Quality interview from Rog. Gravvers is well spoken, has an infectious smile, and is a really likeable person. Hope he stays fit and in form; he's been a standout player in the team this season. Come on you Reds!
@@ikennanw you can have the world's best strikers but without good midfielders feeding them they won't shine... Look at real madrid without Kroos or City without Rodri... Next time Liverpool play focus on Gravenberch then you'll understand
We're top of the league, we're top of the champions league, and this 22 year old has been a massive reason for that. My player of the season so far and he's only going to get better. We love him. Great interview again.
@redsgomarchingin457 he reminds me a lot of De Jong with his ability to dribble at a tight spaces and get into attack as a late runner if an avenue presents itself. I can't remember his name but he used to be tottenham's holding midfielder too I think he might have been Dutch even but he's really similar to him
@redtill1 nah, as a 6 fabinho was the best for 4 years. Don't let recency bias have you thinking away. When gravenberch wins a a pl a the focal point then I'll say so
@redtill1 yh but your opinion is not even close to fact. Just literally a opinion.. we've won every trophy sith fabinho. He even played cb at times they're different sorta 6s.. gravenberch potentially better. But to say a guy that being the focal point won us every trophy. It's crazy
Great interview, as an ajax fan it was weird to see him not reach his potential at bayern and in his 1st year at liverpool. But it is very satisfying to see him play like his teenage self again
Tbh I know it sounds crazy when you compare his levels from last year but I genuinely think this guy has been the best midfielder in the world so far this season, unbelievable player with fantastic consistency
Thats what the kop want from their liverpool players. Intelligent and strong footballer, good human being, humble, never give up and gorgeous fc, thank you.

The comparison of Grava's growth with Matthew McG's transformation is of Haruki Murakami quality; spot on! Well done sir. Loved seeing Ryan in this interview. Now everytime i see him swirling, will hear Water Get No Enemy by Fela Kuti. Just Art. 🏆🏅🧨
spending time with thiago last season did help him i think. cause i think in thiago last season his acting as a coach already. money well spend i guess for his wage
Dont wanna be one of those guys "that knew all along" but when the buzz around him and Bellingham at Dortmund started happening - I was hoping we'd sign either one of them and quickly. Obviously we all know that he went to Bayern (which should be indicative to his quality) and Jude has become world class - but what gets me is how so many people seemed to write Grav off so early and so quickly? Legit heard some people saying they wouldnt be interested in Ryan after his Bayern spell and I was arguing hes still young and his "failed" stint at Bayern meant nothing (apart from how shit Bayern are at giving some players their chance). So glad Klopp went for him, he clearly saw the bigger picture and the lad is still young with his prime years ahead of him. Now he's already one of this seasons best midfielders and surely it can only get better from here.
I hope you are one of those 'that knew all along', because I worry the novelty's already worn off. How soon before Mac, Jones and Sblob are the long-term midfield 3? Gravenberch did well against utd (WOW!!!) and has done what since?
@@Sam-m6o3j You're being silly, now, aren't you? Salah will have been MOTM at least twice as many game as he has. And then there's the rest of the squad. 2 or 3 motms is NOT 'nearly every game' as find ourselves approaching Christmas.
Having a player of his caliber as a deep lying midfielder was always going to send us to the next level. This is the part of our game that was missing last season. Not to bash endo but Ryan Is an insane talent
It's mad that he's only 22. He's been an absolute revelation this season. Him and Konate (and now Bradley and Kelleher) have been the players of the season
Totally agree. Rog has such a great, interesting style. Great questions backed up with reasons for asking them. He could interview a gate post and I would watch it.:)
Honestly Gravenberch turn is very interesting to me because I thought it might have been something Slot introduced, seen quite a few of our players attempt it this season with varying degrees of success
I did not expect Ryan to become this good after seeing him play at Ajax. He was always a big talent but under Slot he has flourished. It says a lot about Slot’s ability to get the most out of his players.

How massive grav to Liverpool’s midfield is like vvd is key to Liverpool’s defence and salah is key to Liverpool’s offence. The improvement of Ryan this season compared to last season is very huge
For me, Rog has created his own niche as a sort of parallel to Nardwuar of the football world. A unique kind of personality that can create a connection to the interviewee (Rog through his winding wordplay, Nardwuar through his extensive research and gifts) that makes them seem at ease and more willing to provide real answers.
Quick question. 2:25 “There was a stack death chart that prevented you from getting minutes”. Have I misheard that? And if not, what does it mean? Thanks
Surprised at his overall quality rather than the ability to play deeper. I knew he was flexible from living in Amsterdam and attending games, but it felt like he was just another player who had failed to adapt his game to the Prem. How wrong I was.
Rog is an amazing interviewer. Each guest feels right at home. Top class stuff. Keep up the great work.
