Excellent choice! If you didn’t know, Jones (Cedric) does the voice of Tom on The Boondocks. This show isn’t perfect, but it has some of the best gems on television in ages.

White Chicks was my roommate’s 8yo daughter’s favorite movie. I totally agree that the traditional use of black face had no reverence for black people or culture, and the self-awareness is what makes this work. It’s terrible, which they make clear to us as the audience, and the joke is that they’re the only ones who don’t realize it. Tropic Thunder points out the hypocrisy and favoritism in casting a white guy to seriously portray a black man. White Chicks is unique, but it has a fair premise for the setup and never feels malicious, except against snobby rich girls who come in every color. 🥰

I agree it's definitely a weird season, especially this episode and the one before it. I never much liked this one. But the next two episodes make it all worth while.
