The battlepass content is garbage. the gear looks like shit imo. the platinum is just BARELY not enough to buy a major cosmetic pack thingy too :3 its just BARELY like they calculated that shit i guarentee ittttttt
D4 is not a solid base as you claim. It's spagetti code, bad programmed, and made by ACTIVISION with Blizzard skin. It's unfinished, buggy, and the devs are not even Diablo fans. How F do you expect to make a good game if you are not a fan of the genre?
I keep hearing people arnt happy. But that doesn’t stop them from buying. These consumers raging makes no sense. Clearly they’re happy enough to buy. And guess what. They will buy season 2
The thing is, they aren’t making a game, but a platform to hook the player, frustrate them and sell the shiny to make them feel better, that’s the strategy I think.
Maybe if they made the bait on the hook more compelling I'd bite, but these season one rewards are boring cosmetics and a handful of platinum coins for more cosmetics I don't care about. Oh well, here's hoping next season is more fun because at this point Bauldr's Gate 3, Starfield, and Armored Core 6 are dropping and it's going to take something massively compelling to bring me back.
Yep, D4 is just a Diablo Immortal light, designed to funnel players toward the cash shop and introduce them to Blizzard new strategy of bleeding their customers dry.
the problem is, they dont even realize that in order for us to buy their cosmetic items, we 1st need to have some kind of connection to our characters and a reason to actually play with them... by giving us ZERO endgame, they are doing a pretty bad job at hooking us
the fact people are more upset about the value of the battle pass as opposed to the fact it has battle pass IN THE FIRST PLACE already shows that the execs have won the war and live service is here to stay forever and forever until the end of humanity.
I am so tired of battle passes in general... It boggles my mind that people are so willing to accept having to buy the season pass and then GRIND for the stuff you bought....
Patch Notes 1.10a - Fixed multiple issues where players have fun - Fixed multiple issues where players weren't weak enough | Developers Note: Since resistances are broke and we aren't fixing them until season 2 (next | season), we figured we'd reduce armor to the point it barely works as well. - Fixed multiple issues where EXP gain seemed reasonable - Fixed multiple issues where players were able to get helltide rewards in a reasonable time - Reduced overall game enjoyment 50-100%
@@Gildorify YES, exactly. That's the reason of these nerfs. They want players to waste their time in the game, but they don't want to actually provide and offer actual content/fun
GTA online has successfully been doing this scummy practice for years. By Nerfing and artificially prolonging the game longer for years. By having to wait for long loading times and waiting for rewards to be delivered to the player, instead of instantly.
Blame the young kids, man. Kids, and consumers with deeper pockets are mostly to blame, and are contributing to this kind of behavior. They will purchase season passes without a single care in the world. Without thinking of the repercussions. And this is why devs cont. to get away with it
...says the guy being subscribed to WoW, who bought the ultimate edition of Diablo 4, who has all the skins in Overwatch 2 and who will be back everytime a new season starts or a new Blizzard game comes out... yeah yeah...
Exactly, this is Blizzard, it was absolutely clear they would pull this shit. And why wouldn't they? Blizzard knows that people will throw money at them regardless. At this point, gamers who bought Diablo 4 only have to blame themselves.
when the idiots have the money. they don't care they will keep buying it. "It's my money, it s up to me how I spend" and then corporations see it as a green light. there is no avoidance to this
Blame the young kids, man. Kids, and players with deeper pockets are who to blame for this and are contributing to this kind of behavior. They will automatically purchase season passes without a single fuck in the world, without thinking of the negative consequences and repercussions. And this is why devs continue to get away with it.
I'll tell you what happened: the base game is what reviewers are reviewing off of, and so they made it as shiny as possible so reviewers would give it glowing reviews- and thus make more money. And now that the reviewers have all posted, they've patched the game with mechanics to make it more grindy in order to push microtransactions and greedy business practices.
Kind of reminds me what they did with Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled and their micro-transaction practice a little after a month after release. They waited for the good reviews to kick in, only to have this greedy move take place. Sure, it's purely for cosmetics and nothing pay-to-win, but I'm not happy about it.
And that is why I wasn't buying everyone saying the game was great. I didn't see anything to warrant the game getting great reviews becuase it doesn't have any longevity to it.
This is what happens with all big games. Rockstar has been doing it for ages with GTA online. The game was like a 9 score when it first came out, now it's more like a 1 score.
