You are right, I played once since the patch, struggled my way through a nightmare dungeon i was previously ripping through with my well built barbarian. These nerfs are garbage.
I leveled rogue on Eternal and last night played Grim Dawn and Wo Long. Solidarity with my barb and sorc brothers and sisters ✊

I feel you. Thats why i'm glad I main rogue and Druid. My Druid didnt feel so bad, so I'm trying out rogue after watching this video.
My rogue is tearing 10 levels above me, lol. I'm on nightmare 3. So God damn easy. Everything just dies without effort. Killed the world boss on nightmare 2.

@bipolarexpress9827 I help killed the world boss on t2. Gotta help them noobs. I'm currently t4 now. Level 91. Regretting not rolling a necromancer, they're running level 80 nightmare dungeons nonstop.
I am pure casual on Necro - have no real idea what I'm doing but following a build guide - completely destroying content, have not yet found anything difficult boss fights are over in seconds. Despite this it is pretty boring and I'm not really sure why I will continue.
Barbarian is very bad in Diablo 4, REALLY BAD.
And the next 1.1.1 patch just proven that they didnt think Barb is in bad position in the first place.
no man speak ur mind. i am at a sucky place. i play on eternal relms with my real life friends. they are casuals. i have 88 druid 81 barb and a 80 necro. after nerfs game feels crappy. i might play season in season 2.

All by design. It’s fine because word of mouth travels fast in 2023. Ask anheuser-Busch what happens when you ignore your customers. Yeah, shareholders made a quick buck. The game has an impressive framework so in the end it’s disappointing. I’ll definitely come back but if they double down, they will be begging their shareholders not to sell.

Did I miss an announcement that Malignant hearts won't drop until after you complete the campaign OR skip it? Why the hell would they lock the seasonal mechanic behind completing the campaign? I'm going to be 2 or 3 weeks into the season before I can use the Seasonal mechanic or I have to start another character from scratch.
My favorite type of games are arpgs and I hate to say I’ve seen this coming. The longer this season goes the more people will realize it’s not good. Lack of QOL and balance (which blizzard dose suck at) is just some of the reasons. I paid $90 for the game and I chose to sit out season 1 because I value my time.
I uninstalled because I’m actually done. Blizzard can’t go around halving eternal realm character stats just to get people to start a new character in season. That is messed up and manipulative.
That's just... game design? Imagine if they stacked the season mechanics on the top of bloated stats numbers. They want the absolute power of characters to stay at an plateu defined by them.
And they said the focus was on the seasons from the start. Pay attention to what tou buy...😢
After 250 hours in D4 I'm back to PoE next week ( PC players can start earlier with new league tomorrow). And don't worry - Rogues and Necro will be balanced to "F" tier next season.
Theres a wrathfull heart for necro that gives 40%× damage per crowd control on an enemy, plus 126%× on bosses! Its nuts.
and its just some stupid item they added to the game for no reason. like honestly. this is so bad. its literally just a stupid socketed item as if we havent had 400 socketed items introduced since d3 and now have less inventory space trying to keep track of all of these stupid items or have to learn a 30 minute crafting process just to get rid of them. i absolutely hate this game right now, im going back to elden ring.
I feel like not only is this new season horribly balanced for classes it's just awful all around. The Malignant questline is super boring and feels like a sidequest and you can't even delve more than a mission or two in without being interrupted and told to do chores in the form of the season journey pages. Nothing feels new, the slotting of malignant hearts feels beyond arbitrary, not only did they make them all different they also made them only slottable into jewelry that has the specific slots for them which was unnecessary. I don't even want to play with these new updates either on a new or old character. I hit level 30 necro in the new season and it's fine I guess, but my old level 60 druid I had fun with once I'd gotten to level 50 (because early game druid is terrible) I can't even enjoy anymore because the nerfs make him feel like he's level 10 again.
I just don't feel like anything new worth replaying the same shit side missions and the same 5-6 types of dungeons over and over again was added and theres no real drive to play other than to experience a new class which you could've done fine if not better before the shit ass pre update patch. TLDR the season sucks and I'm not really happy about it.
I gave up on my barb weeks ago. Logged into my druid after the patch and ran a Legion event to see how it felt. I then uninstalled the game. I'll check back in a year or so
Vile Apothecary is a decent heart but no reason to use it when Barber blows up the whole screen
I've thoroughly enjoyed playing the main story, but quickly was getting worried about the lack of end game content.
I was looking forward to season 1, hoping it would make the game interesting again, but few hour into season 1 made me completely burnt out on D4 all together. It felt like a chore, not a game.
The fact that D4 feels like as much as a single player game as D1 didn't help either
elden isometric, now without all the good bits.
No dungeon finder is the most stupid thing when there’s over 100 dungeons and they market the game as social.

