I feel like we were robbed of at least one, but I think it should have been two more scenes of Pen and Colin being intimate that would have made the emotional investment stronger. We should have had a love scene after Pen's confession to the entire Ton. She offered Colin an annulment! He should have shut that down and taken his beautiful, brave, stunning wife home and made love to her to celebrate her triumph and his admiration. That scene needed to be there. About Violet and Marcus… Julia Quinn said that she didn’t see herself writing Violet’s second happy ending love story because she didn’t think she could come up with anyone good enough for her. I think we are watching this sentiment play out because I wholeheartedly agree based on who we’ve come to know Violet to be on-screen. I don’t need to know anything about Marcus to know that he’s just not good enough for her. Then when he started talking I was certain that he was not good enough for her. It’s no fault of his per se although Lady Danbury not liking him is kind of a red flag; and it matters not that they made amends later on. I’m happy for Violet wanting to be sociable and interactive. It’s good for her. However, it would be wise for her to proceed with caution. Naturally, she has high expectations and she could easily get hurt. I’m still so curious to learn how she picked herself up after those season 2 flashback scenes. I imagine it was gradual but I wonder what was the defining moment? Then vs now is like night vs day: how did she do it? Of course she’ll never love or lose like that again… but she could still be left feeling disappointed… and she doesn’t deserve to be disappointed. Edmund delighted in keeping her happy. It is essential that perfectionists are kept happy: it is a lifeline. When she said “Edmund was the air that I breathed and now there is no air” she meant that. Shortly before his tragic demise, he stopped to pick her flowers before returning inside because he knew she would adore them. Who’s gonna spoil her like that again? ... *no* *one* Marcus isn’t even making that much of an effort to try to woo her. She deserves that much. I don’t like that he’s Lady Danbury’s brother either. Surely, there must be other gentlemen who’ve already been eyeing her from a distance. She has all these reservations about Francesca…hopefully now with Francesca being gone, she will start having her own much needed reservations.
Why did you ruin Polin's love story like this :( Colin is like the 15th character of importance in his own season, why. During ep7-8 they get no romance, no passion, no love ... everything is about Ben's cringe scenes and other characters, not about Polin. I'm so sad.
I totally agree. 5 and 6 were excellent, but 7 and 8 were a let down. There should have been at least one, but preferably 2 more intimate Polin scenes in strategic locations that would have had such an emotional impact. I put my suggestions in another comment on this video, so I won't repeat it. I would love to hear whether people agree or disagree with my ideas. I haven't liked Tilly at all, and I found the intimate scenes with Ben and Tilly (and the one with the other guy) boring and cringy. All the Mondrich scenes felt like filler and could have been time better spent on more Polin. Introducing Michaela, and Francesca's reaction to her, before she and John spent a week as a married couple was kind of cruel, and negated all the fighting Francesca did for her relationship. Just so much wasted film that could have been devoted to what fans really wanted.
@nodarlingart I hate this hole tilly storyline . . . I did not care much for benedicts story in the books, but now I atually dont want to watch his after this weird lust - triangle that stole way to much time from Polin. From the very first, netflix made bridgerton much more radical bejond the feminism than it really is in the books, and stuffed it full with new and not really necessary charakters and storylines . . . but this season was really cramed full with everyones problems but the one that matters. Make them gay, make them african american or chines or indian, I dont care as long as they are happy . . . but I really can´t cope with couplings that include more then two persons and a storyline that is so all over the place . . . Julia Quinns novels are normaly safe in that way, but netflix made me skip benedict completly at episode 5 and craving polin . . . If you really want "radical" in the source material . . . I highly recomand kerrigan byrne, who includs a lot of taboos and radical thoughts in her books . . . or even tessa dare, who is much like Quinn, but does actually includs gay people and people of color even in her very first books, or Courtney Milan, who also from the very beginning included such a wide spectrum of "not mainstream" - charakters like gay people, people of color and very different nationalitys and even old people as main protagonists in her universe, not just since it is trend . . . . but please stop stuffing this full with things that are not there in the first place and are not really bridgerton. Bacause the funny thing is, I really enjoyed what they made of the romance between Colin and Pen, they showed the desperation and longing actual much better as in the book, and I even liked the Lord Debblin Twist, because that little bit of jealousy was a great motivator for Colin, that is really missing in the book. But this season was plain and simple a waste of great chemistry between two great actors and a lot of things, that no one asked for in the first place, because I really don´t think the avarage Julia Quinn lover is in search of a "ménage à trois", as isn´t the avarage Kerrigan Byrne or Tessa Dare or Cortney Milan reader for that matter . . . bad ass historical romace or not. Because even though their storys take quite a bit more risks in their choice of storyline, and they are far away from simple and clean reading, they are a save space for romance lovers, in wich faithfulness and deep feelings are the most important things next to the spicy content. If you want highly flexible faithfullness in the source, you should adapt Jess Michals.
This season sent me for a bit of a loop it was all over the place, some things were a bit much/extra and overly complicated…. Love the series just stressed about the turn it’s taking
I am sad for the actors who poured their hearts into this S3Part 2 soup opera. Bridgerton magic is G O N E! Totally different vibe. Polin story was suppressed and rushed through, Kanthony were barely there and Anthony adopted a new personality where he doesn’t care about family issues or to bring his pregnant wife across the ocean, Daphne mysteriously disappeared. The lovely Lord Debling and the Cressida new invented dept of character were thrown out the window all of the sudden. Chaotic storylines nobody gives a damn about were on the frontline. Destroying book characters, makeup and costumes made for clowns, sincerely WTF!? Please bring back the people who created Seasons 1 and 2 and Queen Charlotte!!
why is this season so boring compared to the first two seasons and queen charlotte? there were too many storylines competing with the main couple - the mondrich storyline was totally unnecessary. lady tilley was boring and uncharismatic - really didn't care for her. loved francesca and her storyline, maybe even violet's. but there were just too many things going on the writers did a disservice to colin and penelope. and colin and penelope's story felt rushed - i could believe penelope loving colin all these years, but colin falling for penelope that quick after being just friends was a stretch. and maybe they've been friends for so long the chemistry just wasn't there unlike daphne and simon in season 1, kate and anthony in season 2, and the king and queen in queen charlotte. it was so boring i was falling asleep at times.