This is why you can't go by gaming scores and reviews anymore. Because once they know their game gets good reviews and it sells enough copies, then later on, they pull scummy moves that change the whole game completely. It's like a bait and switch kinda thing
Well im not defending them but i also dont really care. I play games to play games. Im not interested in the company politics and drama. It wont stop me from playing things i enjoy. Or in diablo's case, something i wanted to enjoy.
blizzard will continue to disappoint and people will continue to give them money, I don't know if its stockholme syndrome or what but people cannot stop giving this company money it has been proven time and time again
@@AoGbeverage16 to be honest though, the people who appreciated the fans are no longer there... now all that's left are the suits and the poor devs who have no choice...
In other news, the sky is blue and water is wet. Blizzard continues to crash and burn and we're not putting out the fire. In fact, we're watching the devs openly light themselves on fire and jump straight into the blaze.
The funny thing is even when they fail they thrive, so the company learns nothing. Look how many people purchased a game in a beta state. It's the best selling game of 2023 so far which is pathetic. This whole situation reminds me how many simps there are for various things including a franchise. We still have mindless drones preordering because of fomo. Then they make more garbage because sales told them they were right in their designs. This all sounds like a vicious circle. Blizzard is the Apple of gaming. Making recycled crap that sells like hotcakes.
@@blaket1841 Always has been. The worst of the worst practices in gaming have stuck around and are thriving because people are so bloody lenient about such things.
Honestly, a huge red flag for me from the very beginning that i didn't see anyone talking about is that there's no Garrison. Like, in 3, Garrison was the endgame home base, and the point of it is that it was small and everything was easily accessible and close together. U could easily visit the blacksmith, the enchanter, the jeweler and ur stash with barely any running around. 4's towns are all big and messy, and the more I played the more that felt intentional, just a way of making me waste one or two more minutes every single time I visit. This game doesn't respect my time. The absolutely insane extension of the time it takes to portal shows that's intentional.
I can list countless things in the game that feel deliberately stretched out to waste your time. Can we talk about how far back you're spawned if you die in a dungeon? Lol
@@AlexEich I know the game has an online-only requirement, but are you actually forced to play in the same world with other players running around? There's no single player mode at all?
To be fair, given what they brought with D4 (next to nothing for the genre or the real players), the sales alone are a success, sadly, and that's what matters most to them, they already screwed their reputation forever.
@@AntonKushnir-gy8yn If you think about it, if they kept things ok as they are, their lifetime sales would be great all around. This is an L for Blizzard and nothing more.
Gamers need to learn and speak with their wallets instead of hoping "this game will be different!" Blizzard has a track record. Stop buying their games.
Sad thing is not that long ago Blizzard's name was, to myself and many others, the gold standard of PC gaming developers. Once upon a time their shit was top tier in terms of quality and you could buy a game made by Blizzard with faith that it would be good. Now it's the total opposite. I've divested myself of Blizzard's games entirely, and I expect nothing but trash from them.
@@crystalwater505 exactly, gamers buying into shitty game companies shitty practices is why every game right now launches in a terrible state but the store works perfect, and the battle pass is up and ready before anything else.
@@twilightgryphon Yeah... Blizzard is a top tier gaming developer. Too bad what we have now is Bli$$ard, which is epitomized by Diablo: Immoral and it's $10,000 P2W MTX... The fact that D:I was such an obvious "Fuck you" to consumers and yet it STILL was highly profitable says about all you need to know about how gamers today have no standards...
Diablo 1 is a big part of whom I am today as a person. It's how I learned English even before I started to learn it in school. Even Diable 2 was something I enjoyed a lot. But since then , I have been disappointed and then I felt betrayed. D3 , D Immortal and D4 have very little in common with the ones that came before. When you design around making money, it can't even compare or relate to what came before the main goal of your game was to make as much money as possible. You can feel that in every freaking system they put it , which cheapens the experience. Freaking battlepass and microtransaction itemization ruined everything. Diablo franchise has been dead for me since after D2, and the people, spirit and the intentions that created D1 and D2 DO NOT EXIST ANY LONGER IN THE BUILDINGS OCUPIED BY BLIZZARD AT THE MOMENT. Only thing left to say is FREAK bobby kotick and his ilk.
