of Rome and Western Legends so I think the extra play space would be good. Is it a comfortable reach? Any tips or suggestions for a first-timer buying a table from Wrymwood? Thanks!
Thanks for watching. So I'm 6 foot tall and I can reach the other side of my wargaming size table (I'm a gen 1 MGT backer) just barely so if your shorter than that it might be hard to reach the other side.
I suggest trying to get a table that fits your space and what you think you would use the most. For myself I play a lot of campaign games and rpgs (if you see my other videos you'll see why) so having a very large vault is important to me because I utilize this space all the time. I rarely Don't have a game going in the table and play on top of the table when playing smaller games with friends and family.
Also an important thing to remember is this purchase is an investment, I expect I will keep this table for the rest of my life and I'll give it to my kid one day because that's how great of a quality table this is. So the upfront price is high but IMO this investment will easily pay off (so far it has)

How about a six month review on use not product. What works well, what is cumbersome, what accessories do you wish you had or dont use etc. Lots of reviews on the table but very few on the experience of using it.

its not actually square since it has bevels and cuts in on the inside but its about 3.5 inch wide. sorry for the delay

Just finished it yesterday so we'll see. It's pretty cool so far. It's significantly bigger than our last table so that's great. We are just trying to make sure our 4 year old doesn't ruin it lol
I play Games Workshop AOS and am concerned about the durability of the vault. How sturdy is the vault as it seems to have no supports?
It just has wooden dowels that supports the plywood. The vault will flex but it still seems to support alot of weight. We play star wars legion and have no issues.
Also I heard wyrmwood was coming out with a support retrofit for the tables for people that are concerned.

How much is it to buy without any extras ( just the boards to make it an ordinary table)
Depends on the wood you choose and the size table you want. For example I originally ordered the wargaming expresso maple table and it was going to cost almost $1800 +shipping (for me $600)
When the Expresso maple tables started to show up as black tables and nothing like they promised I begrudgingly changed to black walnut which jumped the cost to about $4500 +shipping

Did you have any issues with the vault or topper having excessive flexing or warping. Also is it hard to reach the center of the table?
Excessive, no. One of my toppers is a little warped but it's only really bad when it's very cold, otherwise no problems. I am 6 foot tall so no problem for me, a little harder for short people though
Thanks for the info trying to decide on the 44” vrs the 57” wide and would be happy to hear any thoughts on the wider table
@@stevenpeterson580 do whatever fits best for your space. For us we wanted the wide wargaming size because we had more room that way then in length so it's a perfect size for us but maybe your space in your home is different.
@@Phlanx06 I have the space for the wider table. But don’t typically play massive war games do you find that the extra width is cumbersome for standard board games.
Not really, I like the extra space, but I usually play big games that take up a lot of space. I'll post a picture of Tanares Adventures in the vault right now in my community tab so you can see it.
Sounds like a lack of quality control with the components. Disappointing.
Agreed, and their own production status report shows this with the amount of craftsmans promise issues have been increasing since June