I wanted to play minion necro... But honestly I just might play a broken build so I can have fun with the game again. And the camera being so close is actually making me nauseous for some reason
Been playing rapid fire for last 3 weeks, just like it. The devs are morons when it comes to balance.
This is why overwatch 2 failed.... They can't do skill tree balance....
I tried building what I wanted in a Sorcer when Season 1 came out. Basically a Sorc w/all fire abilities. Its horrible! I quit playing to try PoE. Never played it, looking forward to it.
I tried that, got to level 24 as all fire sorc and couldnt do any damage to a quest boss at all.
I haven’t logged in since patch 1.1
I saw the direction the wind was blowing and I went back to PoE. Best gaming decision I’ve ever made.
Rogues get a heart that applies all their imbuments. Sorcs get one that add…..resistances. Yup, I made the right choice in abandoning this nostalgia bait garbage.
I truly belive some of the blizz devs are morons... dont think rogue and necros are op, they are where all classes should be so we all have fun ! So glad i stopped wasting my time 3 weeks ago
Rogues did get nerfed. I dont know why you kept saying no nerfs and left untouched. We lost tonnes of crit, vun. Crosbows went from 60 vun to 21. Syphoning strikes got hit hard ( like 75%+ reduction). Rogues dropped like 30 to 40% its just other classes got hit by 50%+. The issue is not rogues its blizzard.
Of note i also had lvl 90+ sorc and barb which i do admit got hit harder than my rogue.
End result i uninstalled and will see if better by s2.

This is funny i main a necromancer for 200 hours & leveling was super slow. So i picked a rogue because i wanted to zoom zoom through the season. After watching this video and you mentioned that broken rogue heart. I’m kinda happy i picked it
I thought i misunderstood about map and other things carrying over to the season because when i started the season nothing is there for me.
One of many conplaints for me: i started a new druid for the season and at level 5 i get a heart drop that only works when an ultimate skill is active 🙄 i cant even use that for hiw many levels??! Now i keep getting them and they are taking up space because they don't even stack!
I’ve been playing Druid season 1 and it’s been absolutely horrible. I keep having to switch builds because nothing feels good or I don’t do enough damage to clear higher dungeons. I see all of these meta builds online and I wanted to do my own builds but nothing works.
Was all the renown meant to carry over?
I thought it was only the statues and the exploration of the map (fow)?
I eternal realm sorc got nerfed to the shadow realm to the point where i have to switch up the build completely so that character is dead now, thanks blizzard. Started season 1 with druid, and its an absolute slog since bliz drained the dog piss out of everything except nm dungeons and malignant. Its taken me almost twice as long to get half as far as pre patch eternal realm is what if feels like and thats not a good feeling at all.
Rogue did get nerfed, but since everything got nerfed they still stay on top 😂
Necros were touched though, they got nerfed a lot
playing barb it sucks so horribly.. Not having fun at all. Cool downs are horrible, skills do no dmg, the hearts we got none of them were good offensive to counteract all the nerfs. Running around like a headless chicken waiting for my shouts... Im pretty much done as well at this point
They literally turned this game into garbage over night. I was really digging this game too. I'm so bummed out I don't even care what they have to say in their little campfire chat.

Already stopped playing at lvl 22 in season 1 they have killed there own game! Ive spent 351hrs in game till now ,the game feels sluggish enemys are hp sponges im done!