Your welcome do not expect the same for D5, it can burn in the pit if hell that is Activision Blizzard for all I care. Maybe the should hire Dylan as a spokes person for them.
It's just too amusing seeing all these idiots complaining, even though the writing was on the wall. The fact they paid 70 bucks for it is even more funny. 😂
I like playing the game cause I like Diablo. But blizzard is being a piece of crap and there's a shit ton that needs to be fixed. But I enjoy it anyway cause I like playing with my friends
Best part about patch 1.1.0 is that I haven't wasted anymore time on D4 since and it introduced me to POE2, which I am extremely excited about! The same excitement I had for D4 during beta, which has since completely evaporated.
The fact that the cash shop is the only thing that work perfectly even with server lag tell you everything you need to know about the devs priorities, gotta get Bobby his fourth yaught or mansion before he leave with his golden parachute and is replaced with a Microsoft copy.
I remember during the Preorder beta a lot of people couldn't log in, proceeded to spend money in the game store, and were instantly able to access the game Servers
@@germanrud9904 Yep, Blizzard saw Immortal success with the whales and basements dwellers and are probably pivoting their other licences towards the same levels of P2W and microtransactions as we speak. It's sad, but it was predictable.
i dont hink blizzard knows what fun is anymore they more likely looking at their data where to find the most player retention hours aka fun and use that as based of the game
That seems to be the most-likely case. I know I go back to games that I find fun. One of the first games that comes to mind is TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. I still play it often and the servers have been dead forever. It's almost like a game can be successful just having single-player and no in-game purchases or something. 😱
I know Diablo 3 wasn't exactly loved by everyone but I was super late to the Diablo game & when I bought Diablo 3 I think a lot of the issues were patched up and I really enjoyed the game. I was able to play on harder difficulties and I felt like my character was getting stronger and I could overcome any difficulties I might have. I felt an actual progression and I really enjoyed rerolling new characters and playing through the game many times. Playing Diablo 4 just feels AWFUL for some reason. It feels like an absolute slog, it feels like my attacks don't do squat. I never feel like I'm a powerful character. It feels like the game is being tuned to annoy people & try to keep them playing so they spend more money in the store instead of tuning the game to make it FUN.
I'm in the same boat with D3. Along with Skyrim, it's my most successful game, in that I play them all the time. I doubt I'll ever buy D4 unless much later and under a massive discount but only if all issues are solved.
Get you involved -> make you frustrated -> offer $ to reduce frustration. That's at the core gatcha and microtransactions. Visuals, style, mechanics and everything else is just the layer of skin on top.
This is why I don't play live service games anymore or any game for that matter that has not basically received all the patches it will ever receive. I am sick and tired of buying a product then the company that made that product ripping it out of my hands, breaking it, then handing it back to me.
Good ol’ Activision releasing a broken game as a live service and asks players to buy overpriced cosmetics you should be able to earn in game by playing…I hope they change but know they never will 😢
Nah they will either change or die, their current behaviour and development style is not sustainable. From what I've heard/seen they are hemorrhaging skilled developers that head off to make their own companies and have a shitty reputation amongst many gamers. That's not something that survives, though I definitely wouldn't buy anything from them for the next decade at least.
My big problem with Diablo 4 is after you finish the story around lvl 48-50 the stuff you can do feels a lot like chores and busy work and don’t feel rewarding enough. Diablo 3 had a whole list of its own problems but at least running greater rifts and rifts in that game felt like I was being rewarded.
Every time I see news about this game, I pat myself on the back for being a smart consumer lol this game was on my wishlist, but glad I never pre order and waited for reviews. Saved myself money and frustration.
Saw this coming a mile away. So glad I stopped buying anything Activision/Blizzard. I got tricked before , so I'm not pointing and laughing at those who bought in and now regret. I just hope they stop supporting this company. Remember the saying "Fool me once shame on you , fool me twice shame on me"
I expected worse upon release and frankly many people enjoyed D4 at release day. I was thinking maybe, just maybe Blizzard finally released a good game after a track record of crap. Aaand they blew jt. 🤷 This company irredeemable. Maybe Microsoft will be able to do something 🤔
@@imetators Trust me when I say Microsoft taking control was not a good thing. It just traded one scum for another. On the bright side, more games might be on the gamepass. Especially at this rate.
