Isn't racing about skill? Of course newcomers will play worse then skilled players. It requires time and patience to learn the game and become the best. That's literally how every game works.
It really depends on which track and on which ramp. CTR maps requires to be studied in order to master them. Some important techniques are the froggy, the USF and the speed ghosts. There are many tutorials anyway :)

Is that normal?* Yes. client.exe injects itself into Duckstation and modifies it in real-time, which is detected by most anti-viruses as malicious. If you are having issues downloading the files, try with different browsers (Edge works the best). For windows defender: Navigate to advanced settings and add an exclusion to Client.exe. Those stupid cheat unintended shortcuts should be fixed in CTRO
At the very least they didn’t go for the crazy shortcut where you leap down the spiral circuit
There should be a game mode without glitched shortcuts