My heart shattered, I really hate they change my Michael to michaela. I have lost interest to watch bridgerton, did not feel excitement as season 1 & 2.
@@mcnoneyaFrancesca is struggling with infertility in the book. She has a few miscarriages with John. She is also dealing with a sudden loss of a loved one. Michael, John’s cousin, helps her dealing with that grief and she ends up marrying Michael. They later have two children. So by making Michael a Michela, they have now completely changed that story for Francesca. That’s why we book readers are a bit upset.
@@cakt1991 not liking a show anymore isn't being a Karen. It's called having a justified opinion. This season was a let down. Whoever the new writer is, didn't do a good job. Eloise didn't improve as a person( ignored cressidas story and acted like she didnt know why cressida needed the money), made Colin constantly talk over Penelope and played down john x Francesca. Francesca was clearly shown to be settling for john( the face after her first kiss, every character thinking john and her don't mesh well, Francesca's lines) and then had her clearly attracted to the cousin( while her husband is ALIVE AND WELL)

@@cakt1991 you seem to have all the drama the season is lacking. I have read the books. And love them. How long are you on the internet to not expect that? Maybe finish the season first. And even if the footage have been spoiler-free, the comments would not.
Hated the Michael change and what you’re doing to poor Benedict. You’ve lost something this season, as another commentator mentioned, the magic of this show that was there for Queen Charlotte and the first two seasons was missing in Season 3. I feel bad for Nicola and Luke because their character’s story was one of the better ones in the book series and you did not do it justice this season. I doubt I will be turning in for future seasons, but I’m inspired to reread the book series now to “cleanse the palate”, so to speak.
Disappointment!! Where did Pen and Colin's story go? Benedict bisexual? Francesca lesbian? Eloise opportunistic and non-existent? What a bad script. You ruined the beautiful love story of the Polins, which was also put in the background, to distort and ruin the other characters too. I didn't like this season and I think I won't watch the next ones.
it screamed to me that he was not bisexual in this episode. he (and the other man (whatshisname) were happily totally ignoring her during their "3somes", what a joke, just make him gay already and save her speech, she was thrown to the side, just like Ross was totally ignored when he and his wife had that threesome with his wife Susan and Carol. CRINGE
Not one person asked for these additions to the ton. This season was about Polin, and no one cares about these side stories. You had a book, all you had to do was follow it. If we could survive without Daphne and Simon-we would have certainly survived without all these side characters. Bring back the old directors and stop doing full glam on the characters. Do better.