I did. I gave them money thinking the game was gonna be fine. I had my expectations too high and everything went to shit. Like the other comments said: this is just diablo immortal for PC and consoles. Fuck it. I uninstall it already and I'm playing Remnant from the ashes now. Having alot of fun soo far.
Bro they got me for over 120 bucks. I feel like blizzard has become a lying korean company that says 1 thing and does another to fuck their players over. They don't care, there's nothing you can do but stop buying their products. I did not fall for it with OW2 but D4 got me...
I bought it and still got a good 60+ hours of enjoyment out of it. The endgame isn't that fun but I don't feel any buyers remorse. 1-50 has been fun on every class I've played so far. Blizzard continues to spiral but there is fun to be had in D4
@@nickkelly3199 I did have some enjoyment but butcher killing me 8 times before level 30 was not fun. Leveling the warrior, jesus christ... I wish I had only paid 60 bucks 120 dollars, not worth it.
About level scaling: level scaling wasn't removed. At launch, all content scaled to your level which meant you could do anything in any order but it sometimes didn't feel like you were growing more powerful, especially in some circumstances at very late game where enemies gain more power per level than the player does due to issues with gear progression. People wanted areas to have fixed levels, or to adjust the level scaling so different regions have different upper/lower ranges, or adjust how strong enemies get per level, or improve gear progression, something like that. Instead, they kept level scaling the same, except now by default enemies are lower level than you instead of the same level. This has the side effect of enemies giving less XP per kill, making the whole levelling experience slower as a whole. It just seemed like a very lazy "quick fix" solution that wasn't thought through.
@@MBEG89 no because the XP penalty for killing lower level monsters is pretty severe, going down to 1xp per kill. Even at World Tier 4, at high level enemies will always be 5 levels below you which I think is half XP penalty. This level scaling is mainly in the open world and that was the complaint: there's this big open world that becomes pointless due to no reward, pushing players to grind NM dungeons to fight enemies more appropriate to your level. On the flipside, they also severely nerfed the XP bonus from killing enemies higher level than you, so XP gain overall has been heavily nerfed.
The devs do not have crunch times anymore: social justice warriors prevailed and created a lousy and lazy game creation cycle: 4 day weeks, work from home, if you go to the office you get beer in the fridge and so on. Sure it's convenient for them but it's making the industry SHIT. Oh yeah, don't forget the they/them police...
Well no they changed For the fucking worse I remember a time when blizzard was the golden boy of game companies. They could do no wrong. Then the suits took over and the company went to shit
They changed. Before these shenanigans they are loved,as a great company that create only quality games... After the popularity of WoW they started to be greedy and quality started to decline...diablo 3 shows that decline...
I wrote the 666 coin post on reddit. So thrilled to see you using them aw part of your reports. You are amazing and awsome keep up the great work yong! Always love your journalism.
I called it. This game was giving me Destiny 2 vibes. Everyone was initially enjoying it at launch but I had a hunch Blizzard was going to pull some dumb move a month or two from launch. Not that I wanted this to happen by any means but the company has continually shown that they just can't deliver on their games anymore for the past few years.
I quit before Season 1 due to the constant content nerfing every day following new videos showing the latest xp/gear farm. It was only going to get worse in my experience as the devs clearly were invested in keeping the players on a slow grind. To be fair, I was expecting xp experience boosts in the store although that didn’t happen. So, it could have been worse. But nothing since quitting has shown me that I was wrong to do so.
This is the new standard for Activision and has been for YEARS: make sure the reviewed version of the game is good, and then patch in all the bullshit afterward. I wish people would learn that it is not, in fact, necessary to have a game on day one.
Its actually a sad story. My friends were hyped, i joined in on D4 like ten days late bc they were positive about the game. Now we all stopped. All of us having thousands of of hrs in D2 and D2R, even D3, couldnt bear to run one more nightmare dungeon for basically nothing bc all our glyphs were alrdy maxed out. What wasted potential, acutally sad. But then again, its a Blizzard title, so maybe its a story of naivety instead haha
@Tamachii12 Yeah you're absolutely right. It's just that my friends tested it and it felt good after release, we were actually surprised. It was the endgame and the loot that got boring fast - but that was not to be anticipated from our perspective after release haha
I just remember being able to play my rogue one day. And then not the next. I was a slayer of demons once. I tried to hold back the hordes of hell, and protect the innocent, but the Blizzard would not relent. In the end, my spirit crushed and my pockets lighter, I faded back to the realm of the insignificant.
