I came for the Trent interview and I'm staying because this guy is such a respectful and humble interviewer. I had a huge smile on my face the whole time. You sir have earned a sub! Now if you will excuse me I seem to have hours of back catalogue to explore.

Trent is always honest to what he had said in the media towards his goal, career, personal achievement. The fact that he never mentions anything about his contract doesn't mean that he's gonna leave. There're a lot of elements to discuss whether a player should stay or go.
That's incredible. I must say, I pride myself in my passing ability, and I'm no pro, but I've been dapped up a lot by guys who know their stuff. I've never thought of that before though the way that Trent just described it, it's amazing. I always felt as a passer you're responding to a situation. But this idea of communicating through the pass gives a whole new meaning to the idea of a being the orchestrator as a deep-lying playmaker. Brilliant.
Football fans need to realize that although for you, football and your club is your passion, for most footballers it's just a job. I highly doubt anyone would want to stay at the same job their entire life so why would he? He's won everything at Liverpool. Of course he wants a new challenge. Every player would. Liverpool fans are ungrateful. Be happy that he spent 26 years of his life at the club.
He should stay, but I get Real Madrid are probably offering him contract of 400k a week that Liverpool are offering nowhere near that kinda of money. He has to think whether legacy is more important than money. If he stays at Liverpool he will become a global icon for 70 years. If he moves to Real Madrid, he might have slightly more money, but he will be forgotten as soon as he retires like many Real Madrid players, beyond a few notable exceptions.
He could be a legend in line with Gerrard , Rush etc etc if he stays . If he goes to Madrid he will just be another player . You are spot on with Legacy over $, he wants 350 a week Liverpool allegedly offered 310 . Hughes is obviously negotiating with the club in mind by the way 350k for a right back is crazy but Real have the dough 🤷
@@markbutcher-st5cpReal Madrid don’t have the dough. They are just financial cheats. They don’t generate as much money commercially as English teams and La Liga is the 4th league of Europe for riches leagues in Europe. Their wealth all comes from manipulating TV money distribution for 25 years that gave them a massive financial. They are the only major league where they don’t share TV revenue equally, so this gives Real Madrid and Barcelona false wealth to offer the highest salaries in football, especially when players are free agents. So Salah is the highest paid player in the Premier League and Real Madrid have 7 players in 2022 earning more than him. Any team can dominate Europe when you have been taking 25% of an entire league’s TV revenue. Part of the reason they were so desperate for a Super League, because cheating used to get them 350 million spending advantage, but with the EPL TV being so big now, they only have a 100 million spending advantage.
@@markbutcher-st5cpnot a single credible journalist has said that btw and one of the articles was from the s*n. It's wild to me that Liverpool fans are taking this as read
The only reason I know this was an interview, was because Trent was speaking . Other than that , it looks like a still photo of Trent . Trent just wasn’t blinking at all .
2 things he mentioned I got from this interview Trent doesn't want to put too much meaning into the emotional attachment of being a local lad to make it an obligation since he already achieved all sort of things with the club the second thing is when he said he wanted a legacy he wanted to be remembered as the best in his position to be in the category of the best right backs in history this two things indicate that to achieve what he wants in his career he will choose what fits him not what others impose to him I think it adds more of him wanting to play for Real Madrid because the greatest players in history play there and there is a possibility that a decade of excellence in Madrid will put him in the category of the best player even in his position because actually they make those types of players
Any so-called Liverpool supporter would never run his contract down & leave on a free going into his prime years. The cost to replace him will eat into our budget to strengthen other parts of the team. Which will hurt Liverpool, with how tight FSG are already. He's declined 3 offers so far. *Never let him tell you it's the clubs fault.*
Any well run club would not let 3 of their best players go into their last year of contract to begin with. He said his contract isn’t playing out in public and you’re out here believing any rumor you read.
It is the club’s fault. They could’ve opened and concluded negotiations the summer before Klopp made his announcement. They didn’t. Now everything is being rushed because they’re on a definitive deadline now. Trent can’t make them give him an offer. They failed to do so two summers’ ago. He’s not a slave, he’s not obliged to stay if he doesn’t want to. If he wants to stay, that would be amazing. If he doesn’t, he’s done brilliantly for Liverpool. Regardless of what happens, it’s FSG that has to learn and do better. Otherwise they’ll be in the same position with Konate and Diaz next year.
From this interview I think it's almost certain he's about to go. But hearing him speak about it makes me a lot more sympathetic to him about the decision, as until now he's been entirely silent as well as putting in a recent baffling performance v Fulham. Just sign a deal and let the club have some money to reinvest please. Otherwise good luck 👍
As a Liverpool fan, I won't beg him to stay, if he's truly a scouser, he should pen the paper, but if he wants to go to Madrid, he can, and we be here to see if he win the Balon dor. YNWA
You do realise many of our favourite Liverpool players stayed largely to d threats? Gerrard and Carra for some. He should do what he feels best for him. “Fans” like you being happy to let him go are the problem.
He won’t have a legacy if he runs his contract down and leaves for nothing like Owen did real only want them cause they run there contract down if the really wanted them they would pay the money like them did with Bellingham

TAA should stop talking about loving this and loving that in Liverpool. He loves Madrid more. Please sell him and get a capable replacement while we continue to develop Conor. Waiting until the summer is too late for the new player to bed in.