I have 700+ hours into Barb alone since the main release of the game. This patch and season is just terrible. Imo it feels like as a Barb I’m playing an entire World Tier higher than I actually am. The nerfs are that bad. Just made it to level 60 and it hasn’t been fun whatsoever I’m pretty sure I’m done. Ugh

What I do not understand is why they think they are balancing the game by simply reducing stats that is universal to all, like, cutting vulnerable damage will not make Barbarians any more balanced towards other characters, Barbarian will be just as bad as before compared to every other character. They must have several balancing teams as you say and the Rogue team just wants the class to be fun while the team for Barbarian want the game to be a hard challenge. I think their overall developement team is lazy for not forcing the balancing teams work on all classes at once, you can not have teams that are not looking for the same goal.. It is sad that streamers know all the details about most classes but developers only know what ''their'' class is capable of.
I'm finishing my battlepass since I activated it then I'm prolly done till season 2. And I'm playin rogue, so to me I don't feel weaker but my problem is the season itself... it's just very mediocre at best. The malignant hearts are basically just jewelery only powers so pretty much just 3 more legendary powers and the mechanic is just dumb killing mobs then they respawn. Just feels really meh, the end boss is cool but other than that very boring season. Hopefully season 2 is much more interesting.

I’ve run with a couple buddies who both main the rogue. No matter what I did on any other toon, I couldn’t touch their damage. I don’t really have a problem with it, it’s a rogue after all. I just feel like the Barbarian I was using with them lost survivability, and damage all of a sudden. Maybe I just need to get good, who knows.
The game is 'play however you want to play... unless you want to be good then play exactly like this'
Necromancer did get nerfed it got nerfed by half now the other classes did get nerfed druid didn't get nerfed barb extremely and sorc is unplayable
Playing a Druid, stopped at level 27 after my inventory was filled with useless Malignant Hearts and gems. The game is a cooldown. Everything in the game is a cooldown. No quality of life, no social features. It's not fun at all. Show them how you feel - STOP LOGGING IN!
I started a necromancer and played a druid before. Was thinking about changing to a hardcore sorc just to see how bad it is.

They're horrible and balancing, I realized it the first day of playing the game. Vulnerable is so broken and they can't balance towards diversified builds because vulnerable is such a horrible design choice. Now everybody runs 1, or maybe 2 builds per class. You could build for something else, but then you can't really play the game. Devs themselves have acknowledged this problem several times and *a fix is being worked on* because it's Diablo4. My point is, how in the flying fudgenuggets did vulnerable get past the design/brainstorming phase? If they have any spent a meager amount of effort into understanding what they are doing this shouldn't have survived the first hour after it enters into anyone's mind. Devs don't understand how to design ARPG. If I look past the design choices it's not a bad game, but they just have no idea what they're doing. And it would've been great fun to watch them fumble with their dickshaped heads if I hadn't paid 70 bucks for the trash.

D4, not worth it for now.... needs to grow and they need to learn with Diablo III, for now i feel that i "burn" my money ....
Only played Diablo 1, DII, and D2R because they weren't pay-to-win. I really wanted to try D3 & D4. But I refuse to invest my time in a video game that rewards people who mismanage their money IRL.
I havent even started a season yet due to all the BS from the past few months alone. Thanks for the heads up tho. Gonna delete this game til the hackers come up with some cheats to balance out all the shitty nerfs.
perfect balance with so many variables is imposible, each season different classes will be top dogs, the first necro to hit 100 preseason was well down the list, of mostly Barb names. all Classes are playable, just some will be faster than others and this will change over time. why compare yourself in the race with the other classes when you know its not balanced. if youd gotten first Barb people would of still regonised that as being amazing even if 15th out of the total. It was a shame they didn't have class leaderboards in place for season 1
no rogue is completely BROKEN. there's ZERO balance when talking about rogues. absolutely none.they're literally a cheat code man lol. they make pvp completely lame as hell cause they just melt everything. poison literally a delete everything button. there's nothing top dog about rogue. its just pure nonsense. I don't get how they look at rogue and then nerf sorc lol these developers are very bad at what they do.
This is bad as a Diablo noob. I want to give this game a chance; but knowing that developers are rigging the game specifically to make it take longer to lvl up battle pass lvls really irritates me. I have other games to play and the fomo kinda ruins this. They are trying to make you marry the dam game. The only game that came close to doing that was all the Dooms. I never had fomo because I knew I could take days off and not wonder if I was gonna not get specific skins. If the hardcore players are complaining than that would only make things worse for noobs like me.
You’re not missing out on much at all. Have you ever tried the remastered Diablo 2? Incredible fun with great longevity.