Why does Blizzard bother with early access / beta testing? EVERY game they release, this happens, where the in-game systems are not fun, there are key features just missing with no explanation, and the servers crap out
There's the thing, D3 was far from being a Diablo game at it's core, but it was still fun at what it proposed. Rifts and greater rifts were rewarding. I remember the feeling of accomplishment when I looted my first Immortal King set weapon, my barb became a monster. Played until paragon 700ish. Legendaries were a upgrade most of the time even if the affixes were bad. A low Rolling Bombardier Rucksack would set a demon Hunter for a great time playing. The need to stay connected to being able to play was already there, but trust me, I only saw server queues on big update days. And my Internet was BAD. Monetization. Oh boy, the auction house was bad (remember when some guy paid some thousands of real money for a Echoing Fury? And the overpriced itens farmed by bots? Fun times lol), but it was not blatant scam like those battle passes. Ok, both are scummy, but at least you knew what you were getting by dropping real money or some million Gold on some equipment. And they actually removed it later. And, most shocking, the loot stash actually worked as intended. Think I had about 7 or 8 tabs. Pretty sure theres more. Might be wrong though. They can't even code it right without melting something in the game engine now.
@@majorgear1021 They were like uber dungeons where you had to complete it efficiently (as in a certain amount of time while keeping the mobs dying quickly) to get better rewards after the rift boss spawns. It had customisable difficulty according to your world level (normal, hell, t1~t10...). It was much faster for farming lvls and loot than going to a overworld dungeon, or doing, say, "arreat crater runs", as higher difficulties greatly improved the chances of legendary drops and xp. They used to require rift keystones that were obtained from bounties in adventure mode, but I heard that requisite was removed and you can just jump straight into one. There may be some changes to it's mechanics that I'm not aware of (it's been almost 8 years since I last played), but that's basically it.
I was expecting a AAA company to finally make battle passes not give you enough currency for the next one. I'm surprised that it took those greedy scumbags this long.
The problem is that they serve two masters: The investors and the players. That conflict of interest screws everything up, and they choose to try to balance impossibly on a razor's edge to attempt to satisfy both *just enough* rather than commit to the players, which is really the only option.
simple the original team who passionately made the game is not their anymore if someone left they might have a low input on the older tittles which make their experience useless and the other thing its bobbies world he needs a new yatch so they have to follow the sales/ marketing how to milk players
Diablo should be a power trip kind of game in my opinion. I loved diablo 3 getting strong. Raising the difficulty and doing it all over again. 4 just felt so sluggish doing anything.
You'll never fix the level scaling vs. no level scaling issue. In Act Man's case, level scaling lead to his experience being boring. If you bring everything up to your level, and give relevant EXP all the time, and have that issue, then it means you either have too much content, or are giving too much EXP for each bit of content.
Blizzard knows no matter what they do their fans are going to develop amnesia and toss money at their feet anyways. What reason do they have to do things any differently?
I've never understood the point of level scaling. Why have levels, if everything levels with you? If anything this option should always be optional, not mandatory.
The new strategy is to release a game in a fair and balanced state at launch to Garner positive reviews and reception and then to nerf everything to encourage spending on micro transactions. Truly despicable strategy being pioneered by Blizzard.
I don't understand how after all the progress made polishing Diablo 3 into what was honestly a very enjoyable and addicting ARPG, we have to artificially backtrack to shit game development once again. Why?
There is simply nothing to do but grind once you reach level 70 or so. And they nerfed xp from +25% if you fight 3 levels above you to +15% if you fight 10 levels above you. That's after a major nerf to everything. I lasted 2 months, I quit 3 days ago, playing PoE now for the first time, it's pretty cool but complicated.
On the contrary, this year has some of the most potential in AAA gaming I've seen in a good while. The Cyberpunk dlc, AC6, Starfield, Stalker 2... I've not been so interested in a lineup of AAA titles ina very long time, though I am half expecting all but AC6 to end up being lack luster at launch.
worth a buy never from this company, that should be apparent after OW2, after the abuse, the sexual harassment, the frat culture, and more ppl gotta stop thinking its quality just cause 200 million budget and "live service" they never listen, this game won't get better just more scummy in macrotransactions
@@MisterWhipit Oh yeah I know. I am not hyped for Starfield, just very interested in it. Only game I am really hyped for is AC6, but a lot of potential in the games coming out this year.
