This is the most terrifying movie I've ever seen. I can never watch it without turning away at specific scenes
Watch Misery. Another S. King movie. You may change your opinion. I won't spoil it for you
OooOoo, which scenes?
Fred Gwynne was PERFECT to play Jud. Just the murmur of his voice makes you at ease.
In Dr. Creed's defense, he lost his mind, I think he started losing it when he couldn't save Pascow. And he was influenced by the evil in the burial ground.
Zelda gave me nightmares for YEARS!!! That "never get out of bed again!!!" Gives me chills every damn time 😭😭😭😭😭
Sometimes dead is better...
The book is, while being very morbid, an amazing tale of a man going insane
Knowing that everything hes doing is wrong, but just not being able to do otherwise.
That tiny chance, maybe its not too late this time...
I really need to read the book.
@24:03 - The priest is book author Stephen King. He is well known for playing cameo roles in many of the movies which are made from his books!
Whatever or whoever you bury is yours. So Ellie’s cat became Louis’ when he buried it in the Pet Sematary
sometimes… dead is bedduh.
I gotta say, if you are into books at all, this book is an absolute banger. One of the King classics.
**and by banger of course I mean bang bang straight to your damn heart
I’ve been wanting to collect Stephen King books. I’ll probably start with this one because I loved this movie.
I'm not a parent so I'll ask you parents out there. If your kid died tragically. Would you? Knowing it's close by. I go with Judd "sometimes dead is better"
Me personally, I wouldn't be able to do it. I don't believe that it's possible to bring someone back from the dead, unless God is the one doing it. & if it is possible, I don't believe it would be my child anymore.
@@ItsAlaana Me personally, I agree but I have to admit I'd think about it
@@adampare8088 I would think about it too to be honest. But I could never go through with it.
I have contemplated this many times. I would. And I’d most likely regret it.
I loved your reaction to this!
Also damn this movie can be hard to watch.
Have you seen "Shawshank Redemption"? If not please react to it. It's a different kind of Stephen King movie
This is actually in my list of movies to watch. I’ll add it to the next poll.
You know what...super refreshing take. I wouldn't let my daughter marry him either 😂 49:51
😂😂
I would highly recommend the book. It is my favorite Stephen King book. There is a lot more depth to the story in the book. This is one of my favorite horror movies of all time. I first saw it when I was about 10 and Zelda traumatized me. The novel is actually the only book that gave me the creeps and scared me. I haven't sat and watched it in probably 10 years, as a father of three kids I just can't. As a father it just hits too hard for me. It's an Excellent novel and film but a very hard watch.
Another Classic! Am glad to see it & look forward to more, friend!
I always tell my lil "Where were you when?" story on this one for those who may be interested? On April, 8 1994 my band was on break from tour & us & a couple other punk bands headed down to Atlanta to see Frank Black & the Ramones. On the way down we heard non-stop Nirvana blocks on the radio between tapes & wondered why? Then we heard they found Kurt Cobain's body. That night the usually quiet Joey Ramone dedicated "Pet Sematary" to Kurt.
Once again, hope you have a Merry Christmas & a Happy & Blessed New Year!
See ya!
🤘🎅❤️
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you too!❤️
The baby boy was in kindergarten cop and Freddy's new Nightmare his name is Miko Hughes Just a couple I've seen. He still has his baby face.
Thank you! That’s where I know him from. I used to watch Wes Craven’s New Nightmare all the time when I was younger.
He also played on full house
The movie doesn't do a good job of explaining (it hints at it) that the burial ground has been cursed and is inhabited by a wendigo spirit. What ever is buried there comes back as a corpse animated by the evil spirit. And it can get into people's heads and influence them. It's why Judd led Dr. Creed there, and why Dr. Creed followed. It's also why the truckers feel an urge to drive faster on that stretch of road. It shows Rachel visions of Zelda to use her guild over her sister's death to mess wither her head. You don't even have to go there to be influence, just near by.
This explanation makes it all make sense now. I’m going to be reading the book soon to get a better understanding & because I love this story.
@@ItsAlaana The book gave me chills! I highly recommend it.
How good an actor was that kid? To cry on command like that so convincingly?
Very talented
I saw a bunch of horror movies when I was young, most of the Alien franchise, other stuff I can't recall, but the scariest movie I ever saw till this day is Pet Sematary. What made you watch this now? 😂
I love horror movies, especially 70s, 80s, & 90s horror. I’ve been wanting to watch this for a while but I never got the chance too. I made a poll for what movie I should react to, & Pet Sematary won.
@@ItsAlaana nice, this, The Thing and Heredetary are probably my top 3.
@@iampotsatajaagree with you!!
This movie is as much about neglectful parenting as anything else
EXACTLY!!! All of this could have been prevented if they were better parents.
No it's not. The wife's parents yes. But the evil spirit made these actions happen.
