So hear me out on this…I’m Mexican American (my Mother was from Colima, MX - her Father was blonde hair green eyes from Spain and her Mother, black hair brown eyes from Mexico). She was killed by a drunken driver when I was 4 so I was by default raised with my Caucasian Father but influenced still by my maternal family….I love and embrace my Mom’s culture which is a part of me and I speak fluent Spanish, that said, I’m white presenting with blonde hair and brown eyes. People don’t know I’m 1/2 Mexican unless I speak in Spanish. I say all that to say this, I’m so glad that you have widened your dating horizons and friendships while traveling. I 100% understand dating within your race and agree that the U.S. has way too much racism and if white folks deny that, they are lying, period. What I love about you is your honesty and ability to put yourself unapologetically out there to date Latino men also, as while I believe that there are good men in every race, I just happen to be partial to Latino men lol. 🫶🙏

I’m 24 from New Orleans and I’ve been watching you for a few weeks now and you’ve been so inspiring. Literally for 11 months it’s been feeling like my life has been on a downward slope.. so many ego deaths.. dealing with betrayal from loved ones, to losing my apartment, job, to even flipping my car in the rain about 3 weeks ago totaling my car and not receiving any money back now starting from 0 again. Before all of this I had a huge dream to move to a country in Africa in about 3 years.. I had huge dreams but now watching your videos I’m gaining the vision back again. Yes, that's one of the first things I noticed when we lived in St. Louis after moving there from California that it was lots of black folks and that communities were separated.

After my mom and I got robbed at gunpoint (when I was a kid), my dad promised us he would get us out. We would drive and look in the window at furniture stores. We ended up living in one of those houses in the suburbs with the furniture we used to look at. Everything she is saying is true
I love watching other ppl from STL get out of the city for and live other places. I live in Japan for now and looking for where we’ll go next. A good amount of ppl will say there is racism every but I didn’t realize how segregated it is at home.
I am also in a situation where I see no other option than to move to another country, as you say, I feel pushed. I'm not from the United States by the way, I'm from another country

I told my father I was going to work with them one day. A few years later I'm on a plane for Rome sitting across from my Associate Producer. I was working with Discovery Channel producing international documentaries. I retired to Hawaii after telling my father I was going to live in Hawaii one day. I love your vlogs. I'm hooked!

I was definitely intentional with it lol initially I looked into moving to Puerto Vallarta but felt like there wouldn’t be much for me to do after a few weeks of living there after doing some research. The research then caused me to look into Quinta roo. I joined so many Facebook groups for expats living in Mexico and that’s when I learned about Playa. I felt cancun was TOO touristy, there’s not much to really do in Tulum outside of the hotel zone and so it felt like Playa was the happy medium. Lots of original Mexican culture mixed with a splash of the western world. Very happy with my choice 😆 plus both are a hop skip away if I ever want to go visit so it worked out ✨🦋

You could come back the next day lol lots of people do border runs to nearby countries as well. Getting your residency isn't a difficult process though if you do decide on Mexico permanently.