Which is a very bad idea, btw. Blizzard can and likely will ban accounts for doing that. They have banned in the past for such exploits. So be aware of that risk
You'd think the audience would have learned after Diablo Immortal but they only have themselves to blame giving Activision Blizzard another chance after so many botched ones.
At this point it's more embarrassing for the players who still haven't learned their lesson. Blizzard is obviously happy to keep teaching it to them though.
You can always rely on Blizzard to provide the best uptime, the best functionality, zero bugs and immediate fixes... For any of its games' in-game shops.
My boy yongyea looks like he has physically changed over time , lost weight , stopped wearing glasses , more well kept hair , I can see the aesthetic improvements
Nostalgia Goggles. And Activison(cause they sure as hell aren't Blizzard anymore) has made sure everyone who even casually played a Blizzard game in the past, is fitted with a set.
StarCraft 2 was probably the last "OG Blizzard" game. I think almost immediately after its success, there was a corporate element that started seeping its way in. Diablo 3s auction system was just a taste of the upcoming disaster that is Blizzard now.
Should’ve learned my lesson with OW2, but decided to hop into D4 because I loved D3 so much and I probably should’ve just waited. There’s a strange pattern with live services and basically getting rid of fun.
The community has gone through the 5 stages of grief. Hopefully it'll turn out to be a great game in the near future. But as of now, it is frustrating to say the least....
Do you think you could talk about Ratatan? The game is a spiritual successor to the Patapon series from the PSP days, and is even made by the same devs. The Kickstarter for the game recently launched, and in 4 days managed to earn over $1 Million dollars. Unfortunately, almost half of that money is currently in limbo, as the sudden unexpected success has tripped Kickstarter's Fraud system and the project is flagged for investigation.
Blizzard is the absolute best when it comes to taking a fantastic game, and dragging it through the mud with absolute mind boggling decisions that give me a aneurism while trying to comprehend how anyone, any human being, could conceive such idiotic “ideas”.
Not really in the mood to start from scratch every 3 months for some gimmicky mechanic like season 1, so if I return for season 2 it has to be absolutely massive content wise.
I am so happy, as a former whale, I did not buy this dumpster fire, and kept blizzard from getting 1 cent from me.. 😂. I also adore all the TH-cam content covering this dumpster fire, Very entertaining! I’m sick of “seasons” in a game, makes me feel like a hamster, I’ve had it.. Regards.
Glad you are no longer a whale. Just stick with the basics in grinding and have a good time. Check out Z League for Apex Legends and Warzone 2.0 gaming.
I was mad at first, and now im just bored and playing other games. It is what it is. Sadly for them a majority of the player base will never return. Sure, many people will return if it gets better but for most it will be forgotten as new games continue to release. A falloff of a player base is inevitable, but Diablo 4 is occurring more quickly than usual for a live service game.
With all the nerfs on game release for no reason, all the nerfs every patch for no reason, they killed the game instantly long before first season be real. All for what there ain’t even leaderboards to boats on. There is no rank system at all 😅
2:54 This is a very important moment because of what didn't happen. They said "Wow we'll never do a patch like this again. that was a bad idea." and then they did absolutely nothing to undo some of the damage. They just kept all the changes they admit were bad. That is the future of this game, sad to say.
All the shop and battlepass skins should be armor sets you earn from killing bosses. There are chase items but they've chosen greed over replayability.
This is very deliberate and all has a purpose behind the scenes. The greed of these corporate studios grows worse every year. Playing on the ignorance or intelligence of unsuspecting players is pretty evil and disgusting when you look at it. I stopped playing Diablo 4 after the first week after release LOL. Enjoyed to some degree what I played, but there was so much missing for me. Just glad I didn't continue to waste much time on it after I got my initial fix.
The only thing Blizzard made clear with Diablo4 is to show players, consumers and Investors that they can't deliver a working product even if their lives depend on it.