Shortly before his tragic demise, he stopped to pick her flowers before returning inside because he knew she would adore them. Who’s gonna spoil her like that again? ... *no* *one*
Marcus isn’t even making that much of an effort to try to woo her. She deserves that much. I don’t like that he’s Lady Danbury’s brother either. Surely, there must be other gentlemen who’ve already been eyeing her from a distance. She has all these reservations about Francesca…hopefully now with Francesca being gone, she will start having her own much needed reservations.
Very excited for Francesca's storyline! You've got a new watcher 😊 ( quite a few i imagine)
Ummm the Mondrichs are NOT new to the ton. They been here since S1.
I think they mean new to the ton as in now - bc of their son's title - they are a part of the ton "for real"!
They are new to the ton. They joined the ton this season because of their son's new title.
Banyak cast yg gak harus banget dibikin, padahal ini season Polin tapi kebanyakan screen mereka yang gak perlu
We need more Polin
@nodarlingart
I hate this hole tilly storyline . .
Can’t wait for Francesca/Michaela story!
I agree actually with most of what you wrote. Daphne NO ONE MENTIONS...come on we bought into folks...
Benedict had more romance than Polin. Thanks for ruining "When he was wicked"
why is this season so boring compared to the first two seasons and queen charlotte?
there were too many storylines competing with the main couple - the mondrich storyline was totally unnecessary. lady tilley was boring and uncharismatic - really didn't care for her. loved francesca and her storyline, maybe even violet's. but there were just too many things going on the writers did a disservice to colin and penelope.
and colin and penelope's story felt rushed - i could believe penelope loving colin all these years, but colin falling for penelope that quick after being just friends was a stretch. and maybe they've been friends for so long the chemistry just wasn't there unlike daphne and simon in season 1, kate and anthony in season 2, and the king and queen in queen charlotte.
it was so boring i was falling asleep at times.

My heart shattered, I really hate they change my Michael to michaela. I have lost interest to watch bridgerton, did not feel excitement as season 1 & 2.
JUSTICE FOR MICHAEL STIRLING
This is just the beginning of the story. It's not the end for her
@@mcnoneyaFrancesca is struggling with infertility in the book.
Please film a redo. What happened to the magic?!?
Are you and the other crybaby Karens going to pay the actors’, writers’, producers’ and crew’s salaries to do this? 🙄
Francesca was clearly shown to be settling for john( the face after her first kiss, every character thinking john and her don't mesh well, Francesca's lines) and then had her clearly attracted to the cousin( while her husband is ALIVE AND WELL)
@@meizesighs3915 but demanding a redo? In this economy, post writers’ and actors’ strikes?! Do you know how out of touch that is? Crowdfund your own version then, and maybe you’ll appreciate how hard it is to make stuff. Or maybe just read the dang books and let those of us who are happy with all the changes enjoy it without your bitching and moaning.
@@cakt1991 Us fans want Michael. Not fucking Michaela. Michael is a man and Francesca is straight ❤️
@@cakt1991 you seem to have all the drama the season is lacking. I have read the books. And love them. Which is exactly why it would do justice to the actors and the book for it to be filmed cinematically like season 1&2 and let the lead actually lead. I'm not concerned with the writers and producers as they are the problem. Do you work in the industry? Why so concerned about the cost? 😂 And if my opinion keeps you from enjoying it.. well 🤷
Guys it's been less than week - why am I getting spoiled (stop at 2 minutes if you're worried, dear readers) by what I assumed was promotional material?! I haven't finished the season yet, and that's not totally unusual!
Shut up Karen
@@dianastellaNo, we wanted the proper representation of the books accurately on screen.
I hate Tilly . . .
@@nodarlingart I didn’t like Tilly either.
womp womp
CRINGE
What's your problem with the fact that there is non heterosexual character omg
Not one person asked for these additions to the ton. This season was about Polin, and no one cares about these side stories. You had a book, all you had to do was follow it. If we could survive without Daphne and Simon-we would have certainly survived without all these side characters. Bring back the old directors and stop doing full glam on the characters. Do better.
I am DEVASTATED that you all changed Francesca's story with Michael. That was my favorite book, and now this show is dead to me and I don't care what happens next 😣
IIRC this is just the beginning of her story. I will not spoil, but this is not the end
Bye bye
Oh no! A random pixel online won’t be watching… Shonda is gonna be broke 🙄
@@misanahyoholic4461 of course not, but if no one says they don't like adaptations, how would she know? Duh. I give my opinion because I have one. And everybody else will give theirs also.
yall are getting your panties in a bunch about the hint of something that’s not even close to filming, good god go chill out and have some fun

Why did you erase infertile women?
What queer women can't be infertile?
@@Pillowlips77 Francesca is straight and with a MALE MICHAEL.
@@Rubyshiny344 Fran can still be infertile with a same sex partner. Homosexual couples struggle just as much as straight couples with infertility and miscarriages.
