is it a good or bad idea to add tank weights to side mount tanks to stop my tanks from floating up on the ends?

I would say bad idea, we do cover this in our seamount course. You see divers putting weights on the aluminium cylinders, they do this to try and reduce them from lifting. The actual lead weight needs to be closest to the middle point of what you are trying to balance, so put it on the diver the further away it is the less control and balance you have. There is a much bigger problem these same divers do and that is to not have there sidemount cylinders performing correctly on the body, they instead just hang cylinder at side of body, you want rotational tension and cylinders pulling into your body at all times in all orientations, diver head down, diver on side, upside down etc. The best thing you can do is invest in our online training the Masterclass workshop is only £10 with 4 hours of online lessons and a new intro to sidemount program £25 th-cam.com/video/6a3RbAYv3KE/w-d-xo.html. I suggest you invest in them and maybe even consider our full sidemount online course, it will be the best money you spend and will do a lot more than just help you setup your equipment www.sidemounting.com/shop/ Regards, Steve

Have you ever dove the "Scubaforce Blade" Sidemount system? I bought one used from a privat person and i am looking forward to test it.

Sorry, we have not dived this or seen it in the water. Having looked at a few pictures online, it seems very limited on how high you can configure the height of the waist / hip band and the accessories and wing is not really something I think that would work that well. Like most equipment it can be made to work okay but I think something like the xDeep TEC or Razor sidemount system or even Hollis Katana 2 setup correctly will be a much better options.