This reminds me of FF16 that I started playing and enjoying recently. The game is great, but what I love about it is that they cater to the players. A ton of game mechanics exist only so you feel better. After 10-15sec of running, the character automatically transitions to sprint so you can run faster in large open areas. Loot automatically vacuumed into your inventory at the end of the battle. The characters are enjoyable, the story is great, the fan favorite monsters are looking cool, they were thinking about players who only play a little then come back later with lore explanations that you can access to YOUR convenience , the dog is cute, the girl is nice, it's just a delight to play and it's tangible that they wanted the player to just feel good while playing it. No bullshit, no forced agendas, no irritating characters, no bullshit mechanics to slow you down or make you feel bad or forcing you to pay more than the price of the game. Just a good game. And then we have blizzard. 😁
At this point, just stop giving Blizzard your hard earned money. It literally isn't worth it and the game's have been made intentionally worse. Smh.....

That's essentially it, yes.

- Fixed multiple issues where players have fun
- Fixed multiple issues where players weren't weak enough
| Developers Note: Since resistances are broke and we aren't fixing them until season 2 (next

- Fixed multiple issues where EXP gain seemed reasonable
- Fixed multiple issues where players were able to get helltide rewards in a reasonable time
- Reduced overall game enjoyment 50-100%

@@ThatOneArgentinianGamer yeah that's the exact case I was thinking of. It reeks of that same tactic

But arent you killing faster therefore more xp?
@@MBEG89 no because the XP penalty for killing lower level monsters is pretty severe, going down to 1xp per kill. Even at World Tier 4, at high level enemies will always be 5 levels below you which I think is half XP penalty. This level scaling is mainly in the open world and that was the complaint: there's this big open world that becomes pointless due to no reward, pushing players to grind NM dungeons to fight enemies more appropriate to your level.
On the flipside, they also severely nerfed the XP bonus from killing enemies higher level than you, so XP gain overall has been heavily nerfed.
Imagine keeping players engaged by making the game good.
But wait thats impossible to expect of these poor devs, only time that happens is during weird anomalys...

But nothing since quitting has shown me that I was wrong to do so.
This is the new standard for Activision and has been for YEARS: make sure the reviewed version of the game is good, and then patch in all the bullshit afterward. I wish people would learn that it is not, in fact, necessary to have a game on day one.

On the brightside, looking into how D4 compared to D2 (it doesn't) I found Path of Exile and I am addicted.
I played D3’s campaign but that was it. I never understood what Rifts where.
I'm just baffled that they had 10 YEARS to get this right and STILL somehow managed to fuck it up.
The problem is that they serve two masters: The investors and the players.
That conflict of interest screws everything up, and they choose to try to balance impossibly on a razor's edge to attempt to satisfy both *just enough* rather than commit to the players, which is really the only option.
@@inthefadeif only players are rich enough to become investor instead
simple the original team who passionately made the game is not their anymore if someone left they might have a low input on the older tittles which make their experience useless and the other thing its bobbies world he needs a new yatch so they have to follow the sales/ marketing how to milk players
what do you mean?
judging from diablo immortal, they got it down to a tee
Diablo should be a power trip kind of game in my opinion. I loved diablo 3 getting strong. Raising the difficulty and doing it all over again. 4 just felt so sluggish doing anything.
You'll never fix the level scaling vs. no level scaling issue. In Act Man's case, level scaling lead to his experience being boring. If you bring everything up to your level, and give relevant EXP all the time, and have that issue, then it means you either have too much content, or are giving too much EXP for each bit of content.
Or you just have dungeons that level scale, and open worlds that dont.
Blizzard knows no matter what they do their fans are going to develop amnesia and toss money at their feet anyways. What reason do they have to do things any differently?
I've never understood the point of level scaling. Why have levels, if everything levels with you? If anything this option should always be optional, not mandatory.
20:00 "fed up with things"
The perfect summary of how people feel about Blizzard's shenanigans
And there they are buying D4... if they were fed up they would ignore anything that comes from Bobby shack
And yet, people are still giving them money. Maybe Activision-Blizzard could just open up an OF account.
The new strategy is to release a game in a fair and balanced state at launch to Garner positive reviews and reception and then to nerf everything to encourage spending on micro transactions. Truly despicable strategy being pioneered by Blizzard.
It's always great learning from your opinion and hearing you brother! Love your uploads and everything you have accomplished so far. Keep it up!!
Agree
True, even when I disagree heavily he typically still raises some interesting points.
Is poe2 on console ?
@@kuja5809 PoE2, next year, yes. PoE is on now, been for years.
Worth-A-Buy might be right, this year could be the one to break AAA games.