thats interesting in terms of a race i would give it to Rogue but in terms of raw power and overall kit the druid is hella overtuned. why mans have skills from multiple different classes and why is it strong enough to clear things in half or 1/3rd of the time as other classes. in regards to end game content. but in a race i get it

You'd have to be huffing and breathing in a pure copium environment to think a Blizzard game that is guaranteed to be inferior to Path of Exile with guaranteed battlepass, after Diablo Immortal, to think this game would actually be good lmao. it just isn't even fun. i've played diablo since the first ever Diablo was made. this game just isnt fun anymore. wow. i click on this guy, a tornado flies out of me, he dies. wow. really cool. you'd think they'd expand on this AT ALL in the last 20 years but no. same thing, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. i thought the seasons would add fresh stuff each month or so, nope. just adds a new annoying item that takes up inventory space and now you have to farm for it because its just *stronger* than every other item that's already in the game. its absolutely boring, worse than boring it is generally annoying to play at this point. no, blizzard, we are tired of "slay 4 monsters" "collect 3 hearts" we are literally so tired of it. stop doing it. stop it for the love of fucking god stop making this shit.

I agree. My Necro got nerfed and Crit plus Vulnerable across the board. What is this dude talking about? Necro was hit the hardest. Grasping Veins nerfed was a bit too far since it is used for all builds.
EVERYONE got hit with a massive nerf. Across all stats. In addition many classes and abilities got additional nerfs.

Necros, rogues and druids(were) are OP. Nuking the entire screen in a cast or two and killing world bosses in 10 seconds is shit gameplay. I don't care if you got on the statue, what you want is a terrible version of what D4 could be. Season 1 sucks and D4 in general is pretty shitty but not because it takes 5 seconds to clear a room instead of 1.

I've put in hundreds of hours of practice. It's not about my place in the ranking, it's about knowing without a doubt that the game's current state is horrendous for the vast majority of players.
The game was better before the changes. All classes were actually playable, now we have 2.5 classes out of five lol.
@OathboundGaming Idk I just disagree with thinking scaling things back is so terrible. People are still doing high level content woth ALL classes. I mean everyone complained in F3 about the high damage numbers. And it was already on its way to that level. I'm super happy about the vulnerable nerf. For example in borderlands 2 you almost had to gave a slag eeapon to do anything end game. It just ruined the experience. I'm not saying your point of view is invalid. But this nerf seems like a good thing. And when they start buffing things to the new standard people will be thankful. That's just my opinion tho.
@@LymeGreen04 Blizzard confirmed Barb and Sorc buffs already. They are in a near unplayable state when compared to the power of Rogues and Necro’s. Yes you can get stuff done as Sorcs and Barbs but it doesn’t feel good watching the other classes kill at 3 times the speed with little to no effort.
@OathboundGaming they're not near unplayable I have a sorc and I've seen people on stream beat high level nightmare dungeons and absolutely smash Lilith. I mean if it takes an extra 1:30 seconds is that unplayable? 🤔 I don't see it. It's such an over exaggeration. There ate things to complain about. QoL and skill balance and several others. Them reducing overall damage AND nerfing the end game dungeons to help balance that out isn't one of the issues. Fixing resistances and build diversity is a far bigger issue. I mean unless you want to hit for trillions of damage within the next 8 months from nothing but buffs and new OP gear. It's like people want to be God's and have no challenge. The game is still far from being hard and unplayable.

The game is not difficult for any class. At all. The fact that 2 classes are absolutely dominating the game means the the other’s can’t compete.
Oh and fire sorc is my shit ...i got metoer...and my fuckn basic attack fire bolt does 3x the damahe of metoer...nexttttttttttttttt

I hope they nerf that class period. not just buff the others. nerf rogues. might have to tap out until season 2.