On the contrary, this year has some of the most potential in AAA gaming I've seen in a good while. The Cyberpunk dlc, AC6, Starfield, Stalker 2...
I've not been so interested in a lineup of AAA titles ina very long time, though I am half expecting all but AC6 to end up being lack luster at launch.
worth a buy never from this company, that should be apparent after OW2, after the abuse, the sexual harassment, the frat culture, and more
ppl gotta stop thinking its quality just cause 200 million budget and "live service" they never listen, this game won't get better just more scummy in macrotransactions
@@MisterWhipit Oh yeah I know. I am not hyped for Starfield, just very interested in it.
Only game I am really hyped for is AC6, but a lot of potential in the games coming out this year.
If you've been fooled once, you're a victim but if it's more than 3x? you're part of the problem and they're just exploiting it
They actually effd up Diablo 2x not 3 😅
@@Liquid_Paper3, Immortal, 4
@@oakleyraverty1030 and that's besides all the things they've done to their other games. Warcraft III: Reforged anyone?
Your tears taste amazing.
@@Lean_Dad says a guy who eats a bowl of shit and asks for seconds.
What's even worse is the money and item exploit that you can trade non season stuff to a season character and possibly more.
Which is a very bad idea, btw. Blizzard can and likely will ban accounts for doing that. They have banned in the past for such exploits. So be aware of that risk
I've moved on to boulder's gate 3 and remnant 2
Its actually astounding how a studio of blizzards size could fuck a game up this bad with 4 years of developement time. Absolutely astounding.
You'd think the audience would have learned after Diablo Immortal but they only have themselves to blame giving Activision Blizzard another chance after so many botched ones.
Blizzard is facing criticism?! No way, that never happens! 😂
At this point it's more embarrassing for the players who still haven't learned their lesson. Blizzard is obviously happy to keep teaching it to them though.
Ever since the immortals debacle, i stop trustsing in blizzard and saw them for what they are.
You can always rely on Blizzard to provide the best uptime, the best functionality, zero bugs and immediate fixes...
For any of its games' in-game shops.
This is why they were shit talking bg3, literally cant compete with companies that put in even 1% effort
My boy yongyea looks like he has physically changed over time , lost weight , stopped wearing glasses , more well kept hair , I can see the aesthetic improvements

Why people expect anything good from current Blizzard baffles me.
Wishful thinking
Nostalgia Goggles. And Activison(cause they sure as hell aren't Blizzard anymore) has made sure everyone who even casually played a Blizzard game in the past, is fitted with a set.
if the founder of blizzard is still alive, he must be ashamed of whats happened to the company he made
They all are.
Most of the early founders are swimming in cash and cashed out when they all saw the iceberg on the horizon.
Nicely done opening with a visual depiction of one step forward, one step back!
Bit off with that, you mean 1 step back, 2 steps even further back
More like 1½ step back, 1 step forward then pat yourself in the back for a job well done.
Blizzard is the absolute best when it comes to taking a fantastic game, and dragging it through the mud with absolute mind boggling decisions that give me a aneurism while trying to comprehend how anyone, any human being, could conceive such idiotic “ideas”.
Why would they think it's a good idea to force us to level up again so soon after launch? It's just so god damn dumb in every way.
Not really in the mood to start from scratch every 3 months for some gimmicky mechanic like season 1, so if I return for season 2 it has to be absolutely massive content wise.
It doesn't help for them to make exclusive event in Seasonal realm.
Regards.
Congrats on being a recovered whale!
People need to stop funding this garbage and just play old games or pro-consumer games with reliable reviews.
I have no sympathy for people giving Blizzard money after all the shit they pull.
With all the nerfs on game release for no reason, all the nerfs every patch for no reason, they killed the game instantly long before first season be real. All for what there ain’t even leaderboards to boats on. There is no rank system at all 😅
*Eats popcorn and laughs*
You pretty much said everything there is to say about D4, hope the devs know what they are doing to make it better.. if not, PoE2 next year baby!
I’ve stopped playing in S1 because the grind in D4 is unfun
Even the devs said so
This is very deliberate and all has a purpose behind the scenes.
16 sucks
Even without all these bugs and issues a paid game with a paid battle pass is always a no
At this point, just stop giving Blizzard your hard earned money. It literally isn't worth it and the game's have been made intentionally worse. Smh.....
